  • Also, I wish every TV presenter was as intelligent, down to earth and enthusiastic as Prof Cox. When the BBC do documentaries, my oh my, do they do a documentary. :)

  • You know what disappoints me about the fact that I'll be dead in the next 80 years. It's not that I won't get to have incredible 'future' technology or all that kind of thing, but that I won't be alive for when they unravel the mysteries of the universe. I'll never understand why it exists, how big it is, what's going on in it. The whole thing just now is way out of my comprehension, it's utterly mythical.

  • Faith : believe without evidence

    Period

  • This man blows my mind...literally, i just sit and stare at the TV for hours... Absolutely amazing, he needs an award, his enthusiasm is just brilliant.

  • @reeferboy2003 I agree, 100%.

  • I caught up with part of this when I saw it on BCC Entertainment last night in India, Absolutely easy on the ear English for us South Asians, besides the subtitles, & very int'g, things explained very simply to the laymen!

  • *_*

  • For God's sake stop talking about God! Just let us enjoy the wonders of the universe.

  • oasis - up in the sky <3

  • to be honest I feel that science is 100 percent right but... it's something I feel that doesn't let me let go of the idea of god. I don't fear death because let's face it to fear something u need to be able to remember it and death is death soo idk I feel there is something that created what we see much more than science itself

  • the bible outdates the quran anyway but they are just old books that were written a long time ago by men just like us not a god like person. there are apparently thousands of gods and you choose to believe in just one of them.

religion is nonsence a myth and as real as santa claus (sorry kids)

  • this proves there is no god, we have the technology that proves it now, or let me ask this if your religious you dont believe in the big bang and god created it.

if god created the world who created god?

the universe is billions of years old not 10,000 science has proved it FACT

  • awsome

  • Where can i download or watch this in an HD ? format but don't have a big file size.

I really want to watch this.

    :) Thanks!

  • Love the series, and love this trailer. IT HAS OASIS SOUNDTRACK!!!!!!!

  • WoW

  • WoW !!!

  • Meu Deus, ele é muito gato!!!

  • physics ? i love nature and searching and watching documentaries about the universe and earth but i HATE physics ... is that really physics ? O.o

  • i wanna watch this series SO BAD ! but too bad i don't have BBC 2 :(

  • Comment removed

  • and thats why i love physics... *melt* :3 ♥♥♥ l♥ve brian cox xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • This compilation of videos "UFO Disclosure A Global Deception Conspiracy"

ON YOUTUBE is a revelation of major lies and with held knowledge about life

beyond Earth. The footage contains statements from astronauts, American

presidents, military personnel, politicians plus credible news footage regarding

awareness of life beyond Earth along with it's current and ongoing presence which

is being hidden from the public + more.

  • First, things are created, thus there is a creator. Random chance, billions of years will never create life. It is known now, computer models can simulate billions of years in a few hours of work.

The LAWS of physics dictate that all matter goes from order to disorder, and from high energy to lower energy. Read thermodynamics if you doubt this.

The DNA molecule is highly structured and of high energy. A designer is required.

This could never happen by chance, no matter how many billions of years.

  • Man I can't wait until wonders of the universe. I wish the BBC would cut their bullshit and just show this and top gear at the same time as in Britain, I mean we speak the same language, so what's the hold up?

  • Man ever since i started watching this I fell in love with the universe and earth.

Thank you BBC and Dr Brian

  • im 13 and im in love with brian cox <3 :D

  • good game religion, you had a good run of it now sit down and be quiet

  • Then you have religion with zero evidence at least this in the video is proven.

  • Our Star (sun) is 100 times the size of the Earth.

  • 11 pessoas são cristãos .................

  • These were wonderful series, thanks BBC! Amoung many wonders of Solar System and The Universe is brilliant and charming Professor Brian Cox, artistic and rational at the same time! I like that modern professors can be so young and handsome and have a musical/acting talent. Wow. Brings Leonardo into my mind. Perfect.

  • i feel sorry for your ignorance because you think all this perfect balance was made by accident.its not a matter of a religion but a belief that there is someone who created all of this.i am not religious nut or anything but it would be completely idiotic to think otherwise before truly looking up the facts that every single darwinistic theory is full of holes like swiss cheese.if you wanna ask me something i suggest you send me mail because i im not gonna argue on chat.gonna get some beer now

  • I love this series so much......am I the only one who likes to count how many times he says millions and billions in each episode? Makes me feel quite relaxed and sleepy........millions and billions and trillions and millions.........

  • what song is this? stereophonics?

  • @EmiLy27752

    Oasis- Up In The Sky

  • @mikeymanker oh for shame!! i have it on cd oops

  • I advice people to look up what Einstein said about religion and God, he says the belief in a personal God that cares about what people do and good and evil is pure fantasy bullshit. But that there could actually be a God because of the way our known universe is structured and that Buddhism actually comes closest to this belief. So in my opinion there might be a creator (non biblical ofc) or there might not be (Atheism) they are neither wrong nor right and will never have absolute proof.

  • god dont make sence, this guy in the video makes alot of sence

  • @tap3d3ck you need help, see a pyschiatrist or something. There is no Santa, Easter Bunny ,Tooth Fairy or God. Good luck with your Christofacist De-programming, I wish you luck.

  • @tap3d3ck i wish u alot of luck too

  • I hate youtube comments...

  • bunch of species who disliked this video are not from our solar system..Alien immigrants!!!

  • i watch videos like this for the entertainment, then i read the comments for the stupidity, you all are so confused............

  • Why are you even arguing? I believe in free will, and if some people choose to live a life in ignorance, they may well do so. Everyone wants to make sense of his live, himself and his surroundings, for the narrow mind religions can not only provide an answer they also give life a meaning. But just stop wasting your fucks you have to give.

  • If Carl Sagan had big shoes to fill... I think Prof. Brian Cox's feet fit perfectly.....

  • This documentaries are a huge effort to bring a science that is understandable to hundred millions of people, ITS SO SAD THAT YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR IT,bbc blocks the uploads in youtube of this documentaries, thats wrong, you cannot block this kind of Science, this is knowledge that you have to spread, no matter what, the benefits of this amazing series could be seen not only trought the glass of money. Just think about it

  • @casasbojorges I could not agree with you more. I uploaded videos from wonders (which I bought on Dvd), for exactly that purpose, but BBC blocked some of them. Fortunately they only blocked the videos that matched ones that they had already uploaded, so I still have a lot up.

  • @WeAreStarStuff51 Actually, you may be interested to know; it's not the BBC that blocked your videos, but a complex copyright algorithm built into youtube. If you reverse the picture (IE create a mirror image so when cox is looking left, on your video he would look right) youtube would not notice and your video would upload.

  • @casasbojorges And that's why people in the UK pay something called a license fee.

  • most beautiful tv-program ever

  • I'm not against religion. I can't proof god doesn't exist. However... I can't proof he exists either. Science at least keeps a critical open mind and corrects it's self when necessary. In science you're aloud to ask questions! We've come a long way. We used to think the earth was flat. When we knew it was a sphere, the earth was the centre of the universe. Nowadays we start to unravel the universe. At least that's what we think we're doing. There's much to discover yet. Isn't that awesome?

  • @01484777 God who? Is he/she a famous singer or something?

  • @01484777 erm... how exactly does this in any way 'prove that there is a creator'? Because the last time I checked, we have a comprehensive understanding of how everything shown in this video formed through natural processes, no magic or supernatural man in the sky wishing it into existence from nothing required.

Care to back up your statement with solid reasoning or is what you said just a baseless asertion?

  • @Cygnus274 God exists.. It's up to you to believe or not.

  • @othman626 Prove it...

  • @Cygnus274 Quran, if you don't believe in Quran, then it's up to you as well..

  • @othman626 But the Quran is just a book. Do you believe that Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings is real because it's in a book?

  • @ThatAdelaideGuy Sorry, no point to argue with someone who believes that Quran/Bible/Torah etc.. are just a normal books like Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings..

  • @othman626 What makes them any different than normal books?

  • @ThatAdelaideGuy Difference? Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter has been writin' by a normal human being, Quran is the book of God, it's God talk..

Anything else you wish to ask?

  • @othman626 How do you know that, because it's written in the book itself? If there was a sentence in Harry Potter that refereed to a god writing it would you believe it was true?

  • @ThatAdelaideGuy Cause the Holy Quran proved things since before 1432 years that modern science has lately discovered, as I told you.. since you know nothing about Quran neither you believe in God, your arguing would be pointless.. In the holy Quran God doesn't declare himself and says "Hey, I'm here! I do exist!." I told you.. the Quran contain things about creation/space/life and everything you could possibly imagine that has lately been discovered, and the Quran came since before 1432 years.

  • @othman626 The "Holy Quran" Also "Proves" That Salt Water and Fresh Water won't mix

  • @ThatAdelaideGuy It proves that the sea and the upcoming river do not mix with each others, it's one of God's miracles.. but you can mix water with salt in a glass, you should read and explain the Holy Quran well to understand it's meanings.. and obviously you lack this.

  • @othman626 every other book in the world has a flaw/mistake not the Holy Quran.

  • @lllUSlll Yup, cause every "other" book in this world authored by humans, but not the Holy Quran, it's the book of Allah, which has no flaws nor mistakes.

  • Comment removed

  • @othman626totally agree mate religious idiots are usually ignorant in there views

  • @othman626 God doesn't exist... it's up to you to believe or not.... This is an argument as solid as yours

  • @joacodef1 My argument goes solidly, though my proof is Quran, and you have absolutely nothing..

  • @othman626 I don't know, i can take any book that says that there is no God, and say that I have a proof.... Quran means nothing for me... What I'm trying to defend, is that you can't say that the existence of a God is a FACT... you can only say that you BELIEVE that there is a God, and BELIEVE that Quran says only truths... however strong your faith may be, you are just blinding yourself by saying those are facts...accept that you aren't owner of the truth...

  • @joacodef1 If the Quran means nothing to you, then It does mean and matters to a 1.5 billion Muslims in this world, if you don't believe in God, then that is up to you.. anyone who believes in Quran will see *Allah* as a FACT, and obviously if you don't, then of course you'll act oppositely.. if you think I'm blind, then you live in a blind world and self deceiving.. did you think that we've been created in play? I don't think so.. Allah will show you the proof, sooner or later you will know.

  • Comment removed

  • @othman626 OR.... it's all just a crock of fairy tale nonsense and you've wasted your life on it :) Considering there is absolutely no evidence, not the tinyest little bit to back up the assertions of any "holy" book I know which side I'm on... The Majesty of REAL truth backed up by evidence conquers blind faith any day.

  • @Drweavil Ok, good luck on whatever you want to believe in.

  • Fantastic series. One of the best documentaries I have ever seen. Can't wait for Wonders of the Universe!

  • can anybody give any info about the background music...???

  • @pm1591989nd But of course. It is "Up in the Sky" by Oasis, from the album "Definitely Maybe." Cheers.

  • @johnsomnia thanx... i guessed it was oasis...;)

  • Amazing on blue-ray :) I love Astronomy! This is a must see!

  • I honestly dont know what i like better... this series, or the science vs religion agruement that ensues haha

  • Wonderful, That's why I also love physics.

  • @jafarkhawaja mate keep watching all these videos, degrasse hawking cox dawkins et al, and it will hit you sooner or later...you're in for a treat! love x

  • @jafarkhawaja when you do not understan something you hace two options: 1) Ask questions, do some research and find out how it really works or 2) Say that is impossible and believe in some magic creature that created everything.

There is not such a thing as "coincidence". We are like we are because a huge chain of things toke place for millions of years. We breathe air rich in oxygen not by chance, but because we are organisms which have evolved to breathe this air.

  • @jafarkhawaja.... look past religion, the human mind is distracted by primitive thoughts of religion, once religion lands a probe on mars, or Saturn's moon Titan, Then maybe people would take your beliefs serous. It is selfish and ignorant to believe that the earth and universe was created for humans to live, and half of the human population doesn't contribute their minds into progressing and learning about the universe or help advance the human race, they would rather say a "god" did so!

  • @jafarkhawaja God is a construct of the mind, an ancient one from when our civilisations didn't have the means to study beyond the world we live on, or the means to study the smallest things in the universe like atoms. A construct to give reason to their existence and the existence of the universe. Life on earth isn't a coincidence. It's a statistical inevitability. A thousand billion galaxies with hundreds of billions of stars with several planets each, it's impossible life cannot exist.

  • dammit wish they showed this in my country -.-

  • I'm warey now about many programmes on TV especially about the universe as I feel we aren't told the complete truth.

  • @Agui007 Each episode lasts 1 hour... think about that..

  • I havent seen those dramatic clouds there! Ita the end of the world! hehe! :]

  • I got this for my birthday. One of the best presents i've gotton :D I love him, and i love physics, like him

  • @fao4shka samee :D

  • I love this series. Indeed inspiring, it makes me want to discover and know so much more about this. But above all it makes me love this world even more.

  • Check out the sounds of the solar system according to Johannes Kepler in a cool site called transcendentaltones!

  • all i can say is WOW,what a series of programs and Brian Cox is a natural presenter. everyone that was involved in the making should feel so proud of what they produced because it was a joy to watch and for that i say a huge thank you to all of ye :)

  • This music awful!!! Is this series aimed to teenagers?

  • @dwyllie ...yea maaaan...hes oasis maaan...look at him...hes real...hes common...hes down to earth....yea hes just like u and me....yea maaan...long hair..baggy clothes....cargo pants...he aint a toff at all...hes cool n hip.....hahahahhaa...tv execs crack me up ......

  • @dwyllie

Lol, i know what you mean, but i think it's fitting for the epicness of the preview.

In the actual series the music is more peaceful and classical, basicly it all works when it's put to a background of his voice:D

  • brian cox needs a new tv series!!!!! shame hes so busy in switzerland!

  • @quayle95 Wonders of the Universe is on it's way, this March I think. I'm already getting excited.

  • i love thinking about the universe and how small i am and all the crazy stuff this show is awesome. also i think this guy sounds like old gregg a little bit hahaha

  • @GENeric110100100 olllllllllld greeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeegg!!

  • Chills chills chills chills chills.

And then there's the science stuff....(kidding, kidding)

  • i like the idea of this show... however they spend FAR too much time on Brian Cox.. cut him out of every frame and add CGI..

  • this is a great show, i love watching it

  • GEAR!

  • What song is that?

  • I want to know when Brian is going to talk about the greatest wonder of the solar system: Fuckin' magnets, how do they work?

  • Love watching shows on the sciences and just caught episodes of this recently.

Enjoyed it and I like this Professor Brian Cox, he is quite cool.

  • i love god. . thats enough..

  • @jovyniel1234 cool story bro

  • loved that series watched each episode about 3 times gonna get the dvd aswel just very enjoyable and nice to watch photography, space graphics etc he is captivating explaining things clearly aswel. and he chooses good music! esp the very end credits song introduced me to the carpenters! who would've thought!

But he does show how physics is interesting and can help explain the kind of questions we ask as children. cant wait till next years wondors of the universe already.

  • OASIS- UP IN THE SKY

  • 1) This whole series is about one sun. There are more suns in the universe than there are grains of sand on every beach in the world combined. Just let that thought detonate in your head.

    2) Got it?

    3) Now try to convince yourself that we are the only planet to develop life. What an insane piece of arrogance.

  • @sulljoh1 so you have seen this program in it's entirety?

keep in mind that the title of the series is "Wonders of the Solar System", not "Wonders of the Universe"!

  • @tonyLA24 I have. It is mind expanding.

  • @sulljoh1 it's not available in dvd or blu-ray until september 7, 2010 how did u get it?

  • @tonyLA24 They are all on youtube. Legally or not, I don't know. But the BBC doesn't allow you to watch them from the states for copyright reasons. I got the bit about grains of sand from Carl Sagan and checked it out for myself. According to best current estimates, there are about 100 times as many stars out there as grains of sand on all the beaches in the world. There are large error bars of course.

  • @sulljoh1 It's mind boggling how much we don't know of the universe, makes me excited for the future (assuming we don't blow ourselves up or a supernova blast takes us out)

  • @tonyLA24 lol. true. or destroy our food chain with reckless oil spills. I wonder when we'll figure out what dark matter is?

  • love how they try to use fossils as evidence for evolution the only thing you can tell from a fossil is that it died you cant tell that it had offspring or let alone differernt offspring

  • @Darcy137 I'll not go into detail about how ignorant of evolution you're portraying yourself here, for the youtube commenting system is a little too restrictive, as is your capability of understanding it (probably). What I will say is that I love it a whole lot more how ignoramuses like yourself use ancient, doctored, fraudulent scripts, written by semi-literate goat-herders some 2500 years ago, as a way of pouring scorn on modern science. Enroll yourself into a science course without delay.

  • @SamSlater Wait so are you saying what i said is wrong and this is all i said i copy asted it

"love how they try to use fossils as evidence for evolution the only thing you can tell from a fossil is that it died you cant tell that it had offspring or let alone differernt offspring"

and now when did i use this so called ancient, doctored, fraudulent scripts, written by semi-literate goat-herders some 2500 years ago, as a way of pouring scorn on modern science.

    Um learn to read fool!

  • Why is there an evolution creationism debate on this video? This is about Physics and the solar system. What's wrong with weirdos who reject science and reality and everything we've come to learn, they put blinders on their eyes and refuse to see the astounding beauty of the cosmos. They think the fact that they are made of atoms cooked in the center of stars and are in that way made of stars, is anything less than fucking beautiful. Shut up and watch Brian!

  • BBC took it down from youtube, lucky I saw it before they did. Come on people, we should all share and learn for free.

  • if evolution suggests that all organism evolved from a freak chemical result, and we all have evolved from the same base then the whole process should have taken billions of years... and does it mean that we are related to the dinos as well ? so why are chimps different from crabs and shrimps and humans from elephants...when did the species stop evolving or are they still evolving.. if chimps keep jumping from trees will they grow feathers ? Should i believe in gnomes/fairies/orcs/elves too then

  • @markmenez

Evolution is an ongoing process that effects every species at all times. With each new generation new random genetic differences will arise. If the difference proves to be beneficial then that trait may be passed down to future generations. Over many generations & environmental changes a distinct species can evolve. This process has taken billions of years and is always ongoing.

  • @eblackthorn .. as far as i am aware of "random genetic" mutations always causes degeneration instead of improvement.. if that was the case we shouldnt be obese right..we keep increasing fat and sugar contents in our diet since the last couple of generations so maybe in a couple of generations more we could have evolved genes which absorb that ? If not then isnt it consistent with the original design ? In billions of years, a week of solar flares wiping off ALL life looks more probable to me!!

  • @markmenez Well, as far as anyone who KNOWS what they're talking about is aware... evolution doesn't require "random genetic mutation." Maybe you should learn what evolution means before discussing it, and maybe realize that genetic mutations can be beneficial as well. Want a great example? LANCE ARMSTRONG. His genes allow him to take in more oxygen than an average person... does that sound bad? NO.

  • @Tlaloc666 Are you implying that Lance Armstrong has evolved into a different sub-species of humans / his genes have "evolved" ? If i say people living on higher altitudes can breathe without much difficult as compared to people living on the plains, would you say they have "evolved" ?

  • @markmenez It's obvious you don't UNDERSTAND what evolution by natural selection means. There's no 'goal' or 'thought' in evolution. There's no 'striving' for anything. Natural selection will only 'select' the less obese of us if obesity made it less likely that an individual would pass on his/here genes (either because they died earlier or sexual selection was an influence). Our genes don't just change, so we stop getting fat, because they realise there's an issue! Try and educate yourself.

  • @SamSlater I still fail to see how does "evolution" kicks in.. to me it still seems like preservation of genes rather than evolution... Can you enlighten why an amoeba require eyes / limbs / spine etc cause to me it seems perfectly ok without them ? So ideally the original state would be preserved and deviations would be weeded out..

PS: Do you also believe in elves / fairies / vampires who might have been extinct due to ENS (cause almost all cultures have mention of them) ?

  • @markmenez Well, it is the preservation of genes in the sense that the genes who are best at building the best machines to carry them (bodies) have more chance of passing on those traits. Your questions about why an amoeba needs limbs, or a spine, tells me you don't understand evolution, driven by natural selection. If you really wanted to find out you'd have read up on the subject already. This inclines me to believe you don't really want to know. Like I said: educate yourself.

  • @SamSlater So that we are on the same page...micro-evolution does not equal to macro evolution..i.e. if the average height of horses reduces over time in a region due to some external stimulus, it does NOT imply that whales can walk... do we agree ?

  • I was glued to this series. He is so passionate about what he's talking about! 10/10

  • I LIKE IT!!!

  • @calebp9503 If you would rather see Creationism and Evolution as two entirely different things; that is for you. For me they amount to the same thing. Somehow the earth exists and formed life that wonders why it exists. So I do equate the two.

I'm not expecting any answers... ever.

But I'd still like to know what it is all about (if anything)

  • Oasis - Up in the sky

Hey you up in the sky you wanna be me so on feel it brah!

    Filipino pride

  • this guy (commenter) is very lame

  • @mazureac Why?

  • @skarichie Now available on DVD and Blu-ray ;-)

  • fossil evidence, carbon-dating, rock sampling, species ident... I could go on all day! I hope you have evidence to back up religion because otherwise I will get bored. Heres aome advice; don't waste your life loving a false figure when you have put yourself in that position and have given you and your family food to eat and a place to live. So give you, your family and friends the credit for getting you there. Live every minute ;-)

  • you are very strong! Peace and light! Namasté!

  • To say that there is no evidence for evolution is quite possibly the most ignorant statement I have ever read. Go read a book.

  • @eblackthorn For example, Dr. Albert Fleischman, Professor of Zoology at the University of Erlangen in Germany, says, "The Darwinian theory of evolution has not a single fact to confirm it in the realm of nature. It is not the result of scientific research, but purely the product of the imagination."

  • @the0fart0machine If that is what you want to believe, go for it. If you want to believe that fossil evidence doesn't exist or that white butterflies didn't turn black to match their surroundings during the industrial revolution, that is your choice.

Lucky for you Dr. Albert Fleischman doesn't have similar doubts about gravity or things could get messy!

  • @omgitshardtofindanid

Dr. Albert Fleischman similar to Dr. Michael Behe are two wackjobs Creationist Biologist more famous for their quotes than they are for theirs research.

They specialize in writing books and making public statement for the consumption of creationist and conservative bloggers, but never do they submit research for peer review by other scientist.

Another self appointed pseudo scientist loved by these idiot is Lord Monckton.

They want acceptance by popular acclaim

  • @the0fart0machine

Proof, proof is what he has to submit to the real academic of scientific review for peer analysis.

No public bomb shell statements for creationist taking points in internet channels.

  • @JerezJulio Evolution doesn't have any proof. Just plain fantasy. I don't do religion or creation stuff, just real science without the bullshit!

  • @the0fart0machine

    Real Science you said?

It is not Evolution you do not believe; it seems you also believe Astrology is a scientific discipline, Give Creation to the possibility that Earth is 6000 years old.

You are free to believe what you will, can be a complete mute agaisnt facts if you like; one thing is quite clear Science, Logic, and Math will go on with despite people like you.

  • @the0fart0machine: If Evolution Theory doesn't have any proof, then why is it that the further archaeologists dig underground, the simpler the organisms in said layer become? While the dead body of a human might contain some trillion cells, the body of an organism dating back 3 million years has only millions if that. Does this not suggest that, as time goes on, organisms change and become more complex? I don't quite think so. Therefore, Evolution Theory isn't bullshit -- you just think it is.

  • @Incalite My view is evolution is dead in the water. Top mathematicians also share this view. To suggest that a chance event created complex life is to me irrational. Dawkins is promoting a pseudoscience called evolution. Its his religion actually.

  • @the0fart0machine

"top mathematicians" understand what they calculate, look :

if u start picking 4 different cards at random, u will have a likelihood of 4.17 % (1/4*3*2*1*100%) for this (each of the 24) special outcome(s), quite low, but does it mean that its irrational to detect that this experiment really happened ? for evolution, u would have myriads of steps (like the cards in this experiment), do you recognize the problem ? the only irrational thing here is the interpretation

  • @marcelllecram The thing with evolution is this, DNA doesn't back it up, the maths doesn't either, Dawkins censors material written against evolution in the times educational supplement. Its a religion.

  • @Incalite Evolution doesn't have proof! You keep mentioning proof, there is non. Scientific methods of dating are inaccurate. Remember no complete record of fossils!

  • @the0fart0machine Google "evidence for evolution", click on the third link (Berkeley) and go to "Darwin's 'Extreme' Imperfection?". Then, please, do your research.

  • @Incalite There's 2 sides to the coin, it's all a convoluded mess

  • @Incalite

evolution doesn't rule out or disproof creation!

The biggest proof for creation (im not talking about adam&eve!) is that there has never been something created out of nothing!

simple organism or not, its all the same principle!

  • @obaidCarkey Sure, but before you can say that the Singularity's expansion, you must prove scientifically that God does exist, and that he was in fact the catalyst for this expansion. There are two injustices you can do to your belief: Try to prove it within scientific constraints, and assume the god you believe in is the cause of things we don't yet scientifically understand. Furthermore, not yet knowing something doesn't merit the assumption that said mystery has no practical explanation.

  • @Incalite

"proving" is just a game science plays and not very well for my opinion. Science is good and needed but science has a luxury when it comes to "proving" that religion doesn't have; science doesn't have to prove anything assumed until its a mathematical or physical fact and then we say: "Aaah, that's science and look how bad religion looks!"

Religion is more than females out of ribs and six day creations! Both religion and science are bad at making predictions! look beyond that!

  • @obaidCarkey If I understood you correctly; Science is not some sort of omniscient being. It doesn't know anything, it doesn't prove anything. What it does do, like religion, is try to prove something, but unlike religion, science is something that quickly advances -- when new evidence arises that goes against the common idea, when prediction is no longer possible, scientists refine or entirely remodel their idea to accommodate said gaps. Religion's predictions are fulfilled after events happen.

Religion, i admit, is currently and has been historically abused for a lot of stupidity. What one must not do is ask of religion to prove itself on science's home field. Religion was not meant to do what science is for; Science is not new and lived side by side with religion among the earliest societies. As science advanced, it became very specialized and very big. Its typical only of the past 500 years and only in the west that science is at odds with religion.

The big bang theory doesn't argue that the universe came from nothing. It seeks rather to explain what happened from the moment that the universe began to exponentially expand. You'll be hard pressed to find an astrophysicist that says that the universe just popped into existance out of absolutely nothing. Creationism on the other hand argues that god created the universe and matter from absolutely nothing.
