Is this sped up, or have you just trained your wrist to be that fast? Because my joints would be in agony if I tried to play that fast.

@joelsdaman1 Not sped up :p

and thanks, but as you can see, i do not have a lot of control at that speed. I actually used to play as fast as I could with my wrists but I realized that you can't really get fast if you are not using your fingers. When I made this video I was also practicing really fast single stroke roll using only fingers, so I did "trained" but more my fingers than my wrists :)

@pamnickris Thank you ! I've been playing for more than 10 years now so I'm very confortable when I play drums but I don't have a lot of technique. I could be a lot better... If you are a beginner, the best way to get good is to learn how to play a simple groove and to stay in time. Another important thing is to always play for the fun ! Enjoy playing drums and you will get better than me very quickly. And practice, practice a lot (I should practice more...).

@DivineSlayer1 Haha in fact it's not my kit. My current kit is pretty much the same (same brand too, crappy TKO) and i just got a hi hat, a 14" crash and a 17" crash (that i use as a ride also). I will invest in a wuhan china anytime i can. Anyways, I can play some Wintersun or Dethklok on it, it's just a pain in the ass to have only 2 crashes and no splashes -_-

@Poulmy heh, to be honest i doubt you could do dethklok. the challenging and good songs anyways like Laser Cannon Deth Sentence, Awaken, etc. though i cant say anything because i cant play dethklok yet

also i'd recommend getting any china over 12", i got a 12" wuhan and idk if its just the size or what, but it sounds trashier than most chinas i've heard

@DivineSlayer1 There's a 18" at my music store but i'm considering a 16"... btw, for Dethklok : CHALLENGE ACCEPTED ! I recorded a drum cover of "Hatredcopter" during the summer but it was messy so i never even edited it. I really like "Awaken" and it got some good double bass, I'll give it a shot ;)

@Hankou57 Honntement pour savoir faire de la batterie, faut en avoir envie, et c'est tout. Apprend tout seul, c'est vraiment un instrument qui ne doit pas nécéssairement s'enseigner :) En plus d'avoir le plaisir et la fierté de dire "j'ai appris tout seul", tu économisera de l'argent.
