  • That isn't a glitch, its just how you play well with Guile. Its perfectly possible to chain together endless sonic booms and flash kicks if you get the timing right. It only needs to be charged for about 1.5 seconds.

  • SONIC BOOM....lol the old days baby.

  • so what you guys are getting at is i should just throw hadoukens?

  • even if you could throw a sonic boom at someone it wouldn't actually hurt them. Except their ears.

  • @kozmon0t Actually the force of it could knock you out or even cause cellular damage. Worse case scenario; ruptured organs and shattered bones. A low flying jet can shatter windows when it breaks the sound barrier within 500' to half a mile, a direct impact from close range is potentially fatal.

Sorry, I'll turn geek-mode off now.

  • @DTSephiroth where did you hear that nonsense? Except for the breaking windows. They can do that.

If Zangief was carrying some panes of glass, a sonic boom would be an effective weapon. And they for sure could surprise and deafen him. I think the damage must have been from repeatedly falling over in surprise.

  • @kozmon0t It's called basic math actually...

It takes less than 20 pounds of pressure per square inch (psi) to break skin and bone. Getting hit with a sonic boom at that range exerts more than 500 psi. At more than 25x what it takes to break a bone, I think you can guess what would happen next.

  • @DTSephiroth I don't need to guess. The air forces of the world have already researched this with low-altitude supersonic passes. The strongest boom recorded by USAF was about 140 pounds per square foot (not inch), at 100 feet altitude, and injured nobody.

20 pounds per square inch is barely above 1 atmosphere. The world freediving record is over 200 feet, at which pressure is over 7 atmospheres, about 100 lbs per square inch. No bones broken.

You're not a very good geek.

  • @kozmon0t And you're missing the main point... 500 Psi was an estimation. Think about what Guile does, he fires off a sonic burst, the equivalent of a sonic boom right? Well the fact that you can physically see the energy means its likely compressed to the point where 500 Psi is not an exaggeration. You're a good researcher but you still fail at extrapolation.

I overestimated what a jet does at low altitudes but the theory behind how the damage works is still sound. No pun intended.

  • @DTSephiroth You can "see" sonic booms from airplanes too. Guile's sonic boom is probably designed from those photos.

I see nothing in Guile's sonic boom to suggest it's several hundred times stronger than a plane's. His opponents are just falling over in surprise.

  • @kozmon0t One last reply then I'm done trying to explain this to you.

You misquoted me very very badly, I said 500 Psi. 140 x Several hundred is much higher. If you prefer to think that shock and awe is why Guile kicks as much ass as he does so be it. Live you your world, I'll live in the real one tyvm.

  • @DTSephiroth me, two comments ago: "140 pounds per square foot (not inch)"

There are 144 square inches in 1 square foot. That's less than 1 pound per square inch. 500 pounds per square inch is several hundred times higher than that.

The world I live in includes a math degree, it's no use getting mad about it. I know my physics too.

  • @kozmon0t Not mad... simply done.

  • @DTSephiroth wise decision.

  • im gonna play hdremix right now

  • electric torpedo? hahaha wtf its a PSYCHO CRUSHER!!!

  • Rapidly press 7 if your a family man

  • Aléqui full o/

  • Rapidly Press 6 for a telepathic nutcheck in midair

  • Rapidly press 2 for teabag

  • Rapidly press 9 for gay porn

  • SONIC B0:00BS

  • @jowrab Well.. I wouldn't go so far as to say they intended to "rip off" those features, I guess they figured they would borrow them, but I see what you mean. MK really didn't have much going for them innovation wise after MK 2, so they desperately needed to take other people's ides and put their own spin on them. As it stands now, its pretty clear that MK is a dying series and its trying everything possible to try and stay alive.

  • You're playing as the guy in the purple shirt. That's the problem.

  • @TerryMasters247 you're gay, thats the proplem,

if you don't knew anything about street fighter, then go home and be a family man

  • @Santivalencia1 u mad?

  • how do u do sonic boom know how to do haduken for ryu and ken but how do u do Guiles Sonic Boom

  • @pshycoman318 Hold back then press forward and punch

  • @pshycoman318

down/back 2 secs and forward punch i believe

  • @joshdreessen

you can also hold back 2 seconds forward punch, you have to press down if you dont want to go backwards but you canuse it whil moving backwards which is good when someone is trying to jump in on you.

  • @pshycoman318 hold back for 2 seconds and slide your finger forward then press punch

  • the computer controlled guile is always throwing sonic booms like that esp in hyper fighting

  • soo how is that glitch done?

  • charge partitioning much? nothing special here.

  • @Indiankote

"charge partitioning much? nothing special here."

There is no charge partitioning in the early SF2 games you moron.

    That's much later in SF3.

If you meant charge BUFFERING, you're still wrong. Even if you buffer the sonic boom charge command as quickly as you can after the first input, there is no way you can do another second boom as quickly as that.

  • @poster12345678 In WW there is a 1-in-512 chance of a button press doing a special move, and a 1-in-512 chance of a move being automatically blocked. It's easy enough to test, just mash mp for awhile and you will eventually do a sonic boom without ever touching the joystick. It's probably not a glitch tho

  • How did u do the glitch???

  • mortal kombat hate? I like street fighter and mortal kombat about the same, specially now that mk is being redeemed with their new game coming out next year.

  • The double sonic boom reminds me of Street Fighter the Movie Guile executing double sonic booms.

  • Thats not a glitch THATS AMERICA!

  • @shazamam NO ZANGEIF FROM USAA OR SOMETHING

  • The glitch on the extra fast double sonic boom has to do with the quick input after the backhand punch that missed that made the charge go alot faster thus made him able to do it faster.

  • Part 2: Back in Street fighter 2 after the input of the strong button quickly followed by the flash kick input it was unblockable and thus took off more damage, now with Street Fighter 4 there are some upgrades to these issues but they are widely used, frankly if you can't do them don't stand a chance. Plus the extra Focus attack dash cancel into other moves makes things more complex.

  • I don't see how you don't see the glitch. See these moves on Street Fighter are common now but when Street Fighter 2 first came out and it took awhile but people figured out if you press a button at almost the exact same time as a special move you get a 2 in one combo. See the combo that they called a glitch was the ducking strong punch followed by the flash kick.

  • Comment removed

  • UTOOOO.....some 1 says MK is better than Street Fighter....

I'll monitor the comments for an interesting reply...hahaha

  • most likely it was the random chance of pressing a button in world warrior resulting in a special move so that people would see them

  • @Necrosis4292 thats exactly what i was thinking when i watched this. theres about a 99% chance that the guy uploading this is more uninformed than the guy he claims to have blocked because of a lack of knowledge.

unrelated to necrosis, anyone who doesnt think MK2 and UMK3 are 100% solid, competitive games knows nothing about mortal kombat. they also dont know that MK fans have been complaining about how cheesey the series got, dont know shit, and need to STFU. this includes you, spazjonez.

  • @majinsupervegito All MK games have crappy controls, lack of strategies, and to many pallette swaps. The lack of creativity in Mortal Kombat along with how terrible the gameplay was (is) makes it a terrible fighting game series.

  • @CCCPSoviet1917 the controls in MK are just fine. you probably want to "roll" the commands like a hadouken, which just doesnt work in MK. when the command is down->forward->low punch they freaking mean it. no down/forward diagonal can be in there. as for lack of strategy, its no more straightforward than street fighter. every character has different combos and juggles with different special moves that define their strategy. even human smoke cant be played like scorpion just like ryu and ken.

  • @majinsupervegito One thing I preferred about MK over SF was(as far as I remember) no moves where you had to charge. just tap tap tap.

  • @lmcgregoruk liu kang's bicycle kick, jax's ground pound, MK3 kano's cannonball, millena's sai throw, and probably a few others required charging a button rather than a direction, but still are charge moves in the since that you have to hold a button for a length of time to do it.

  • Looks normal to me. 4~6 4 LP ~ 6 LP.

  • this isnt a glitch its guile doing his new secret super move "sonic sonic boom"

  • Since when was charge buffering a glitch? God people.

  • @strikerk lol riiight? people should think of it like this. there can only be one sonic boom on the screen at a time thrown by guile, as soon as it lands or is off the screen then another can be thrown. if someone thinks im wrong then they should totally upload a vid of guile throwing two sonic booms at zangief as FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE.

  • but then again I've done that so many times that I guess I don't see it as a glitch

  • what was the glitch?

  • That's called Charge Buffering, it's not a bug.

  • Mann that's sick. 2 sonic boom's :) with speed.

  • Sonic Boom!

  • In world warrior there is a random chance to perform a special every time you push a button. I think it was something like 1/512 chance. All that happened was he shot a boom then pushed an attack button and got a random boom.

  • wow what the hell is everyone saying this is obviously a glitch. you have to charge 2 game seconds or one second in real life to throw a sonic boom. this was more like half a second like SONIC SONIC BOOM

  • It's two Sonic Booms to you doubting retards. The 2nd one is not enough charge time for a normal Sonic Boom input.

  • 2 in a row without charging

  • Game Genie had a code for this. Lots of cheesy fun. I'm guessing this is the SNES version of the game with a game genie.

  • @Alblasker - This is definitely not the SNES version. Its graphics and sound were a bit different from the arcade version.

  • where is the glitch ?

  • I agree with super shadow mario fan why the fuck!!!! would u call it glitch bitch!!!!!!!

  • This GAME is BULLSHIT always spamming bitches!!

  • A sonic boom is a deadly whiff of air.

    PRRRRFFTTTT!!!!

Excuse me, I mean SONIC BOOM!!!

  • como haces para hacer la sonic boom sia cargar hacia atras luego apretar adelante y puño?

  • rape

  • is the glitch the two sonic boms in a row?

  • Damn! I must not play enough of it. I read thru da comments tho. I'll try those suggestions.

  • this is no glitch, as soon as the first sonic boom hits u're able to throw the next one...

  • True...although its rare to throw one after another if your not used to Guile. No glitch here bud...

  • This is a glitch you idiot. He had 1 second before the other sonic boom came out. No glitch here? Ya right you fucking idiot. It's a charge move, HENCE THE NAME, CHARGE. Jeez :/

  • So I'm a dumbass because this never happened to me and even though I tried it MANY times. It has never worked? Yes, I'm a total dumbass, good logic there. Ok so lets take one of my examples.. On super street fighter 2 turbo HD remix, Bisons charge kicks need charge, correct? When I play story here and there, I get to Bison and he pulls off weird moves like. Walking towards me and immediatly doing a scizzor kick or electric torpedo. Explain to me, if they can do it, so I can too then? Hmm?

  • Your right, no glitch here. Just someone who is pretty quick at pulling off sonic booms. Its especially effective if you do a weak (slow) sonic boom first and follow it up with a hard (fast) one.

  • its comes off quickest when it lands

  • You can't do a sonic boom immediatly at that range, as soon as the first sonic boom went he had 1 second before the other one. It's a charge move you fucking idiot. I'm sorry for swearing but you have no idea just what the fuck your talking about

  • No, YOU obviously have no idea what the fuck YOU are talking about.

I have been playing this game in the arcades since you were 3 years old and I know that this is possible as I do it myself.

The move really only requires just over a second to charge. When you do the sonic boom you can start charging for the second one before the first sonic boom animation even starts. All it requires is very fast reactions and well timed button presses.

Now shut your clueless cunt of a mouth.

  • Ya make a video, showing a tutorial on how to do it. And I don't want you to do it once, flukes are nothing. Do it 5 times in a row and I'll believe you, I don't care how long you play, you still don't know dick all about the game. Now either make the video or shut the hell up

  • Still not making the video? Then there is no point in reading your bullshit.

  • Did you even read my comment?

This isn't that hard to do! I've had a look at your videos and seen that you play a lot of street fighter 2 turbo HD remix, so you must know how quickly you can pull off 2 charge moves in a row?

Admittedly it is very different to the SNES version which is much slower, which makes it easier to do 2 sonic booms in a row, which is maybe why you cant do it.

Seriously though, that "sonic sonic boom" is something I remember hearing all the time playing this as a kid.

  • I can only spam sonic booms and chunlis fire ball after it hits BUT AT A REASONABLE DISTANCE. You can't charge a move in 1 second. It takes 3. And I have this game, and I never ever done 2 sonic booms, ever. Dont look at those videos, I've improved 100% lol. I can use a lot of characters but ya, I'll make more vids.

  • Geez. It takes 2 seconds to charge Guiles moves.

The way to precharge a move, so have the next sonic boom already charging is this.

Charge B, F, B+Any punch (thats when the sonic boom comes out) and your already holding back and charging the next one.

  • where is the glich? wtf?? you can buffer the charge by holding down back.

  • Too bad this isn't SF3.

  • he said buffering, not partitioning

  • guile rules his one of my faveroutes

  • @spazjonez You "blocked" Fitopito66 because he wasn't aware of the glitch? lol. I've not played in years - took me some looking at to work out, myself.

  • Typically in order to do a sonic boom, you need to charge back for 2 seconds.. not 0.3 seconds.

  • The problem is there is no problem. And above Zangief's name it says "Push Start". Go Figure.

  • @spazjonez youtube viewers are hilarious

  • Walk back two seconds, push forward and punch, and depending on the strenght of the punch, the faster or slower the sonic boom will move.............

It has been so long since i read it .. and i still remember it.. can you say brainwashing x)

  • dude thats like saying ryu can do 100 hadoukens in a row (idk if he can im just saying) but yeah thats pointless and you CAN use Sonic Boom 2 times in a row...

  • i got the rainbow edition version full arcade, there is no need for the 2 sec its full throttle

  • I played this game when it was first released, the only thing which beat street fighter in popularity was eventually mortal kombat... it's a personal opinion i guess but all the arcade mags announced that MK was bigger after a while.

  • I agree, the 3 great fighting games r SF,KI and MK.

  • yeah KI was pretty badass too :)

  • Absolutely, I personally like it almost as much as SF although SF is slightly better.

  • Maybe in your town MK was better. All magazines agree Street Fighter was eventual winner. Still played in big name tournaments ( EVO, SBO, OHN, etc..)

  • yeah, overall, looking back on it, SFII is still the one people play...

  • exactly...MortalKombat was only good because of the "fatlities" but gameplay was sketchy at best. Only thing that kept people coming back was the added "friendships" and "babalities" and added "fatalities" on each character

  • Agreed totaly amigo. Couldn't have said it better.

  • @ModernNosferatu wrong mortal kombat was and is a great fighting game (old ones) its just the cpu was gay hard and ruined it.

  • @DriftHero77 I beat the CPU.. I agree though MK is better than Streetfighter.

  • @ModernNosferatu Definitely Shock factor made that game. The series peaked at MKII and never really evolved beyond the shlock factor.

  • @ModernNosferatu personnaly, street fighter and mortal kombat were the same crap until MK4 and the alpha serie came out. The main problem I had with street fighter 2 back in the day was the move being too hard to do. The main problem I had with MK was its extreme difficulty

  • @SuperDave341 Really? When I was 6 I thought that MK was complete garbage compared to SF. Now I KNOW it is heh

  • @gotzJazzhandz why do fanboys always start wars like this? I like both sf and mk, but I did prefer ssf4 over that piece of trash mk vs dcu. Now they're making mk 9 though, and it's gonna be great.

  • @gotzJazzhandz Gameplay wise.. yea, it was garbage. As the Angry video game nerd would say, it was like covering a shit sundae with chocolate sprinkles. The gameplay was the exact same for every character and the only thing that separated each character besides their looks were the special moves. in SF, each character has is own hit priority and distance, so its a very deep fighting engine. and the sprinkles? The violence/ fatalities and blood and innovation, being the digitized sprites.

  • @ModernNosferatu for me, both game , the SNK fighting game and killer instinct were all like the same.

Much like Doom and all his clone

  • @SuperDave341 Doom was the original and best FPS game, just like Street Fighter 2 was the first and best 1 on 1 fighting game.

  • @FacePlant92 I cant beleive this blasphemy! But fact are fact, street fighter was the most sucessful one but certainly not the best (Sucesseful do not mean the best)

  • @SuperDave341 You're entitled to your opinion, I just think all the new stuff is way too flashy - I do agree that the major changes ctarted coming in the alpha series though.

I dont hate ANY video games, Ill just say that :p

  • I played as Sagat and kept Fierce Punching and then shooting a projectile straight after when i was trying to do the Tiger Uppercut

  • No that's just the computer cheatin'. Ever notice how the computer did everything faster?

    E. Honda's Hundred hand slap was one of the main things.

  • Yeah I've noticed the computer does that quite often, but Guile is not CPU controled in this match, it's me, P1.

  • So how'd you do it?

  • According to user KingRingSting, Quote: In SF2 WW it is possible to do these "combos" consisting of 2 charge moves (without charging). There is approximately a 1/256 chance of being able to pull-off a special move from a single button press.

  • I could barely do Sonic boom. CPU does it so fast but I have to walk back for long. Any instructions? I will thank you so much.

  • You're the 1st to pick up on that. Sonic boom is walk back for 2 seconds then toward + punch. And sometimes lucky, 2 come out.

  • I wouldn't call it a glitch, the cpu does charge combos like that a lot in street fighter games triple sonic boom guile, double knee press M.bison and combo dash punches from balrog I have always wondered how it does it...

  • OMG SETH PISSES ME OFF ONLY ON MEDIUM. i breeze through medium easily only until seth gets in my way.... i haven't beat him on medium yet....

  • agree~honest saying I ain't a pro SF player...it's real annoyed

  • This is definetly true with the first street fighter 2. you couldn't even get a head bite off of M.Bison back then.

  • Na...there's no luck involved. You can't do it. That's a cpu thing. It doesn't charge the Sonic Boom. I'm an old school Guile player from when this game was in the arcade....yes I know I'm giving away my age..hehe. I knew all the tricks and glitches with Guile...have the trophies to prove it. OMG I'm a dork. :o)

  • Another thing is...you don't have to walk to charge sonic boom..you can crouch back and then forward..and I don't know that it's 2 seconds...is it that long? I don't remember it being that long?!?!?

  • Yeah it's 2, could be shorter if you play on the higher speed settings like Turbo 2 or 3.

  • It not Luck...I am not a master at Guile but am a MASTER with Ken & Ryu and there are ton of Hadouken "glich combos"...

  • My favorite is the knee to Hadouken. you can't press forward or backward like you can with other glitch-combos. On the knee with forward button you have to press the button all by it'self without use of the joystick or controler + then real fast after pressing forward button grab the joystick or put fingers back on contoller and do a delayed or what i call a "late" Hydouken and it will run through as one move.

  • Brings back memories, no console comes close to the Super NES. Classic game to

  • glitch? haha, ok.

  • it's not a glitch what the hell are you talking about

  • research charge partitioning.

  • Fail

  • if you throw one, and it hits, you can throw another one right after it. I've seen those before, most likely done some - the first one just has to hit then you can throw another...I think.

  • amazing

    moves

  • The CPU can do this too on harder levels.

  • I don't think it's a glitch. I think it;s because you did the sonic boom twice in a row he didn't have time to catch up

  • How many times must you do the sonic boom ONCE in a row by charging the joystick back for 2 seconds then press forward + P, so that I know it's a glitch ?

  • Ahh, dude, I only played it mainly on Mega Drive. So I'm not sure. I just remember that once you do a power, eg: Sonic Boom, you have to let it go or if you do it again too soon it will just start over again

  • yea the old school manuals say charge button for 2 seconds and then do it

  • You don't know shit, do you?

  • How is this possible?

  • haha yeah this was a fluke. let you know if we figure it out.

    Regards, Spazbob.

  • In SF2 WW it is possible to do these "combos" consisting of 2 charge moves (without charging). There is approximately a 1/256 chance of being able to pull-off a special move from a single button press.

  • Hey thanks man. That would explain why people have difficulty when tryin it out. And why I can't do it again.
