idea is great -- but NOT UNDERSTOOD -- bottles are to b filled with cold water ? or they r put in deep freeze with water b4 putting here? - how long will this go?? som one pl explain--
nice choice of tools ! makita, millwuakee and lennox hole saw too bad you didnt have a big hole saw for the lid i have a 6 inch hole saw that i use for installing recessed lights or even a tin snip for the lid...my ass was puckering when i watched cut with the box cutter
@askaxis haha yep yep wish i had a lennox hole saw.. i need one id love to have recessed lights in my Kitchen and it would have made cutting that hole allot easier.
@Anglichanen no just the plastic bottle on its own. lord sorry but this guy made a good video and its clear then u ask a retarded question like that :/
It would of been better to drill them on the side and run a 8in tube from the fan down just slightly lower than the tubes, because as one person pointed out the air coming out from the vents will get sucked back in to the intake of the fan.. Also have you ever played with reversing the fan?
We don't have a firehouse sub around here but I guess we can find a bucket. Our camper van a/c doesn't work - over $1,500 at least to fix, $3,000 to replace Our pups get pretty hot in the back when we are on a trip. Thank you for the DYI video. Hope hubby witll make one for me too.
Stop being cheap and just get the damn AC for car fixed. I tried to be a cheap shithead and got one of those things that you place on top of cooler and basically it was shit, so I fixed car AC and now its ice cold in car.
@agenthelios1 this is for people who have old cars.. its better for fix the ac in a car if the resale values is above the price of fixing the ac. putting 1500 dollars in to a car that's only worth 1000 dollars is ... well you know.
Have you measured the temperature inside a vehicle( pt cruiser for instance) if is 80f outside at night time , what kind of cooling temps would be inside a vehicle with windows closed? I am leaving out my car , and I like your idea, thanks
I found one of those auto fans at a thrift store but the cigarette adapter had been cut off. What kind of cigarette adapter (volts & amps and what kind of fuse?) do I use because I can find old ones anywhere. ( I know I should've just bought a new one...but I didn't...)
@carsonclick9002 no problems :) My girl said it works best if you set at-least one of the bottles out and let it begin to thaw before using them in the car.. also if you add a small amount of water to the bottom of the bucket it will cool faster.

@nx2overide You could also add salt to the water to make it colder.
