I went to mchs , an i dont see nothing wrong with having a private prom, our private prom were just to get away from the teachers or supervisors to cut loose an have fun . And at our proms any culture being white,black,mexican who ever could come . It wasn't a big deal at all. I am soon to be a student of the high school of montgomery county. I have been a part of montgomery county for 4 years. I do not agree with some of the things that these people say. We are not a racist school. The students are the ones who choose to make things the way they are!!! And the people who dont go to school here should not have anything to say about the situation. The SMART thing to do (and smart is generally not a characteristic of white parents too poor to send their kids to private schools, or too low on moxy to move to an all-white school district...but some people really are trapped by circumstances)....anyway, the smart thing is to support the prom, but not go (and instead, go to semi-secret private formals not labeled as 'proms'). Proms are so downmarket, anyway. My kids roll their eyes and give 'thumbs down', whenever the word 'prom' comes up.

Im from the class of 2007 our prom was great. as we all know senior walk is open to the public and we had many of our black friends join us on the dance floor afterwards and they where welcome, no one ask them to leave. It has always been this way , all i can say it that people like making a big deal out of small things.

next year when prom get's here it will be up to the senior class as usual and who know what the furture might bring.

If ONLY I had missed the prom. No, I was going to stay away, even though ours was a private school thing at the Country Club. But the stinking bitch Valedictorian/Class President used emotional blackmail tactics to get me to take a poor fat girl, because "No girl should miss her prom." It drove a wedge between me and my family, because during the grad ceremony, I was really mad and hostile, rather than focusing on gratitude for family's paying for 5 years of very expensive schooling.
