JR Voyager is a gasser heli it costs a good 2000 for frame and engine. Electronics dependable on preference but if you spend 2000 buying the heli you are prepared to install top notch electronics my guess heli comes around 300-3500 :D +2-3k for the camera comes to my initial guess :D
Everybody talks about the camera in case of a fall. I am pretty sure his heli costs twice the camera. So crashing is not an option. I am pretty sure he has some electronics for failsafe etc onboard. He can't be flying it without any unless he really has money for burn :D
Great Video. Superb quality both. Very stable platform
@ThePtesta The DSLR and lens is probably about £2000-£3000, it's a very nice lens, but I don't know the heli. Regardless, as you said crashing not an option!
this guy must have money to burn lol... either that or he has the special 5d mk II that is impervious to water of any depth and can withstand being dropped from several hundred feet in the air... i hear canon makes them on special order lol.
Darn... you are a very brave man... you must have a lot of confidence in that helicopter of yours. The video is very nice though... I hope that one day I will find the courage to have such an expensive camera dangling over open water.
He has inflatable tubes on the feet of the plane, so it will float if it hits the water, plus the canons are very water resistant (not underwater but if you give it a soak it will be fine), plus this guy is a professional at flying! lots of respect
This is my new favorite Heli cam video. Awesome old style Hollywood movie music and the canon has an incredible lens. Excellent Flying! What part of Japan is that? Really gorgeous. Thanks
I wanna do this .... brrrr put put.. k..plash!! -$5000.00 biggest issue.. But I will keep practicing. I want to film Yachts racing around harbour markers and launch the chopper off cliffs to film the ocean crashing and save myself $600.00 hr flying a chopper.
@R00RAL mind the crosswind... i fly helis and yeh crosswinds... general law. the bigger the plane, the more winds it can take... a rc heli... unless its a still day... but you wont get much waves or yachts... but ive seen it been done and if you fly upwind with constant forward pitch that keeps it there... anything else you get blown away
Smooth video, what anti vibration are you using? Do you use a deshaker in the editing as well. I use my canon 40d for stills, lookign at the 7d, especially since seeign this video.
How can this get a vote against....that's ridiculous. Another brilliant video and I have already subscribed. Well done and nice music which makes the video experience so much better.
i can't decide on what i'm most impressed with...just coming up with this idea, being able to fly a remote control plane so well, or being brave enough to put a 5D over water like that. either way, amazing video!!
i know what i'll be practicing with my brother's RC plane now for the next few weeks :D

wow perfect shots but would you really spend $1,000-$2,000 for one camera? And also you have about 4 per rc plane/heli. That is a good $8,000 dollars wasted! before any of you reading this consider doing that...rethink that and use your money more wisely if your smart
@jeff9062 Same way it felt when I dropped my $4,000 camera down a cliff and helplessly watched it tumble and smash against rocks for 15 seconds. It was fine though, SUPER Tough. But that's why you get accidental insurance so you can do things like that and not have to worry about being out $4,000.
Awesome video though, what kind of heli is that, I'm strapping my $4,000 sony cam to that.

Dear All,
I have some questions about psyhcology:
(1) Why do we love to fly RC planes?
(2) why do we enjoy to pilot an RC plane with camera vision to see where we are flying?
(3) Why do we like to pilot an aeroplane at a holiday destination?
(4) Why do real commercial pilots prefer to fly to holiday destination?
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and brainstorm!!! :)
