Generally it is not uncommon that children are wearing light clothing in summer. Just like here in their underwear, they sometimes play on the playground. We Germans are liberal in this respect. But for a school that is unusual even here. I would not feel that bad if I could see the face of the teacher.

These are wordless cartoons. I have the students describe the situation trying to use all the important structures. Then I have the students role play the situation.

I've had a lot of success with this. It's the fastest way I've seen to give them a good command of important structures.

This is good material for language exchanges too. It's good for any language.

It differs.

Normaly they start with englishlessons in grade 5.

Sometimes elementary schools teach english too.

So that would be in the first grade.

The Children are at the age of 6 or 7 than.

Im learning German and stumbled on this video, it is adorable those kids are having a great time. It made me laugh. My mom use to run a preschool and sometimes the art projects got messy so she did the laundry and the kids would run around in their undies, also on hot days she would let the kids play outside in the kiddy pool in their undies and they would learn about water and what animals lived in water.

I have to note that German kids normally do wear clothes. Maybe it was a hot day, or they had just bathed or something, but it's strange anyway. Also, while the place looks like a school, the kids look pre-school age (3 to 5) and are most certainly not students of the institution. I don't really know what they were doing there.

I am a German and I think it is strange, when kids run around without clothes, but it might be because I am from the northwestern Germany (Ostfriesland). It's different than the rest of Germany.

By the way: "Fisch auf Deutsch ist das selbe Wort wie in Englisch." Why "wie"? If you compare something (faster, slower, bigger or smaller) it means "als", but if you give exactly informations, it has to be "wie" (as big as or two times bigger).
