  • benchmade model 42?

  • secare still hasn't played tf2...

  • Just cut my finger. F*ck it hurts.

  • respect the blade. RESPECT IT!!!!

  • Y U NO CHANGE CLOTHES

  • Hes the Red Spy!Red Spy in the Base!

  • HES! THE READY SPY!

  • @azteckia try using slo-mo in the video to explain the moves better

  • @yer4436 how do you learn the same move 20 times?

  • @Jimmt0 LOL steven u learn forget, then learn again :P

  • 7 people cut their fingers off

  • *ahem* Gentlemen?

  • PS; Zen rollover is the exact same thing.

  • not intermediate i can learn this move 20 times. im looking for MORE advanced tricks.

  • i want to get one but where

  • @master1233345 try E-bay

  • Please Reply where do you get these balisongs i need one to practice..

  • @fatboy12290 Go to chinatown for practice balisongs. They range from about 7-45 dollars. usually the 45 dollars ones are knockoffs of a bm42 or a jaguar. I recommend getting a real bm42 and going to chinatown with it and try to match the weight

  • Is this stuff hard to learn? Looks pretty difficult but I'd love to try it. Too bad there illegal in my state. Freaking idiots...

  • what song plays at the intro

  • for understanding...do you all make this with sharped balisong or not??

  • I can do the Y2K easy but I can't get this move to hug my thumb. Any tips?

  • wait... zen rollover goes the opposite direction to this move rite? i mean i thought zen rollover is similar to Y2K, just differ in horizontal and vertical.. am i rite?

  • @Myujin a zenrollover rolls out horizontally into a fighting grip, while a y2k rolls vertically and ricochets back up. so you are pretty much right

  • Awsome and its called a y2k

  • I can't do this without it becoming an aerial, so anyone with tips please enlighten me on how to do it.

  • you have the same balisong as me, where did you buy it??

  • the tf2 spy does that

  • FUCK YOU AND YOUR BM 42!

makin' me all jealous and shit...

  • I did it on my first try!! What are the chances? I'm so glad I got a quality balisong to learn with too. A little scotch tape on the blade and BLAM! - Trainer. I'm DYING to find a BM42 to buy, and they're IMPOSSIBLE to find. I really don't like the whole G handles on the morpho's and whatnot. I only like metal handles. I don't know why.

  • Its called the Zenz Rollover

  • wtf, I was going for this move and it did some aerial and catched it closed...

  • whats name of the song?

  • i was practicing this move and i messed up and i spun it in the palm of my hand and it closed it was cool as hell

  • fuck U BM 42 owners !

  • mentlegen

  • linked video tf2 meet the spy XP

  • How long is that blade?

  • i did it my first try

  • Gentlemen.

  • Y2K

  • my knife is al different lol the safety hatch is on the safe handle lol

    imported that knife from mexico

  • what balisong is that, i always see them but never know what their called or where to get em

  • @IshAnkUall Benchmade 42

  • its called the red spy (as a slang term) because in the meet the spy video its the trick he does at the end before killing the heavy and the soldier

  • @Eyeninja645 It's formal name is the y2k rollover, the Red Spy is just something that TF2 fanboys gave it.

  • Comment removed

  • Lol the move at 0:33 is a zen rollover.

What really grinds my gears is how people call it the "Red Spy," when the Red Spy does quite a few other moves. It's called the Y2K rollover, you fanboys.

All annoyances aside, great tutorial bro.

  • @Balipino It's called "Red Spy" because it was made his famous move from "Meet the Spy".

  • @Eyeninja645 Dude, I love TF2 as much as the next guy, but he's just saying The Spy did a lot more than just a Y2k rollover and calling it that is silly.

  • @Balipino Don't care. My brother figured out how to do it by himself without any walkthrough and named it the red spy. Stop getting pissy about what people want to call it.

  • @Balipino Agreed. I was atleast nice enough to do my research first.

  • @Balipino no the red spy does the zen rollover y2k is vertical

  • Its called the zen rolover

  • That hipster's a spy!

  • The side ways helix begging thing he does at about :42 is called The Spy

  • azteckia , i have a problem: when i do (for example) the Y2K rollover - i feel that the knife touches my thumb, and when i do orbit i dont feel it, i mean its like the knive is flying. is this normal ?

  • Actually, that's the Zen Rollover. The Y2K rollover is slightly different, normally being done vertically, and involving a ricochet.

  • 6 persons cute his finger LOL

  • @RockMySrocks

sorry, quick correction. I guess you can start off with the safe handle too, but that is not the distinction. I said cutlerylover, but I forgot that's actually not where I got this tutorial.

    /watch?v=N2hCDmZeREM&feature=related

is where I got it, and it's also why people are calling it the "Red Spy."

    Just to clarify.

  • @RockMySrocks

still me. He does the wrist pass to save a step, not to stop himself from cutting himself. The reason the y2k hits his knuckles is because at the angle he does it at, he can't do a wrist pass. watch the video, but closer. Just when he starts it. he's holding it by the bite handle.

and how many knives you've bought has no impact on how knowledgeable you are. I am not a beginner. You are. I am not stupid. You are.

  • @RockMySrocks

no it's not. the only difference between a zen and a y2k rollover is whether it's vertical or horizontal. cutlerylover has done tutorials on both, check them out.

  • can you recommend me a really good high quality butterfly knife trainer?

  • eather zen roll or y2k roll

  • a benchmade 42, nice

  • The y2k is then you start with the tang down, not up. This is clearly a different move.

It is very similar, but different

  • I have a model 51 morpho but I want the model 42 sooooo bad...

I'm gonna try to trade with someone who has it.

  • 0:33 zen rollower...

  • @balibalisong i believe its rollover

  • @balisongsuser typo*

  • has anyone ever cut their fingers off while doing this crap

  • @bigboiXz yup...

  • @bigboiXz o hells yea

  • HOW LONG DID U TAKE TO DO IT

  • Y2K = vertical Zenrollover = horizontal.. Spy does the y2k

  • I can't figure out where to catch it on the roll. :(

  • Lol I just got one for christmas. :D

  • @HappyCaddy Me too :D

  • Did someone kill a red spy on the way here? No? Then we still have a problem.

  • i have that shirt.

  • @great0able hah, actually its not, he started with the safe handle and did it horizontally. It was a zen rollover. And its only called the red spy if you learned about balisongs through tf2...

  • @great0able

no it's not, it's the Zen rollover. the y2k is vertical; that's horizontal.

  • @great0able it's a zen...

  • When ever practicing BF knife tricks. Stick 2 layer strips of electric tape over the edge of the blade to avoid accidental cuts. Just dont get carried away cause the knife will slowly cut its way through the tape so always handle your knives with caution as normal.

  • @Natedawg422 or you can buy a practice knife

  • where can i get a legit balisong? the only place i know to get one only has crappy ones

  • hey, where do i get a legit balisong? the only place i know to go only has craptastic ones

  • IamCleta is a Spy!

  • No, it's called the Y2K Rollover, the red spy just uses it.

  • @UnevenElefant5 no bits not watch cuterlylovers video

  • @MegaEliteMan that's the y2k roll over

  • @Angelz000 zen rollover y2k is the brother where the knife verticle instead of horrizontel

  • @MegaEliteMan actually it is the y2k

  • @bigazan lol he knows he was just joking around because in a team fortress 2 commercial thats the trick the red spy did.

  • @MegaEliteMan I've been practicing that trick since yesterday. I got it from the same video. I almost have it done too.

  • @MegaEliteMan the Y2K Rollover

  • @MegaEliteMan It's actually called the Y2K.

  • @Ninja0ftheeMist I already know that, but cool people call it the red spy xD

  • @MegaEliteMan not really... I've never ever heard it that way.

the red spy make the Y2K rollover famous in the machinima, not the other way around.

  • @Valkiraun So. Iv'e heard a lot of people call it that, and that's what I heard when learning it.

  • @MegaEliteMan no, its called the zen rollover. (source: cutlerylover)

  • @MegaEliteMan the technical/real name is a y2k

  • @link7927 The y2k spins around the back of your hand, this one only spins around the thumb

  • @MegaEliteMan

it has nothing to do with red spy that was a cartoon on someones page that did not know the name of the move ...it's the y2k

  • @MegaEliteMan thats the y2k

  • @MegaEliteMan red spy is basically sland its really the y2k rollover

  • @MegaEliteMan No... no its not.

  • @MegaEliteMan actually its called the Y2K

  • the "sideways roll" is a thumb roll :)

  • that guy is a spy ! ( its he's move)

  • this seems quite dangerous... im gonna learn it anyway...

  • The move where you roll around your thumb is called the Y2K.

  • hey dude i have the model 42 aswell. sick knife

  • how many times have u accidentally cut ur self?

  • From watching your videos I've made a new trick thats my ace. I do a orbit to a around the world to a behind the eight ball to an aerial =D thanks.

  • why does everybody have a model 42?! theres more than one kind of balisong you know. i know its a great thing to own but damn , every single person on youtube has one

  • what is the song in the background called?!?!

  • Like Zen Rollover...

  • Just bought 2 today a practice knife and a real one with a very very sharp blade lol im not touching that one till I know what Im doing XD

  • nice!!! i'll give it a try.

  • At 2:09, see how his knife is parallel to the ground? How do you catch it like that? every time i try it; my blade is facing down. Like I'm holding the wrong side of the safe handle. What am i missing??

  • I like azteckia videos

  • I like ateckia videos

  • I'm a filipino and i'm happy cause, many people around the

world find this interesting and cool.

  • are balisong illegal in U.S.A

(cause i am canadian and here it is illegal)

  • @lucdavid007 Only in some states, I think. (I'm Brazilian, and here it's not ilegal in any state, I guess.

  • @lucdavid007 I know its legal in Minnesota but its illegal in most other states

  • @Schimml0rd why dont u just use a trainer lol like me

  • Comment removed

  • did you ever notice tht all the balisong people have the same balisong

  • @predator9x9 its called a benchmade 42 and yes

  • but dont you atleast FEEL like the blade will slip and then it will stab you?

  • @phillipparent11 You do at first. When I started, all I could think of was, "I'm gunna get stabbed, omgomgomgomg, I'm gunna die if I mess up!"

But eventually, if you can get past that and just tell yourself that you won't mess up, the fear goes away, and even if you do screw up, you end up with a cut on your finger, boohoo, it stings a bit.

Although if you're a hemophiliac, you may want to reconsider your hobby.

  • ACHTUNG! SPY D:

  • thumb rollover+quick draw= this

  • do you know if basilongs are legal in the UK or not?

  • called the "y2k rollover"

  • Try only using your index and thumb for the first part.... it's way easier to avoid hitting your hand

  • i am starting with a jaguar classic for flipping,

its about 7 ounces( i think... it might be in grams) is that to heavy for flipping

    apreciate an answer... nice vids

  • holy cow dude that's sick!...i'm not even going to try that until i get something better then a cheap 20 buck knock off haha

  • 0:38

    thats a Y2k rollover

  • ur not even intermediate ur shit u cant even do it properly so just stop before i really show u how its done

  • @junkrat1 Your tears are flooding the internet.

  • @413cameron cause apparently the fags ar rich

  • awww! i thought i made this trick haha

  • I've been playing with 15-20$ knives and have done just fine. I picked this trick up in no time with a little bit of practice. Cheap knives are just fine..

  • its not true that every cheap bali is bad...i both a copy of the jaguar model for $5 and i can tell you the quality is awesome!

  • its the zen .35

  • So basically, what you're saying is that by spinning it, you get it to exactly your starting point... wtf?

  • the "unknown" move was a zen roll over

  • isn't that pretty much a zen rollover?

  • looks like a y2k to me

  • That's not an easy one but it's awesome !!!

I just started learning it and the only problem i have is that

i catch the safehandle and the blade :D:D

  • y does everyone on youtube have a benchmade 42?

  • @Twisted4000

The bradley the kimura II is very similar and half the price, but to answer your question yes.

  • ur thinking of the zen rollover

  • its called zen rollover

  • ummmm no

    you are not correct

  • ummmm no

    your not correct

  • hard one :O

    btw

    whats the song?

    its addicting!

  • Dude you're awesome! Thanks for all the tricks :D

  • Comment removed

  • the sideways roll around the thumb is a horizontal Y2K =)

  • nope

  • uh, ya it is...

  • i'm guessing "zen rollover" doesn't ring a bell huh?

  • needs a new butterfly knife :(

  • Ehh hard shit

  • Huh its not hard as i was thinking :D

  • Just a note, the move you reference is called the 'Zen Rollover' by Cutlerylover. That's where I learn it. I like this Orbit variation though, going the other way seems a lot more slick for some reason.

  • Sweet, thanks. I just picked up a $5 butterfly bottle opener (cheap, not sharp, and not illegal) and I am playing with that to learn tricks

  • perfect ...

  • where exactly did you buy this balisong knife from and for how much???

  • it's definetly a benchmade model 42 and costs about 180 $ i believe

    (bad english ;D ?)

  • Yea, it's deffinatly a Benchmade 42, so that'll most likely run you about $200-280. Thet're discintinued now, so it's rough to find, but an amazing balisong.

  • great video. the thing that helped me get this trick was to choke up a ton on the handle so my thumb was right in the pivot when i did the rollover.

  • 2:06 ouch.. of you catch it with strength

    or isn't it very sharp?

  • i caught my hand a couple times but its a very cool move. nice video
