lovin ur vids - start Swift Academy on Monday 14 Nov 2011.
Doesn't matter recruiter, driver, whatever ur one of few that put vids out w/ positive info, some substance that helps us nu-bees in decision making.
I'm fortunate to have a cousin & best friend that are drivers (20+ yrs) so between the 3 of you i'm getting pretty good info. Some of the stuff i ask them they've long forgotten, but then i have you from a nu-bee perspective so i'm feeling good about the info i'm gettin.
YOU GUYS ARE OUT OF YOUR FUCKEN MINDS, CHECK OUT MY VIDEOS HOW MUCH I MAKE DRIVING LOCALLY, NO AMERICAN DIRTBALL OTR WILL MAKE AS MUCH AS ME IN THEIR LIFE YOU AMERICAN SUMBAGS
Hey Big Cat! I was with Swift for 4 months and I got into some trouble with a couple minor accidents. I decided I wasn't quite ready and walked away. I think I'm a lot more prepared now to get back into trucking after being away 6+ months. Can you give me some advice about how to go about re-applying to Swift. Thx man, and God Bless!
hi bigcat my name is angel im, going to swift in pa. on the 8th of august . I have my CDL what can i expect when i get there they told me i have 3 days orientation then im on the rode with my mentor for 6 weeks is this true? email me or call me at 973-336-6441 thanks
Big cat is not a driver..hes a recruiter for Swift...Hes just a rookie..with a brand new custom 10k wrapped Volvo tractor, that only leaves Texas to go to shows
Is that our boy BigCat??? What's up my man - hit me up next time your in town so we can grab some grub for real this time though - LOL. Dude you are holding it down for SWIFT man - keep up the good work man. I'm proud of you for all that you are accomplishing. Stay true to your vision and you'll be rewarded. Sending love from AZ - azpro
to keep the exterior of your truck clean, that be a job for mother nature and that is not an expense I'd ever absorb and wait for reimbursement on. Swift can give you a PO or if you are in Phoenix you can run your tractor through the company wash. Same goes for washing out the trailer which is not an out of pocket expense on the driver.
Whats Good Big Cat im getting into trucking just waiting to take my road test love your vidoes man and thanks for the advice that your giving to everyone i cant wait to see more God Bless you man
Greetings Big Cat, Luv Your Videos. I Have A CDL Class A Permit With Double - Triples And Tanker Endorsement. Tomorrow Friday October 8th 2010 Going For My Hazmat Endorsement Written Test. Iam Attending Dpinto Driving School Located In Brooklyn New York. I'm Scheduled For My Road Test On November 4th 2010 In Red Hook Brooklyn New York. Big Cat Thank You Again. Great Work. God Bless You And Your Family. Onyx From Brooklyn New York...
BCT Thank you for takin time to share with us newbees. I'm especially interested in what safety advice you have for us women out here. My teenage son wants me say thanks in advance for helping keep his Mom safe. I want to know how I can reasure him so that he doesn't worry-any advice on that? Thanks again Big Cat, much love brother
Good stuff! newbies hang in there..I went to truck driving school back in 1991.A whole 16 weekends..trucking is a good career choice. .Your 1st 6 months of OTR is an adventure..After that it's nothing but hard work! You'll learn to hate big city traffic (anything on I-95 north of Va)and absolutely love the open road of the western states..minus the snow and ice..stay safe!
BigCat you are one cool dude. The world needs more people like you. It is awsome that you are trying to help complete strangers. Keep the videos coming and be safe.
wats up big cat trucker i wanted to be a truck driver since i was in grade school because my dad was i truck driver and my brother is a truck driver. and im going to truck driving school a few months
Whats good bro, uh niggers bout to go to swift and just had a few questions. Is it hard to find places to park overnight by yourself without other trucks around? Whats a good power inverter for tv and cookin?
I myself am in a CDL class, It's a fairly slow, but thorough course and your videos do indeed help.
I don't have many people to leave behind, but I've had the talk with those who I will.
A swift recruiter also paid visit to my class, and having watched your videos, and doing some research it would appear I'll be applying to hire on with them as well.
I hope to find it as pleasant as you have, Take care out there and, as my instructor says "Keep the greasy side down"
Big Cat, I've heard stories from my newbie friends regarding their relationships with their mentors. All have been positive. Address proper mentor behavior, how much driving time a newbie can expect each day, how much money should a newbie leave home with. What was your experience like? Much love to you and your family.
Hi Big Cat. Thanks for the shout-out. You are on it with the newbie info. After orientation there was so much uncertainty as when I would actually get a mentor and get on the road, until I took a part-time job so that I could keep my finances up to a comfortable level. I postponed my OTR until the end of August to give Swift enough time to match me. I'm working my old job until then. I have my driver code, CommData Card, and keeping up my log book. Thanks Big Cat.
Hey bigcat great job on the videos I've been witcha since day one you've came a long way, thanks for taking the time to make these videos, the editing is awesome. I'd like to get some tips on editing vidz I have 5 on my page shot wit my phone so the footage is real poor no editing at all but in time hope to have more and better. Keep up the good work and God Bless u and ur family
That's the way to do it bro. You can complain about the lack of professionalizem and "rookies", OR you can give your knowlage and experience to bring the right people to trucking!
Thanks for the video. I'm a single guy with no kids so staying out is easier for me. I just completed the online training with Swift, tomorrow I go to the DMV to take my knowledge test for my CDL-permit!
Hey Big Cat...lots of great advice. Always great to hear you speak with such motivation for others. As always...looking forward to the next show. Be safe and we'll see ya soon...C'min!!!
Hey BigCat. Just want to say that what you are doing for the industry is AWESOME. You are showing great love and passion and helping so many people out by taking this venue with your videos. Me and Jan love what your'e doing here and we are prould to know you and have you as a friend!

Going into the trucking industry was definetly a big step for our family and having you gone for weeks at a time took alot of getting used to. I am thankful to technology so no matter where you travel, you are never more than a call or click away. It also helped the girls when they came on YT to watch your videos. The 1st year taught us both alot of patience and I'm glad you continue to work as hard as you do to support us and conduct yourself in a way that we can be proud of! I love you!
@mcghee70 I am hoping to recruit drivers to the industry PERIOD! I'm not a recruiter but I will do what I can to help those trying to break in to this industry.
I'm glad you putting these videos out, because your information is greatly appreciated.
