@mediumawlful Yeah, I don't know. Expand the description under the vid for a link to the story. They say it was a crash and then it was scrapped after. Probably wouldn't just park a plane alongside an active runway as a place for scrapping.

@jasoncookie999 Yeah, my first soundtrack for this vid was Bad Day by Daniel Powter. But, Mr. Powter was not amused and asked that it be removed. This is Bad Guy by Haitz - it's one of YouTube's free soundtracks available for dubbing.
@butttblaster You are right. You might have annotations hidden, and can't see the update. Expand the description under the vid for a link to the story of what happened that day.
That cruise ship isn't capsized, it's just the angle the picture was taken from the satellite. You can even look at the buildings around it and see that all the shadows, which the cruise ships shadow and the angle of the picture give it a optical illusion effect.
@chincemasterflex Yeah, photos from planes and satellites can make funny angles. A picture from a different angle might be better. Expand the description under the video for a link to a better picture.
@chincemasterflex actually that cruise ship was on it's side. I was based in the marina about 1000 meters north of the dock there. the story was that storm surge and tidal changes changed, the cruise ship rose and pull it to starboard enough to the low downfloiding point. It took the Koreans aobut 3 months to re-float and clean it up.
@123TauruZ321 Yeah. Looks like it's not real. But, everything was there in Google Earth when this vid was recorded. Some of the things have moved and GE has been updated, and so are gone now. But, you can use GE's Time Slider feature to go back in time and make the older images reappear. Expand the description under the vid for locations, links and pictures for everything.

@ShadowLinkxMaster You're right. The song in this vid is not Bad Day by Daniel Powter. It's Bad Guy by Haitz. Originally, the vid was uploaded with Powter's Bad Day. But he didn't like it, so I re-dubbed it from YouTube's library.
The capsized cruise ship and the tower crane are fine. What you notice is the satellites don't take pictures facing directly at the ground, but are actually at an angle. So you see some of one side of the ship, the crane, and all of the surrounding structures.
@pickles1979 Yeah, photos from planes and satellites can make funny angles. A picture from a different angle might be better. Expand the description under the video for links to better pictures of the capsized ship and collapsed crane..
That wasnt a plane crash... the Ethiopians scrapped it when it landed... And the cruise ship toppled when everyone tried to get off all at once... they were told it was a Karoke Bar. Bummer about the IED...

@squeakmo1 Good question! I went to that spot in Google Earth, but backed away clear into space. Then, I just created a Placemark. For the properties of the placemark, I typed in the title for its name, and made the label scale big. For the icon, I clicked on No Icon. Then, I change the altitude for the placemark to real high.
@wildmanwillie The song in this vid is Bad Guy by Haitz. It's one of the free soundtracks that YouTube provides with their AudioSwap feature for making videos. When I originally uploaded this vid I used Daniel Powter's song Bad Day. But Mr. Powter didn't like it and asked me to take it down.
im surprised i dont see this comment, but ill make it .. Think about this these pictures are taken from directly above the earth.. the crane isnt collapsed your just looking at it from above, same with the boat im pretty sure.

@ArmaEditor Yeah, this capsize hasn't been in the news since 2003 when it happened. Google Earth has been updated since this video was made, and the ship is gone now. rutherd313 1 year ago
hey mcbarth, i tried looking up the crane collapse in Holland, but the time lapse wouldn't let me go anywhere before dec. 31 2009...you know why that is?
rutherd313 1 year ago
FAKE, ALL FAKES.
THE SHIP ISN'T CAPSIZED, IT'S AN OPTICAL EFFECT:
iammabbella 1 year ago
@iammabbella Everything was there in Google Earth when this vid was recorded. Some things have moved and GE has been updated. But, you can use GE's Time Slider to go back in time and make the older images reappear. And yeah, photos from planes and satellites can make funny angles. A picture of the ship from a different angle might be better. Expand the description under the video for a link to a better picture and for locations, links and pictures for everything else.

@iammabbella - Just watch the news more often before calling everything on youtube what you didn't know fake....
Dutchdragonblade 1 year ago
@iammabbella
It was indeed! The creator of this even put a link to a news article. You can find other articles about it too.

@iammabbella i think only the boat is the optial illusion. i dont think that it is capsized. but all others seem to be real.

@meds613 Yeah, photos from planes and satellites can make funny angles. A picture from a different angle might be better. Expand the description under the video for a link to a better picture.

Netherlands = Neverhood O_O? (<--- reference. Only skullmonkeys will get it.)
solidsnake4147 1 year ago
Unless you come from the netherlands, i don't think u will understand the meaning of holland, it used to be another name for the netherlands, no city , no country.

Look! Holland is the same as the netherlands.

HOLLAND = NOT A COUNTRY OR A CITY....
666nightwish666 1 year ago
@666nightwish666 Aah, sorry. Long ago, when this crane accident happened, it was called Holland.
mkbarth 1 year ago
@mkbarth
Look.. The Netherlands is the country, Holland was a province in The Netherlands, and 400 years ago it splitted up in North and South.
666nightwish666 1 year ago
@666nightwish666 Yeah, I was just messing with you. Should have said Netherlands. The site where I found the crane accident labeled it Holland and I didn't change it.
mkbarth 1 year ago
@666nightwish666 they are the same thing you can call them netherlands or holland!!!
TomBTV1 1 year ago
@TomBTV1 It's not smart ass..
Holland was a province in The Netherlands, now splitted up in North and South.
But it's just a part of The Netherlands

the plane crash isnt real. i checked
touchingiPodtouches1 1 year ago
@touchingiPodtouches1 Yeah, the plane crash has been cleaned up and Google Earth has been updated, so it’s gone now. But the wreck was there in GE when this vid was recorded. And you can use GE's Time Slider to go back in time and make the plane reappear. At the top click on the icon that looks like a clock. A slider will appear. Move it back and forth to change Google Earth to older and newer views. Expand the description under the vid for locations, links and pictures for everything.
mkbarth 1 year ago
@mkbarth i know that but it only goes bak to 04. u cant go bak to 03 anymore
touchingiPodtouches1 1 year ago
@touchingiPodtouches1 Hmmm. When I use the time slider and go back to Nov 2005, the plane crash reappears.
mkbarth 1 year ago
@mkbarth idk then cause mine doesnt show up

How'd you manage to find these?
DrummerRucka 1 year ago
@DrummerRucka It’s not hard if you know the trick. There are web sites where others have already collected their interesting finds in Google Earth. Like gearthhacks or bbs.keyhole. Expand the description under the vid for details on these.
mkbarth 1 year ago
@mkbarth Ahh okay. I remember searching 5 or 6 hours and I found an MVA. it was a good one too.
Thanks for clarifying that.
