basically the only way to score is if you have total outside numbers that are in counts of 5's. like 5, 10, 15, 20. only the outside dots count as numbers but can change with whatever dominoe you put on it. the other way to play in "blocks" dominoes is just count up the points by whoever calls out dominoes. i hope i was able to make some sense...

yup there is no crosses just two sides of the domino also the highest bone doesnt have to be a double cause technically who won last is the first one to go in the next game and if you dont have a double you can use the highest mixed bone.....this arent the rules..... you wanna learn the right way puerto ricans dominicans and cubans are experts at this game ...

@damudaima those are made up rules. in the official game you count 5. it all depends on how you want to play. we usually play 10 to get in. you can count 5's afterwards though.
You should really think about doing a video, because your right, youtube has no good videos on playing real dominoes- especially real money games- I would sure like to learn :)

That method of scoring allows you to break up your points into 50 point sections. It makes it easy to count your points.
