767 it's very modern, big, economic (fuel) but still keeps some vintage stuff (old avionics).

I love this plane beyond any other.

nothing can replace the 767, not even the 787 really. It might be able to replace the flights the 767 fley, but the 767 has its identity, and can't be replaced, just like the 707 and 727 stories.

Whoever designed that aircraft should be really proud. A credit to boeing.

Oh yes, I remember seeing this when it was aired. AAL 1 made the company just about $100 for that flight! Just one less passenger, and the flight is in the negative. No wonder the airline industry as a whole is barely breaking even!

What do you want? The skies are clogged, commercial aviation is artificially cheap, it's a wonder any flights take off on time at all. All airfares, everywhere, should be tripled. That would reduce the numbers of the flying public, ease pressure on the industry, and the environment would benefit too from a reduction in massive amounts of fuel being burned each day and night.

The effect airlines have on the environment is massively over stated. Ban all aircraft from flying and the impact on global emissions would be minimal. It's industry and homes where the real problem lies.
