  • Since when did the creatures from underworld fight with the the middleworldians

  • I've watch a few if this guys video and I really liked all of them... Why're there so many pricks bashing on these animations? D: it makes a sad panda sad

  • @THEmisspelledname124 Haters gotta hate. that's as much attention as I give it. When I watch a video I don't like on YouTube, I get away from it as fast as possible. I don't then spend more time to add nasty comments. So the people who do have too much time on their hands and have never endeavored to put themselves out there creatively or they wouldn't be leaving those comments. It's not like these things were done over a weekend on an iPhone. Everyone of these took a long time.

  • Screw marvel they do not own thor.

  • YEAAAAH that'll teach him...make him a mortal boy on earth....and in like 3 months of being there he will be addicted to porn and stop caring about helping everyone else..:|

  • Totally reminds me of Gargoyles

  • As a Swede, I find the americanized versions of Thor offensive. Really, go fuck up your own religions.

  • @fruhest I think the effort these guys put into the animation deserves praise, but i do agree with you when you talk about americanized versions of other countries Histories and mythos.

  • @fruhest Thor don't exist hurry

  • @demonjack123 Neither does Jesus, God, Allah, Brahman, Muhammed etc. That still doesn't mean that I make movies about Jesus being a green blob of snot that can only perform miracles when touched sexually by minors...

  • @fruhest Jesus and god are real =)

  • @demonjack123 yeah, and so is Superman.

    God, you christians are ignorant!

  • @fruhest Not at all.

  • Pretty sure that's an Americanized version of Thor.

As a northern Swede, I find this offensive.

  • thor god of thunder this is a cool and good idea for a movie ore a series i like it this is super good work thor the hamer odin the giants the monsters and the girl the thunder this is a super adventurer it good

  • He was HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

    man

  • @Sirenhound He didn't. People like to think that though because it makes the quote better.

  • this is literal ass.

  • F*ck Thor, I got SKYRIM!

  • @MrDodokop LOL... I made a nord named thor in Skyrim who wields a mace one one hand and a shock spell on another :)

  • For something that was made in 98, it looks pretty damn good!

  • id have watched the fuck outta this had i eaired on tv, i love the look thor gave after he transformed into an adult!, he was like " Homie don't play dat shit!" lol

  • yep would not have watch this growing up

  • ONCE A FU**ING AGAIN Americans rapes another great cartoon... Making women like they "should" look like for them today. Thin and like a damn barbie and so on... and men like a fu**ing he man arnold swartsnegger. watch Valhalla and fall inlove

  • @Inkki89 It wasn't really a raping...quite consensual. If anything, it raped me. I feel dirty now.

  • @Inkki89 finally someone saying that

  • @Inkki89 Americans rapes? Hard to take a guy serious when he can't type correctly.

  • @keccakec I can't type so what.

  • @Inkki89 I lold

  • The Japanese did something like this, only they used Loki, not Thor.

  • Jesus promised the end of all wicked people. Thor promised the end of ice giants.

I don't see many ice giants around.

  • @Benbobob I may not be well versed in the Bible, but I don't think Jesus promised anything like that.

  • Comment removed

  • So it basicly like SHAZAM!

  • DAT INTERLACE.

  • I love it, I love it, I love it!! If this came to air, i would definitely watch it.

  • The H in Thor is not meant to be pronounced D':

  • Great work! :D

  • Damnit, I wish this was a thing.

  • thor was stripped!?

  • I would have watched this. Just please lose the chain-hammer! Regular hammer is best, btw how do you feel about a red cloak instead?

  • @BewareTheBear050193 In hindsight, We would probably make him a bearded redhead with a red cloak but when you're making the thing you have to bow to the whims of the people putting up the cash and the color scheme for his cloak was one of the things we had to give on.

  • @BewareTheBear050193

Or lets give him a plain old leather fur cloak in brown or beighish cus thats what the true idols depict of this amazing peace of diety

  • I was probably in the age demographic back in 97', and I would have watched this. I was mad obsessed with Norse mythology back then.

  • The kid in me like the fact that its a cartoon but the adult in me likes the kid in me =D

  • hes going to attacked by many pedo bears

  • lol, he said "ass guard".

  • i didnt mind that thor was forced to become a child what i found disgusting was the hammer it was a freaking mace to me it is like a kick to the groin

  • I don't think you were stealing from Marvel, but I bet Marvel would have tried to sue you anyway.

  • I think it suffers from being ahead of the curve and fearful producers. Thor, being a hero of Nordic mythology, isn't the property of Marvel even though his modern day popularity is linked to the comics and now, feature film. Had it been say 2005, Marvel Studios would have gotten behind the idea, or had a better chance to market it that way. I am a fan the myth as well, and concede the alterations to the appeal to the target market. I'm sure the Belt, the Gauntlets, and the rest would come.

  • This is right up there with the Thing Ring!

  • I would soooooo watch that if that was on tv XD

  • Why a boy?

  • @WhiteKnitter In one of the Nordic myths, Thor is stripped of his immortality and sent to Asgard to learn a lesson. We thought the best way to show this would be to have him reduced to a 12 year old boy. It also makes the relate ability as a boys action show go way up.....Or at least that's what we thought at the time. Since it was never picked up, maybe we were wrong.

  • @SethKearsley Okay, that makes sense.

To your credit, or maybe not, I think the reason this probably didn't get picked up was because the action was pretty lackluster ESPECIALLY for a cartoon conceived around 1997 and the scenery and backgrounds looked completely uninspired. At least that's the way it seemed in this clip.

No offense though. I like some of your more recent stuff like the Adam and Eve thing.

  • @SethKearsley You mean Midgard, also I don't remember reading in where Thor is stripped of is immortality. There a story in where Thor loses to a Giant.

  • @slicingwater yeah....Midgard....at least I didn't say earth....there is a legend of Thor being stripped of his power. I'm the Director. The writer did all the research. I just made the thing happen. Great to see it's ripe with controversy for the fans of the Mythology.

  • @SethKearsley Then by reading the myths you would have realized that thor wasn't a blond looking douchebag who shaves.

  • I find a lot of faults in this video. First, with every strike of mjolnir lightning strikes down, Second, where the **** is his chariot drawn by rams? and his golden belt of godly strength? both of them are signatures of Thor. I am a swedish patriot (not a rasist, people can't seem to see the diference these days) and i am proud of my heritage wich means that i have spent ALOT of my freetime studying the believe in the Aesirs. That's my oppinions on this video. Goodbye

  • gay

  • what kind of hammer is that??

    that's not cool

  • What the hell did they do to his hammer?! 0o

  • Nicely done. But you should do something about the interlacing in the video.

  • @Stroboskop yeah....I've thought about it...I didn't notice it until it was uploaded and then it had a bunch of views already....I don't think you can swap out videos without losing the views. So....I agree....but in the 40,814 views there's only a half a dozen people who have mentioned the interlacing and I would rather work on a new video than fix this one from 12 years ago. You know?

  • i like how when hes human hes all scrawny! lol

  • i guess i am here to speak for everyone, use or make your own sound effects. these sound clips have been used too often. those infamous scream and lion roar have been used half a million times. inspire yourself. be creative.

  • @timlucifari666 I don't disagree...but when you're getting sound work done for free there's only so far you can push people.

  • @SethKearsley Your skills are quite remarkable, though I don't actually support this image of Thor. I doubt he is an actionhero. Imo, Marvel's Thor has nothing to do with the norse deity, except for some names.

Thus said, your art looks great^^

  • this is really good. I would definitely watch this show. Thor belongs 2 everyone not just MARVEL

  • It's Fabio!!!

  • @KingCharltonHeston Yup. He financed it and that's how we were able to get guys like Mike Mignola, Glenn Murikami and Dave Johnson to work on it. Funny thing about your name, at one point we had Charlton Heston signed on to do the voice of Odin. Got to go to his house and see his collection of guns and wall of original art from every costume designer on every movie he was in. So...yeah...any cheese that Fabio might have brought was outweighed by what his backing enabled us to do.

  • i was thinking the same, when he appears i was thinking shazan i am the god of thunder hahahhaha.

  • Unique idea making him turn into a kid as a mortal and then the lighting comes down and he goes into his God form. It's all like, "SHAZAM" and suddenly, he's Thor. Brilliant!

  • 1:00 power of steroids!

  • Mindless ignorant fans who fall slaves to their myth and really treat these fictional characters as god(s) are pure idiots.

  • @TheKivanchly Says who? The one who believes in another god? I believe what I believe, you believe what you believe. Do I call you an idiot for believing in something else? It may be news to you, but there is something out there known as "tolerance".

Think about how many wars have started because of people like you, claiming other people are wrong, their gods don't exist, we will kill them in the name of our almighty god!

If you ask me, this is just stupid. Let each other alone.

  • @TheBipolarGemini He was a skandinavian God of Thunder not only Norweigian

  • im sorry to all thor fans but this looks realy retarded

  • @TheBipolarGemini Also no one actually thinks that Jesus had blonde hair and blue eyes.

  • This Thor's powers work like DC's Captain Marvel (Shazam).

  • @MVGkaiser There's actually a story in the Nordic Mythology where Thor gets too arrogant and thinks he can take on Odin so Odin strips him of his power and sends him to live on Midgard for a while to humble him up. Since we were making a show for 10-12 year olds, seems like a no brainer to make him the age of the target demo. We were aware of Shazam but didn't feel like, aside from that one thing, the stories really had much else in common.

  • @SethKearsley

True, just wanted to point that out. By the way I like your design of Mjolnir.

  • @TheBipolarGemini What is the next thing? You see some similarities between lord of the rings and the BIBLE?

  • @Ko252 hahaa you can say again :)

  • @Ko252 That would be an educational catastrophe I would like to experience.

  • @csyicker Hehe-

  • @TheBipolarGemini No, nothing is up at all. You can draw some similarities from almost any two humans. You are thinking too much about those two... or is it not enough.. either war = fail.

  • @TheBipolarGemini Except the original Thor had red hair.

  • @SethKearsley and was never exiled.

  • Wait.....you could afford Mignola and your pitch has generic SFX track screams? I think it woulda been funnier if you made Thor look older and more mature.....long beard, crow's feet. ...that way the little kid thing'd be much funnier.

  • @PainMonkey We didn't pay for Mignola. It was done as a favor. We also had Dave Johnson(Character designer from Ben 10) design the logo and Glen Murakami (Teen Titans) do character design. Everyone worked for free, including the sound designer. There's only so much you can ask of people who are working for free. The only people who were paid were the Korean animators. Still....for '98 to have digital Ink & Paint and Camera was pretty good. It is what it is now.

  • Wow that was pretty awsome :D a thumbs up from me.

  • the thins Thor is fighting look kind of like the Huns in Mulan, at least in facial features.

  • @hpotterfrk The creatures were all designed by Mike Mignola, who also did design work for Disney's Atlantis and I believe did some design work for some of their other features around the same time.

  • @SethKearsley

I've gotta ask you something. If Thor wasn't such a well known comic character in Marvel Comics, would you have attempted to make a cartoon based on Thor? I mean, by making a cartoon based on Thor, you know a lot of people are going to watch it just because they know of Thor through Marvel Comics and of course, there isn't a thing Marvel can do about it because Thor's up for grabs. I mean, even DC Comics could do Thor if they wanted too. Now, that would be interesting ;-)

  • @krone900 I had just finished a show based on Egyptian mythology so I was really into exploring different Mythologies at the time. This was also done when the Hercules live action show was on an the Hercules animated feature was also out. The Nordic Mythology is pretty interesting and the writer had a good take and there were partners in place who were going to finance this piece. Would I have chosen Thor otherwise? Probably not. I don't regret having done it though.

  • I hope this comes to fruition. It looks really good.

  • im shocked you didnt see Thor shoutin SHAZAM!!!

  • @tereuo There is actually a story in the nordic Mythology where Odin strips Thor of his Immortality and sends him to Midgard because of his arrogance since we were making a show for kids, it's a natural next step to have him not only lose his God like immortality but also his God like physique. We were all well aware of Shazam when doing this but were comfortable with it given the fact that the Nordic legend we based the premise on predates anything from DC by a couple centuries.

  • @SethKearsley either way. you think you would of gone teenager or maybe a handicap kid like in the comics when he is a handicap doctor

  • Wow, indeed impressive work here mate, would actually be awesome if that came to life! or just something by your "team" if you want to call it that!

  • @Berghie I'm actually working on something with the same writer right now. It's a development project so I don't know when it might be able to be shown but someday.

  • That lady was gonna get manther-raped!

  • TEH EPICZ

  • I love seeing behind the scenes stuff. Are you still interested in making this series? I miss epic mythology-based shows like Hercules and Xena, used to give me so much joy as a kid XD. Speaking of which, you think you can share some behind the scenes stuff for Mummies? It's a childhood fav and I'd love to see any you have to share.

  • @ZephyrinSkies When we did this, all of those shows were still huge. We might still do some epic mythology based something but it will be different than this. Mummies was my first job as a Producer/Director. I was 23 when it started. Talk about a huge leap of faith on their part that I could actually pull it off. The story editors were the same as the X-Men animated series that was on back then. We all tried to make it something a little extra. It's nice to know people still like it.

  • @SethKearsley Thanks for replying. That'd be awesome if you did get to do it. That is pretty young, not much older than me and I'm not out of college yet. There are people who remember it, especially people like me who like to rewatch nostalgic shows.

  • @SethKearsley For what it's worth, there's even a small group of active fans online. Was just watching it and was pleasantly surprised that I could still enjoy it. Some parts are still kiddy, but the main characters (& I really love the designs for their armor) are really fun and I love the humor. There were even moments in the writing that I thought really shone too. Was wishing you got to do more with the series when I reached the end of it.

  • WOW for a momment I thought I've seen it before but it was Space Ace. Some scenes look so much like it.Was this not green lighted exclusively because of Marvel?

Also dude that kid so looks like Presley from Mummies Alive.

I was born in late 80s so I felt the need of the 80s animations quality like Thundercats and Dinosaucers in mid/late 90s but they all looked square, Mummies alive had a great detailed animation.

It's good to see you guys carried it on a little bit of it into the new genration.

  • @BurnRoddy I did this literally right after finishing Mummies Alive so I'm not surprised there's similarity in the character design.

  • WTF HAVE USA WITH VIKINGS TO DO!!!

  • Hey bro im thinking if you change the Hair color red and his name to DONAR call it DONAR THE MIGHTY! You could make it happen, dont let all your great character concepts go to waste, man Ive Drawn so many bad ass characters but im too poor to pitch them what do I do? Or who can I pitch them to?

  • @Alairic Maybe..... but the partnership that put this together is no more so pursuing something too close to this wouldn't be wise. With your own characters, I would just look for ways to get your stuff out there. YouTube and Deviantart are both great for that. Start small. Sell stickers with you characters and then t-Shirts and then grow from there. Don't waste time pitching. It's frustrating and annoying and you don't need permission to do your thing.

  • Ugh, interlacing. Also, some of the sounds sound familiar to me, maybe from a game that bought the same canned sounds?

  • marvel going to sue some one

  • @halfdragonhal Marvel only owns the rights to their own interpretation of the Nordic mythology but they mythology is public domain. They only way they could sue is if we were to use some of their imagery.

  • @SethKearsley i know that but look at the tow and the tow storys tell me that thay really dont have a case .

  • @SethKearsley Well, Marvel thor is blonde. Nordic Thor is a red head and has an epic beard.

  • That was great, wish I could have seen this. It would have come put right when I hit grade school ;( I heard mentions of Thor for so long I decided to find the real stuff and learned all of Norse Mythology, now I read the comic. This could have given me about a decade head start. ;(

  • Looks a lot like HE - MAN

  • just brought a thor vs hulk so yes you might have a problem but this is very good work thor is a part of myth marvel cannot own that, dc comics has a hercules that shows up to get stomped by wonder woman you might have to make a few changes but I sure would like to see more.

  • Awesome. Electrical manipulation always equal a win.

  • Wish I could have seen this during the 90's im a huge Thor fan and would of loved a Sat morning cartoon of him

  • Shouldn't he be banished to Midgard? Earth is non-existant to Nordic tongues.

  • 100% correct....BUT....it's hard enough to get an executive to wrap their head around the fact that Thor wasn't created by Marvel. Harder still to educate them about nordic mythology while trying to sell them a show.

  • Earth (The word we use today) and Midgård is the same place, just different words.

  • @ThatguyDusty Strategic decision to say Earth instead of Midgard to pre-empt having to educate executives on nordic mythology....but you're right.

  • @ThatguyDusty That is true. The three realms of northern mythologi is Asgard, home of the aesirs, Midgard, home of men, and Outgard, home of the giants. These three realms are positioned on different places on the world tree Yggdrasil

  • Happy kwanza!!!

  • This is so awesome. I want more. And who is the narrator?

  • You know, it's been so long I don't remember. That's horrible of me but he was a friend of a friend that had a great voice.

  • Looks like it would have been fun.

This may be me being an out of touch old fuck, but it seems that since the early 90's animated action shows aimed primarily at boys have dried up. Where are the He-Man/Thundercats/Real Ghostbusters equivalents for todays youth??

This looks like it could have filled that role nicely, shame.

  • all about to make a come back. There's about to be Transformers, GI Joe and ThunderCats all getting a second life.

  • This really looks good.

  • Thanks!

  • It's a shame that it wasn't picked up it looked pretty good!

If you were after Nordic themes, shame you didn't slightly change it into Beowulf (long before the movie)

  • he had a stone hammer in this movie normal is a metal hammer

  • Wicked Nice. Quick, Cartoon Network, replace Stoked with this.

Also replaceable: 6teen, total drama action, marvel hero squad

  • hercules much

  • cool :)

  • looks cool strange quality

  • jajajaj OMG XD

  • Shame it never got made into a series, I think it would have been quite enjoyable.

  • Looks good. It's too bad copyright issues stopped the project.

  • I can see why some got scared by the similarity to the Marvel version. (gets exiled to earth for pride).

Love the chain hammer, AND the switching back to teen mode while trying to get the girl.

  • lol nice love your work keep it up

  • lol thor is a badass

  • Poor Thor... cant even get the hero's kiss! lol

  • interesting concept.

  • lol, that was awesome!

  • Quality work. I'm thinking it might've worked better if you went with Thor as a redhead like he is in the myth.

It's how Rob Liefeld got around it.

  • Its far from faithful to Norse mythology as it is :P

  • Wow this looks great but... the interlacing, it burns!

  • I want to see more adam and eve!!!

  • hahahaha.....I'm trying! I'm trying! Thought I would put some more stuff up that I've done that no one has seen in the mean time.

  • Looked like a classic 90's cartoon. man sucks ass to have to pay more on cable to see those great oldies cause the crap thats out now a days is trash and the good ones are hard to find

  • So awsome I'd give anything to be on ur animation team

  • That was funny and entertainng !

  • sweet

  • This is so epic. I would love to see this into a show now.

  • really freakin awesome show, i would have rocked out to this show...to bad it never happened i guess...

  • could have been better if remade today

  • Thanks! Would have been awesome. Yikes! I didn't realize it was going to be all interlaced like that. I might have to re-upload. So distracting.

  • this would have been kick ass

  • looks awesome! Would've been a great show.
