No, it's his job to answer the phones. I doubt you understand how the innermost workings of a police call center operate, so I will spare you the nitty gritty. The officer is always on the line waiting for a call, that's why there is no rings when you call 911. Chances are it was a call that was either unusually long or she had called repeatedly. And what would be solved by him saying it when she could hear him?
One time I called 911 and after I saw a street fight start and at the very end they asked "So are you still married" and then they hung up.

I am of an 'ethnic extraction' other than caucausian and it can, at times, be pretty obvious when customer service people look down on me, but as long as they do their job and get me whatever service or goods I paid for... No, it's his job to answer the phones. I doubt you understand how the innermost workings of a police call center operate, so I will spare you the nitty gritty. The officer is always on the line waiting for a call, that's why there is no rings when you call 911. Chances are it was a call that was either unusually long or she had called repeatedly. And what would be solved by him saying it when she could hear him?
