  • Wikipedia has Victor Young born on Aug. 8, 1899, and dying Nov. 10, 1956, the year of the release of this great film, which is rather close. He sure went out in a blaze of glory though by hitting on this timeless score, for which music he received an Oscar posthumously, and rightly so.
