@OCIS711 I don't think it is.Might be wrong though. All i know is that Its the theme song for his movie (best movie ever) UHF. The video itself is a parody of the band bowling for soup. Specifically the song 1985.

@TheCybergirl3344 You're right. It's not a parody, but an original.  However the video is not a parody of any one group or video. There are several different people he's parodying. To your point about Bowling for Soup, considering this song came out about 15 years before 1985, it isn't possibly for Weird Al to parody them. On the contrary, they were doing a parody of Robert Palmer's "Addicted to Love" which Al also parodies in this video.
