  • I maintain that this is one of the best music videos of all time.

  • @blackjack0202 one of the best movies also.

  • 7 peple must really hate the 80s

  • 7 people must be avid Channel 8 and R.J. Fletcher supporters.

  • What is the video Al's parodying at 1:42? It looks pretty cool. Other than that I recognize everything in the vid

  • @MearickLee Talking Heads "Once in a Lifetime".

  • @notorious98 Ooh thanks, I'll look it up :D

  • we got it all on you aint jeff

  • LOL at 0:22

  • loved this movie!

  • what is this a parody of???

  • @OCIS711 I don't think it is.Might be wrong though. All i know is that Its the theme song for his movie (best movie ever) UHF. The video itself is a parody of the band bowling for soup. Specifically the song 1985.

  • @TheCybergirl3344 You're right. It's not a parody, but an original. However the video is not a parody of any one group or video. There are several different people he's parodying. To your point about Bowling for Soup, considering this song came out about 15 years before 1985, it isn't possibly for Weird Al to parody them. On the contrary, they were doing a parody of Robert Palmer's "Addicted to Love" which Al also parodies in this video.

  • wtf does UHF mean?

  • @KingLevaan Ultra High Frequency

  • you mind= blown 3:54

  • Love this Movie!! SO .... What do you win for liking this...... absolutely NOTHING!!!

  • i love that movie wait bolder be back

  • Lots of this video copies "1985" by Bowling for Soup.

Ah, leave him alone. It's what he does for life.

  • @123guitarest It's more like they both got the same idea. By the way, this clip was made before Bowling for Soup were even together.

  • @123guitarest actually no, I think those were just famous bands back then and they just both had the idea of dressing like them, besides Al did this first :P either way, I love both of the videos :O

  • I think Al should do a sketch comedy show. (Kind of like "MTV's The State.")

  • @pyrogyra72 He DID have his own tv show for a while.

  • @boobakira I know all about "The Weird Al show." But that was a saturday morning Kids show. I'm talking about a sketch comedy show. do you remember MTV's the State? Remember the kind of sketches they did on that show. (The guy who wanted to put his "balls" into everything, the Sea Monkey Sketch, etc.) If Weird Al did a sketch comedy show like that, I bet it would be a huge hit.

  • I wonder if that is actually slash in the beginning of the video.

  • the fire hose!!!

  • Where's Stanley Spadowski's Clubhouse? I wanna drink from the firehose :(

  • @Nicole48879 It's in the south on a KKK compound.

  • Weird Al in that leather jacket...

  • i turned it to channel 62 and nothing

  • @auburndetroittiger WE DO NEED THEM. Did you guys now that Jay Levey (Al's Manager) Plays Gandhi?

  • @TheNanny9399 Holy cow! LOL

  • The reality is, if that network existed today with those shows it would be the #1 network hands down. TV stinks now a days. We need Ghandi II and Conan the Librarian!!!

  • @AuburnDetroitTiger YOU STUPID, YOU SO STUPID!

  • @AuburnDetroitTiger Don't forget Bowling for Burgers, and Raul's Wild Kingdom. (although I think the ASPCA might take issue with that show. Especially when Raul tries to teach poodles how to fly.)

  • I see the Big Suit at 3:32!

  • 3:54 = Mind BLOOWWN!

    [] [] O

  • "the fire ball" *YEIH!* "Open your MOUUUUUUTH!!!" TSSSSSSS DAMN!

  • 1:59 Go Gandhi promote some peace by kicking their butts

  • LOL Weird Al needs to make UHF2, the first one is hilarious, i dont care if it got bad reviews or not, who ever reviewed is filed with rat farts, that was great comedy there!!!

  • @draventatsel except it would be called TIVO

  • @draventatsel= Yeah, it would be like giving the finger to Roger Ebert and all those critics who give bad reviews to cool movies and give good reviews to shit like Eat Pray Love.

  • @draventatsel It got bad reviews? I just thought it didn't do well in theatres because it was released in the summer of 1989 and thus had to compete with Ghostbusters II and Batman.

  • @DarkTitan2007

Had it released during one of the slumps of theatre, it would've done well.

  • @draventatsel Anytime a movie gets a bad review, those are the movies I go watch. 95% of the time, the reviews were dead wrong.

  • @Alpha0727 U r so right! The movies the critics give bad reviews r the best movies & the 1's they give good reviews put u 2 sleep. That's because they r nothing but a handful of old farts that doesn't know a good movie if it slap them in the face, especially great humor. Be ur own judge, if ppl listen 2 them all the time, they'll really miss out on some great Masterpieces.

  • @misumike25 I pick my movies by if they interest me or not. That has never failed me. When a movie gets a bad rating, I make sure I go see that movie for myself. Other than that, I do not listen to the critics.
