  • 2 and a half million people saw a crane crash in Holland. Welcome to youtube.

  • ahaha car BOOOM :))) very nice

  • I dont reckon it was a plane crash.Mabye scraping it?

  • @mediumawlful Yeah, I don't know. Expand the description under the vid for a link to the story. They say it was a crash and then it was scrapped after. Probably wouldn't just park a plane alongside an active runway as a place for scrapping.

  • @mkbarth Yeah,I did a typical youtube thing and commented without looking at all the info. It's good to have all those further details there.....As I read the comments I see that I'm not the only blurter

  • they did not make all the pictures the same day!

  • @armarares Yeah, different days. Expand the description under the vid for details.

  • you dont know how to tell the difference between south and north korea

  • @jasoncookie999 Sure. South Korea - lots of Kimchi. North Korea - not so much.

  • @mkbarth whats the music i hate it

  • @jasoncookie999 Yeah, my first soundtrack for this vid was Bad Day by Daniel Powter. But, Mr. Powter was not amused and asked that it be removed. This is Bad Guy by Haitz - it's one of YouTube's free soundtracks available for dubbing.

  • @mkbarth are you serious?

  • @Hamptoncltn Uh . . . no.

  • @mkbarth he's batman

  • For some reason in 06 I'm not thinking car crash in baghdad I'm thinking ied

  • @butttblaster You are right. You might have annotations hidden, and can't see the update. Expand the description under the vid for a link to the story of what happened that day.

  • If you search for cruise ship sinks in Busan the BBC did a artical on it.

  • That cruise ship isn't capsized, it's just the angle the picture was taken from the satellite. You can even look at the buildings around it and see that all the shadows, which the cruise ships shadow and the angle of the picture give it a optical illusion effect.

  • @chincemasterflex Yeah, photos from planes and satellites can make funny angles. A picture from a different angle might be better. Expand the description under the video for a link to a better picture.

  • @chincemasterflex actually that cruise ship was on it's side. I was based in the marina about 1000 meters north of the dock there. the story was that storm surge and tidal changes changed, the cruise ship rose and pull it to starboard enough to the low downfloiding point. It took the Koreans aobut 3 months to re-float and clean it up.

  • @chincemasterflex. Think thats capsized. Can see the whole side, they dont shoot in 45 degrees angle =)

  • @CaptSkoglund Yeah, you're right. Expand the description under the vid for a link to a better picture of this ship laying over on its side.

  • This looks glitched and shitty, anyone who believes this is stupid.

  • @123TauruZ321 Yeah. Looks like it's not real. But, everything was there in Google Earth when this vid was recorded. Some of the things have moved and GE has been updated, and so are gone now. But, you can use GE's Time Slider feature to go back in time and make the older images reappear. Expand the description under the vid for locations, links and pictures for everything.

  • You missed about a million babies getting born! You know, "bundles of joy"! Heck, you missed a whole whackload of good stuff from graduations to job promotions and such. Yes, there are somethings that Google earth will never find! >:o)

  • still there if you dont update it

  • by the Capsized Cruise Ship there is a photo of the thing from ground level, looks pretty cool lol, nice video btw :P

  • I lost a pair of nike trainers in Barking Park ... can it find them

  • EVERYDAY is a bad day in Bagdad!

  • @mkbarth oh yeah, I see now didn't think to look lol :)

  • I bet the "traffic accident" in Baghdad wasn't a "traffic accident", not that what I'm hinting at is good either (cus it's not) but hey just a guess :)

  • @abside96 Yeah. You must have Annotations turned off. I covered the accident note with a correction about this IED. Expand the description under the vid for a link to what happened that day.

  • wow how did you find all these? great

  • @psd90x I've never found anything interesting in Google Earth by just looking. But, there are web sites where others have already collected their interesting finds. Like gearthhacks or bbs.keyhole. Expand the description under the vid for details on these.

  • @mkbarth oh ok thanks

  • Friday 13?

  • .....how the fuck do you find this shit lol

  • @Fourteen88SoCal It’s not hard if you know the trick. There are web sites where others have already collected their interesting finds in Google Earth. Like gearthhacks or bbs.keyhole. Expand the description under the vid for details on these.

  • @mkbarth I figured there was at least of forums or something lol...either way, very cool video! and could you imagine being on GEarth randomly looking around and you just so happened to come across one of those photos lol

  • 365 ppl r havin a "good" day

  • i lol'd at the comment put over the top of the bagdad bit LOL

  • Wow

  • When it was zooming in on Baghdad, I think I saw about 10 Iranians 'doing' each other.

  • the cruise ship looks more like it's careening

  • @SuperAWaC Yeah, I guess capsized means the bottom of the ship would be pointing up. This one is really listing. Expand the description under the vid for a link to a better picture.

  • In bhagdad that lools like sumthin exploded

  • @XxawsomenesxX Yeah. This was an IED. I did some looking and posted an article about it. Expand the description under the vid for a link.

  • How did i end up here!? i searched minigolf??

  • I love google earth, Your finds were amazing! Great channel man!

  • What's this song? It's fucking awesome.

  • @unohoo09 The song in this vid is Bad Guy by Haitz. It's one of the soundtracks that YouTube provides for adding to our vids.

  • @mkbarth Thats not Bad Day, it some wierd sound effect i'm hearing...are you sure WMG didn't copyright infringe your video?

  • @ShadowLinkxMaster You're right. The song in this vid is not Bad Day by Daniel Powter. It's Bad Guy by Haitz. Originally, the vid was uploaded with Powter's Bad Day. But he didn't like it, so I re-dubbed it from YouTube's library.

  • The capsized cruise ship and the tower crane are fine. What you notice is the satellites don't take pictures facing directly at the ground, but are actually at an angle. So you see some of one side of the ship, the crane, and all of the surrounding structures.

  • @pickles1979 Yeah, photos from planes and satellites can make funny angles. A picture from a different angle might be better. Expand the description under the video for links to better pictures of the capsized ship and collapsed crane..

  • That wasnt a plane crash... the Ethiopians scrapped it when it landed... And the cruise ship toppled when everyone tried to get off all at once... they were told it was a Karoke Bar. Bummer about the IED...

  • Ok who has time to look everywhere in the world for this stuff

  • @TheMike31b Yeah, I don't know. I sure don't. But here's the trick. There are web sites where others have already collected their interesting finds in Google Earth. Like gearthhacks or bbs.keyhole. Expand the description under the vid for details on these.

  • @TheMike31b: ikr

  • 1 word: HOLLAND

  • i thought i turned my plastation on for a second.

  • jesus is coming soon

    receive him and eternal life...

    gcnlivedotcom

    endtimedotcom

  • @mosesmoses2000 Satan is coming soon too, and hes bringing beer.......

  • see what you think of this.... type in slotervaart ziekenhuis amsterdam. its a hospital in holland

  • this is disturbing

  • All those things are gone now...

    Damn it

  • @Jorik1997 Yeah. They've solved the problem with moving things disappearing when Google Earth gets updated. You can use GE's Time Slider feature to go back in time and make the older images reappear. At the top, click on the icon that looks like a clock. A slider will appear. Moving it back and forth will change Google Earth to older and newer views.

  • Very cool!

  • Traffic accident.... no no no, ied attack. You didnt even taped well the original text, c'mon!

  • @chanclasmiadaz You are right. Expand the description under the vid for more information on the IED attack. This vid was already uploaded before I received confirmation that it was an IED. The correction in the vid is the best that YouTube will allow after the vid is uploaded.

  • should have shown Washington DC when Obummer was sworn in to be the United States first illegal alien president, can you say impeachment baby

  • nice video.

    "imaging radars" +"mathforum" google.com.

  • The ship is not capsized, it is just the angle that the satellite took the image from. Take a moment and look at some high rise buildings in the same area...it will appear that they are leaning as well.

  • @Premair Yeah, photos from planes and satellites can make funny angles. A picture from a different angle might be better. Expand the description under the video for a link to a better picture of the capsized ship.

  • @mkbarth The ship is indeed capsized. Just google for capsized cruise ship.

  • @Premair google is great.

  • @Premair

The ship IS capsized, You can see the forward deck awash. You can read about it here,,gearthblogDOTcom/blog/archives/2006/09/capsized_cruise_ship.html

    REPLACE DOT with .

  • How did you put bad dat title and your youtube channel on the google earth.

  • @squeakmo1 Good question! I went to that spot in Google Earth, but backed away clear into space. Then, I just created a Placemark. For the properties of the placemark, I typed in the title for its name, and made the label scale big. For the icon, I clicked on No Icon. Then, I change the altitude for the placemark to real high.

  • worst "music" ever

  • What is the name of the song on your "Bad Day" video and where can it be downloded? Thanks in advance.

  • @wildmanwillie The song in this vid is Bad Guy by Haitz. It's one of the free soundtracks that YouTube provides with their AudioSwap feature for making videos. When I originally uploaded this vid I used Daniel Powter's song Bad Day. But Mr. Powter didn't like it and asked me to take it down.

  • im surprised i dont see this comment, but ill make it .. Think about this these pictures are taken from directly above the earth.. the crane isnt collapsed your just looking at it from above, same with the boat im pretty sure.

  • @wishmasterbrazen Yeah, photos from planes and satellites can make funny angles. A picture from a different angle might be better. Expand the description under the video for links to better pictures.

  • Wow waste more time

  • Typical... 1:00 to 1:10

  • gota love the music, feels like star trek, im trying to kill the boarg xD lol <33

  • The IED Attack Ones Still There

  • @wadey313 they are all still there. you can go back in time by clicking the clock button on google earth

  • someone rly have time to watching map xD

  • @leksss4 It does not take much time if you know the trick. There are web sites where others have already collected their interesting finds in Google Earth. Like gearthhacks or bbs.keyhole. Expand the description under the vid for details on these.

  • @leksss4

you could be cynical and say that to just about anything ever done. don't be.

  • @leksss4 ou cmon... no more comments plz.... i tjust said for joke..... you can give thumps up if you want

  • It would have been nice if there indeed was a capsized ship on the picture where a capsized ship is mentioned. But there isn't one. Just one with a list!

  • @kastelholm Yeah. But, they've solved the problem with moving things disappearing when Google Earth gets updated. You can use GE's Time Slider feature to go back in time and make the older images reappear. At the top, click on the icon that looks like a clock. A slider will appear. Moving it back and forth will change Google Earth to older and newer views.

  • how would one go about finding all these?

  • @Wolfy2821 Expand the description under the vid for details on all of these. For more, there are web sites where others have collected their interesting finds. Like gearthhacks or bbs.keyhole.

  • i was hoping for a plan crash with the flight simulator -.-

  • can you please change the music to bad day again? the actual music is bad

  • @11Stormtrooper Nope. Daniel Powter didn't like his song being used, and said I had to remove it. Once a vid is uploaded, YouTube does not let you upload a different soundtrack. They only let you switch to one of the songs that they provide, like the one in the vid now.

  • trafic accident my ass more like a IED

  • @gotskillzz1 With captions turned on, It should say "IED Attack". Expand the description under the vid for a link to the story.

  • @bonbongirl10 Translation?

  • except this wasn't all on the same day

  • @MarcusVel13 The bad day was the day I made this poor video.

  • Traffic "accident" is what it should say.

  • @slappydum With captions turned on, It should say "IED Attack". Expand the description under the vid for a link to the story.

  • so the sun is always up on google earth?

  • @Ls7colorado Good question. GE has a sunlight button that shows real-time day and night. What's cool is on 3-D buildings, it shows the shadows right for the time of day.

  • Sure that cruise ship is capsized? Could it not just be due to the angle the photo was taken?

  • @intense40 Yeah, photos from planes and satellites can make funny angles. A picture from a different angle might be better. Expand the description under the video for a link to a better picture.

  • @mkbarth Yeah, i dont think it is capsized it would be all over the news.

  • @ArmaEditor Yeah, this capsize hasn't been in the news since 2003 when it happened. Google Earth has been updated since this video was made, and the ship is gone now. But, you can use GE's time slider to go back and see it again. And for a better picture from a different angle, expand the description under the video for a link.

  • @intense40 Actually there is a picture right where it used to be showing it capsized.

  • Gotta love GE. =]

  • I just looked up the plane crash. Neat. =]

  • .......Mc Donalds got my order wrong, Chicago.

  • @soloride666 Thats funny That is exactly like my sister!

  • nice

  • everything but the IED is gone now

  • @crapdoggeh Yeah.

  • At one time the Graniteville train wreck was on there as well

  • @TPM75108 You can still see the Graniteville train wreck in Google Earth. It's at 33°33'43.25"N, 81°48'31.38"W. There have been updates with newer satellite images, so you have to use GE's Time Slider and go back to the Jan 11, 2005 image. Thanks.

  • @mkbarth Wow I didn't know that of course it's been so long since I looked at that part.

  • Nice video! are you going to mae more?

  • u spend waaaaayyy to much time on google earth..

  • its not possible that all those were takin the same day. it can take months or even over a year before another area is updated.

  • @bow2deathwish Yeah, you're right. Expand the description under the vid for details, including dates, for everthything.

  • The plane simply got dismantled and maybe recycled, crap!

  • @GregorSecret Yeah, you're right. They dismantled the plane for recycle .... after it crashed. Expand the description under the vid for a link to the story.

  • No no it's a FAKE, i know cause I'am God.

  • @iammabbella No you're not, I am !!!!!!

  • oh wait nevermind, i got it ;)

  • @rutherd313 and i see the crane!!! lol XD

  • hey mcbarth, i tried looking up the crane collapse in Holland, but the time lapse wouldn't let me go anywhere before dec. 31 2009...you know why that is?

  • FAKE, ALL FAKES.

THE SHIP ISN'T CAPSIZED, IT'S AN OPTICAL EFFECT:

  • @iammabbella Everything was there in Google Earth when this vid was recorded. Some things have moved and GE has been updated. But, you can use GE's Time Slider to go back in time and make the older images reappear. And yeah, photos from planes and satellites can make funny angles. A picture of the ship from a different angle might be better. Expand the description under the video for a link to a better picture and for locations, links and pictures for everything else.

  • @iammabbella - Just watch the news more often before calling everything on youtube what you didn't know fake....

  • @iammabbella

It was indeed! The creator of this even put a link to a news article. You can find other articles about it too.

  • @iammabbella i think only the boat is the optial illusion. i dont think that it is capsized. but all others seem to be real.

  • @meds613 Yeah, photos from planes and satellites can make funny angles. A picture from a different angle might be better. Expand the description under the video for a link to a better picture.

  • @iammabbella

you can see real pictures of it at google earth....no FAKE!

  • ya know theres a war goin on in baghdad doncha? doubt that was a "traffic accident" lol

  • @jeepnutnh Yeah, you're right. I put a caption over the original text (turn captions on). It was an IED. Expand the description under the vid for a link to the details of what happened and the casualty.

  • this was one fuckin bad day haha

  • OMG who cares if Holland is a province of the Netherlands!!!, jeez, that wasn't the point of this lol!, wow cool video mkbarth :)

  • Netherlands = Neverhood O_O? (<--- reference. Only skullmonkeys will get it.)

  • Unless you come from the netherlands, i don't think u will understand the meaning of holland, it used to be another name for the netherlands, no city , no country.

  • Look! Holland is the same as the netherlands.

    Believe me i know,

    Greetz Chris from holland/the netherlands

  • @wildmanwillie i believe it sounds much like the sounds jean michel jarre uses

  • HOLLAND = NOT A COUNTRY OR A CITY....

  • @666nightwish666 Aah, sorry. Long ago, when this crane accident happened, it was called Holland.

  • @mkbarth

Look.. The Netherlands is the country, Holland was a province in The Netherlands, and 400 years ago it splitted up in North and South.

  • @666nightwish666 Yeah, I was just messing with you. Should have said Netherlands. The site where I found the crane accident labeled it Holland and I didn't change it.

  • @666nightwish666 they are the same thing you can call them netherlands or holland!!!

  • @TomBTV1 It's not smart ass..

Holland was a province in The Netherlands, now splitted up in North and South.

But it's just a part of The Netherlands

  • @666nightwish666 actually they're the same thing

  • @666nightwish666 Can you say "trollerific"?

  • @666nightwish666 Its also called the Netherlands

  • @mukhammer I already said that, thank you

  • Yeah...

    try an' find the

    nude chix on

    the beach

    in the Rivera...

    bah!

  • the plane crash isnt real. i checked

  • @touchingiPodtouches1 Yeah, the plane crash has been cleaned up and Google Earth has been updated, so it’s gone now. But the wreck was there in GE when this vid was recorded. And you can use GE's Time Slider to go back in time and make the plane reappear. At the top click on the icon that looks like a clock. A slider will appear. Move it back and forth to change Google Earth to older and newer views. Expand the description under the vid for locations, links and pictures for everything.

  • @mkbarth i know that but it only goes bak to 04. u cant go bak to 03 anymore

  • @touchingiPodtouches1 Hmmm. When I use the time slider and go back to Nov 2005, the plane crash reappears.

  • @mkbarth idk then cause mine doesnt show up

  • @touchingiPodtouches1 search on google for Mahfooz Aviation Boeing 707-347C crash or accident... i think you will find it.

  • lol

  • How'd you manage to find these?

  • @DrummerRucka It’s not hard if you know the trick. There are web sites where others have already collected their interesting finds in Google Earth. Like gearthhacks or bbs.keyhole. Expand the description under the vid for details on these.

  • @mkbarth Ahh okay. I remember searching 5 or 6 hours and I found an MVA. it was a good one too.

    Thanks for clarifying that.
