  • To prevent SIDS you can do many things. Research the products that are used for and around your baby. PVC in crib mattresses and most of all VACCINES. my baby brother dies from SIDS 5 days after his FULL VACCINATION. i will not preach i will only plant the seed for you all to do your own research and make your own conclusions. This is something i am OBVIOUSLY VERY PASSIONATE ABOUT. I will do everything I can to get the WORD OUT and CHANGE THE STATUS QUOT.

  • If a bed is so dangerous, why isn't this considered child endangerment. Are we protecting the caregivers instead of our precious babies. My grandson died on a pillow top bed in the prone position even though I made sure his babysitter knew the risks of SIDS. I made sure she had a pack-n-play for my grandson but I neglected to check to make sure she was using it. I made sure she knew my grandson should be taking his naps on his back. She neglected my warnings. I spread to word on safe sleep.

  • what is SUDS?? is it bangungot??

  • @iamdwyanecardiff It's SIDS. Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. It's where a healthy baby can die, and no one knows how. Doctors do autopsies, but the only thing they can find is that the baby is dead.

  • @DorgiChick420 I remember the death of Rico Yan, it was actually the cause of the death is acute pancreatitis.. is pancreatitis was the form for bangungot??

Marky Cielo's death is still unknown, what was d cause?

  • @iamdwyanecardiff Not to start a fight or anything, but, I don't understand what your saying. "Is pancreatitis was the form for bangungot?" Please reword it so I know what you are asking.

  • My Fiance and I are planning on starting a family pretty much as soon as we get married. and I think that when I do have a child. that this is one thing that is going to scare me .

  • @Rachiann No matter what they say, place your child on their side or stomach. If they bring something up, they could choke if they were on their back.

  • I think some cases may be vaccine related.

  • Since what age is it safe to place an infant in a bed... Sorry if i sound stupid, but im expecting my baby in 4 months... I see my cousin sleep with her baby all the time, along with one of her little girls. She turned one year old in April.

  • yareida555, sleeping with your child in the bed is not safe since you could unconsciously and accidentally smother your child.

  • And I asked since what age is it safe to place the kid in a bed

  • yareida555, it depends on the kid, but as a rule of thumb, 18 months for a toddler bed, but it also depends on the safety features of the toddler bed. Thanks

  • 2:44 omg i dont put my son in my bed ever! hes always slept in his crib

  • well I understand that back to sleep is the safest way, BUT especially smaller babies DO spit up! Would'nt they choke laying on their back?

  • No, it just falls out of their mouths and the're OK.

  • good vid

  • sexyjulie17, thank you!

  • Fingers crossed with these results they have found about a brain imbalance of a low level chemical we my be one step closer to the answer to of what causes this to happen.

  • I lost my son to sids and they do not know what causes it i hope oneday we get an answer. All they do khow is it happens so quick i only left my son for 5 mins when i returned he had passed away.

  • donnaMJeff18, I am very sorry to hear about your experiences. You and your son will be again together someday in the next life.

  • vaccena sdo not cause that ,, my god , no one know s thats like saying nose bleeds are caused by sun light ..the too do not match Atusim not a chanve that is a disibility . SIDS coud be cause by something in the head or asid reflux ever have that you could choke on that and it hurts , or heat and sweat.who knows all we know is it happens and to place baby on back to sleep since 1983 SIDS cases have went down 50% BECAUSE OF THE INFO WE HAVE GOT SINCE THEN .

  • Vaccines cause most cases of SIDS, as well as autism, and countless other medical problems.

  • Thankfully that is not true. I think there was a recent article about that in either Mother Jones or Utne Reader. I'd rather vaccinate than suffer from Polio or Measles.

  • You are wrong. So what if there was an article in Mother Jones or the Utne Reader? I'm writing a book referencing peer reviewed journal articles detailing how it happens. Polio declined prior to vaccination if you take the time to look. Measles is not deadly in properly nourished children (not vitamin A deficient). My vaccinated daughter is dead, and I know it was her vaccines. Countries that vaccinate later and less have a much lower infant mortality rate than the US, now 45th. Inexcusable.

  • If you were truly researching this issue then you would know that the doctor who found a link between autism and vaccines falsified his results.

  • yes. very similar to nocturnal death, males, ages 13-35yrs. im still accountable at age 25 now. why these mysterious deaths? theres the adult version of Sudden Unexpected Death Syndromes. (SIDS to NDS to SUDS) no escape! if its your time...

  • My son died in 1998 of SIDS.He died while sleeping in my arms.I've been told by numerous doctors that he did not strangle, suffacate or get exfixiated..The truth is ...Yes SIDS is real and NO!!!they don't know what causes it.I pray for anyone that has lost a child as I have, that they find peace in knowing that our chilren are waiting for us to join them in heaven...if only we follow Gods word...the Gospel..we can join them someday.

  • It's also safer to not sleep next to them, you might accidently roll over

  • My brother died and he was in a crib, now an adult bed, and he wasn't smothered or anything, so just what caused that?

  • There are several risk factors for SIDS:

Tummy sleep (raises the risk by a 30% +)

Plush objects in crib (pillows, etc., raise it by 10-15%)

The reason SIDS is not literal smothering is because smothering involves something pressing. In SIDS, it is possibly the hypothalamus not checking the CO2 level in the blood, and therefore not rousing the baby like healthy children should. No tests have been discovered, but study-related data supports that as most likely.

  • my son was born 3 weeks early in 2005, he started to sleep with me in adult bed around when he was 4 weeks old, ever since, he still sleeping with me, he's only 31 months old. he's healthy and happy. that doesnt make any sense

  • That is exactly how my son died. Some people just happen to be lucky.

  • how idiotic r u?

  • What about using bedsheets to cover the baby while he is sleeping, is there danger in this?

  • required19, that is a good question. All Timabare products conform to SIDS guidelines and are made from 100% chemical free cotton to help prevent baby from overheating. Please check out their web site at timabare [dot] [com]

  • Recent info - Prenatal risks: Inadequate prenatal care Inadequate prenatal nutrition Smoking Heroin use Teenage pregnancy Alcohol abuse Post-natal risks: Low birth weight (~3.3 lb) Exposure to tobacco smoke Failure to breastfeed Gender (61% of SIDS cases occur in males) Age (zero at birth, highest from two to four months, and declines to zero at one year) Premature birth (increase risk of SIDS death by 50 times)
  • yes. very similar to nocturnal death, males, ages 13-35yrs. im still accountable at age 25 now.
