this song sums up the young scott's world view to perfection, and in unison through the great mystery of art our own reflection and interpretation of his work and emotive imagining of human existential despair. whats the weather like scott? its raining of course. What are you doing? staring out a window...of course. Whats on your mind scott? a girl...that empty meloncholic space in my heart...and my lonely observations of a world slowly passing by.
I bet the BBC have this lot somewhere - they just need to really search - so much has been found that was 'lost' - we need to get these 'found' - are they so stupid - I want to buy them - all of us Scott followers want them - there is an album, I have it , bought it way back when, you telling me they destroyed the pics - somewhere lost when someone was too high to catalogue correctly!!!!!
Thank you so much for this. Scott has been the soundtrack to my life since I discovered him in my late teens. This was just what I needed at this moment.
It's too bad that such a great American songwriter is rendered into such obscurity (here in the US) that his name is to be overshadowed by some union-busting asshole politician. May the former outlive the latter. (Sorry bringing politics into a conversation about music, I just found that interesting)
This is wonderful. It shows how real his magnificent voice is and not a studio product. Simply one of the absolute greatest singers in recorded history.
thank you again for sharing with us your wonderful music tracks. Headed to the beach with the dogs this morning and brought scott's music with me, the space was to infinity. Thanks for existing Scott.
Thank you, These are the only recordings of Scott singing live that I know of. Maybe some video footage will turn up of these shows. His first 5 albums are wonderful some of the best ever made. Scott 4 in particular was light years ahead of everyone at that time, it didn't really find an following until the mid 90's by which time he released Tilt. Released in 95, Tilt was just cutting edge as Scott 4 was in 69. If he never releases another album I think that The Drift will be seen as his best.
I wish I could, Cletonico! Unfortunately, as far as we know, the BBC destroyed all episodes from this TV series, so unless someone has managed to hide a copy somewhere, it is virtually impossible to see it... I still find it amazing the audio has survived!
i'll hope someone, of the bbc had a good shape thinker brian and thought it could be a very good thing to made acopy of them, keep them in good shape, andupload or post them on any place. i'll pray

Another gem that I've not heard before, we class Scott as a brit these days, he's lived here for so long.
