Ok I figured out that Purina logo in the bottom right corner lol. Apparently Purina was an animal food company that merged with a cereal company in 1902 and lasted all the way up until 1986 when the Purina brand was sold , the year this commercial was made. The letters stand for Ralston Purina Company. And it makes sense why all these cereals tasted like dogfood.

Boy do I remember this well!. Its really funny the way the "for limited time only" movie cereals were direct knockoffs of other long available brands. all that they ever were was ---capn crunch, trix, lucky charms or cocoa puffs.

The `90s still had the "magic" appeal to consumers...something happened in these yrs. And I'm not trying to be just another nostalgiatic (I'm starting to hate that also) but Ive noticed for many yrs, things dont feel the same...on any level/cept constant film remakes.

This and the Mario/Zelda cereal tasted the same to me. IIRC it was kinda like Cap'n Crunch. Man that was a while ago. Back when they still had good prizes in the boxes. Wacky Wall Walkers, Superballs, a bubble blowing whistle thingus that was made of like 15 parts you put together. All of which were a choking hazard for stupid kids.

Now, that I've seen the commercials Ghostbusters which, I had 26 years ago tasted delicious the red extermination cereal grain and the white marshmellows were all good. I also, liked the Mr. T cereal, Mario cereal, Zelda, Batman which, had the honey flavored bats you guys. Batman's cereal was based on, Tim Burton's 1989 blockbuster film starring, Jack Nicholson and Michael Keaton. TMNT cereal was either based on, the 80's cartoon series or the 1990 blockbuster feature film before its sequels.

I also, remember Mr. T cereal which, was based on his television show appearance on A-Team and it was also, shown in Tim Burton's PeeWee's Big Adventure starring, actor Paul Reubens. The Legend Of Zelda cereal, Super Mario Brother, Pac-man, Gremlins did they make a cereal on Steven Spielburg's 84 film. Batman definitely, had a cereal and TMNT.
