best ending ever...i didnt want anything to ruin the movie for me so i didn't read a single review or preview for this movie. i just knew he was in it but didnt know when. i kept waiting and finally was just wtf where is he.....and then this. gave me chills, luv it when a scene does that to u, only happens the first time u see it and u cant get that feeling back no matter how awesome its or how many times u watch it

It's weird, everyone here says their audience went crazy when this was shown. Certainly not mine. Everyone just sat there quietly (including me) and when the credits came after, one guy was like "WHAT?" as in "that's it?"

Who cares if the second movie was just filler and kinda slow? Disney actually KNEW there was going to be a third one so they purposefully put a HUGE cliffhanger in there. ^^

i was soo happy when i saw him at the end of potc2 that i screamed "oh my god" in the theater!

i wish he had taken a piece of gold from the cortez's chest, but i think if he did he wouldn't never eat that apple because he couldn't taste it.

I was quite disapointed in this movie, it had nothing to do with the last. It has a very slow bulid up, then when it did get a story, it was quite confusing, then when you kinda got into the story, it ended with that stupid cliff hanger- HES DEAD LEAVE HIM THAT WAY thats how the last one ended, WHY THE HELL WOULD HE HELP BRING JACK BACK?! he hate him, he marooned him. The monkey taking the coin out of the chest at the end of the first one has nothing to do with Barbossa being alive! If it where to curse Barbossa that means it would curse all the others like Jack, Pintel and Ragetti too. Those 3 where not cursed in this movie. Plus! Barbossa was already dead when the new curse was imposed. The monkey taking the coin brings upon a whole new curse, the monkey and only the monkey are cursed. Tia was probably the one to lift Barbossa from the dead.

he wasnt lifted from the dead. if you saw the movie, they were talking about going to the ends of the earth to rescue jack, then the crazy jamaican chick said they would need someone who was familar with those waters. i think that it implies barbossa sailed back from the ends of the earth and such.

Tia needs to be by the body when bringing a being back from the dead, so they are going to the ends of the earth to find the Kraken and get Jack's body. Barbossa was brought back from the dea by Tia, because she had his body. The only reason Barbossa wants to help get Jack back is because he's trying to repent for his sins because he has seen hell.

this is the best ending. i already know this but i want to see who else knows how the monkey still changes in the moonlight even though all the blood debt was payed and the pirates became mortal again. reply if you've figured it out.

Even tho I haven't seen the movie yet, I've been trying to figure exactly what Barbossa says at the end. I already knew he was going to be in it. That was old news as far back as when the first movie came out. When I heard how some people couldn't hear what he said from all the clapping and cheering I decided I wanted to know before I went. I'll be seeing it this Friday at the El Capitan in Hollywood, I can't wait, it's going to be a lot of fun! Thanks for posting this. ;0)
