This is 4 msklee87. No it doesn't matter if the pole rotates. I am a dancer and I can do some pretty hard tricks and my body will still spin around the pole and I can hold my my self with no hands on the pole. Ur body provides resistance and ur skin so-2-speak grabs the pole and holds u n place. Pole dancing is an art, not easy 2 do but it keeps u n shape and it's a gr8 exercise
