  • Sorry, but this is not a "fail" and these are not "flaws" ... you just didn't know what you were buying.

  • Sorry but your an idioot...

  • I like the organization and slimness of this bag but you bring up a good point. I don't like the feeling of an off balance bag I prefer my bags close to my body, this is the main reason I stay away from messenger/slinger bags. Thanks for the info.

  • There is always going to be stupid people like you that want to desecrated hard working peoples work now I am going to buy one of these bags thanks for not convincing me not to buy one. It does hold a lot of water the pocket in the back you said would hold your spare pants is where you put your bladder pack you fucken bitch by the way to the girl in the video nice boobs

  • I find your gripes unfounded and amateurish.

  • I pack a survival kit when I snowmobile I ride very hard including jumping my sled and never once has the bag fallen off or even shifted off center for that matter when properly strapped people r just wayyyyyyyyy to bitchy about everything anymore

  • how much of coffee did you have?

  • I do really like the Hazard Plan-B bag, albeit better for an operator though.

I use the Monsoon for my EDC and have a couple of other Condor bags I use for PSD, which BTW are great bags for the money. I'd put money down on a Maxpedition or a Condor bag any day.

A guy at work just bought a J-Tech, which he seems to like as well.

Something to think about, but the Sitka is battle proven pretty well over in Afghanistan with operators. No real complaints as of yet.

  • @PersonalGeek hmm sounds like i will need to check those out too one day! Thanks!

  • @NeptuneKnives: There is no perfect bag, unless you're willing to drop a few hundred dollars on a made in the USA "made to order bag" like those from John over at "Original SOE".

  • you're one picky SOB... the strap is opposite to allow for the user to slide it sideways to the front and have easy access to the compartments.

You should have gotten a two strap pack.

  • @PersonalGeek actually the pack that I still need to review is the Hazard 4 evac plan B LOL That bag has the strap dwon the middle & is easily switched to left or right shoulder & is much more secure. It is honestly a better bag. I got it suggested by Darckchild here on YT whom's very respected

  • Hey, brother You know that if you tighten the shoulder strap and use the cross strap it wont ever fall off, or have a gap in the back. I jogged with it on, and walked through the woods for over 2 hours and it never felt loose at all, and I'm only 5' 9" and weigh about 125, so it will conform to small people such as myself lol. You have to adjust these bags to fit you. And you can carry a second water bottle underneath the crossed shock cord over the loop field. Check out my review if you want :)

  • @sherman614 yah man /i will thanks! I know you can tighten the straps but I felt it still moved around. I'm heading over there to ur vid now :) Thank you very very much sir!

  • @NeptuneKnives

Did you return it, or did you end up keeping it? :)

And it shouldn't move a whole lot if you also tighten up the cross strap, but i carry my bag pretty high, if you like to carry it lower on your back it MIGHT slip around a little. Mine may be tighter cause that's how i carry it, idk lol. I think it only flops to one side in this vid cause the cross strap is loose. But yeah, if you have any questions about this or any other Maxpedition product, ask away :)

  • All you have to do is tighten the cross strap (The small strap with the whistle) And it will straighten it out against your back. And when it's tightened, it will help prevent it from falling off of your shoulder.

  • it is meant to be worn tight and for us with CCW's, the back compartment... not a typical backpack...it is also for one to shoulder a weapon...but i liked the review....

  • I have also a maxpedition bag but my gear slinger its the lunada and this one its similar in size to the sitka a little smaller, but this one have the strap in the midle and i hate that because when you load to much on it you feel that the strap its teisting around your shoulder and it feels unconfortable, i think this its one reason for maxpedition to change the position of the strap ehen they design the sitka and the kodiak

  • @battleminion you may be right sir interesting

  • i had the same feeling about the sitka and so i went with the FALCON-II the best pick ive ever made i love it

  • @butthurtginger interesting weve opted to go for the hazard 4 evac b I'll check this one out again thanks

  • Hey Dave and Mel, yeah, that didnt seem to sit well on Mel. I recently got the Falcon 2 and love it. No, shoulder "slinging", just good reliable comfortable and evenly weighted backpack. I'm moving away from one shoulder slinging packs, I find that after a full day of having one on one side I pull up sore, but not when I use a conventional backpack.

I wouldnt mind checking the pigmi falcon for something smaller with the same duel strap features though.

  • @troy5690 Yes I'm actually taking Darkchild's advice & bought a Hazard 4 Evac Plan B. I go through my day & in the end just fee more comfortable with the single shoulder but we make it a goal to really lighten our eDC as much as we possibly can

  • Nice review!

  • You should have given it away in a contest or something :P, J.k :), but yeah i do hear you brotha... that could get annoying with the bag just flopping around on the other side like that...

  • Maxpedition is popular on YT because Maxpedition gives a ton of their gear for free to many channels on here.

  • I have one of the gearslingers (lunada?) and its great. But it does have the centrally mounted strap. It sort of swings around, too.

Just got the Falcon 2 for when I'm carrying the laptop and stuff

  • I own the sitka , and it sits flush on my back..... Seems like you had it too loose.

  • Check out the Falcon 2. I love mine. Literally goes everywhere with me.

  • Thank goodness you told us, I honestly was going to get one in black for an upcoming trip I have planned. Well anyway, thanks for the info, very informative as usual :)

  • its almost like they never tested this out. lol

  • @nmooney151 Yah IDK they really messed up on a great opportunity. I had high hopes for this one but now I'm gona have to go checkout Darkchild57's pack suggestion :)

  • Great point man. That's why I like my Hazard 4 Plan B, the single strap is in the middle so the corner doesn't flap out. Also when the strap is in the middle it allows the bag to be ambidextrous by moving the bottom strap to the other side. I had looked at the Sitka and didn't like it for that fact. The Plan B and the 5.11 MOAB Rush were my top two picks.

  • Great review Dave! I knew there was something about the Sitka that I didnt like. Like I mentioned on the last video that Im not a fan of the single strap construction and you make an excellent point about how the bag will sway due to its strap placement. Maybe its because of Mel's small frame that the bag doesnt sit entirely flush against her back. Cant wait to see what you get.

  • good man! Every review on you tube dosen't need to be positive, If people don't give constructive feedback, companies won't know what the hell is going on and will continue to make inferior products

  • Thank you Dave for this because I like this and order from my friend shop but now I must think and look at something else !!
