ive remember when dj's use to open cassette tapes and cut them to make the break beats come together because we've could'nt aford no turn tables then put them back together then go to a house party then rapp off of it 1970 BX
No...never heard of those spots, but that doesn't have anything to do with that succa lying. He always was a succa to me, Jazzy Jeff a fucc dat boy up on the 1's and 2's....Blaze
Did you ever go anywhere else than Money Makin!!??!!
What about The Galaxy 2000, Twighlight Zone, Hevalo, the Audubon , renaissance, P.A.L., T Connection, Ecstacy Garage, 371 club etc or where they to far above Central park to feel safe?
It's called the great debate. It was probably Flash who invented scratchin due to the fact that Theodore was much younger. I know because the birth of hip hop started around 168 st and Boston Road in the Bronx.
Okay I see, so y is everybody saying that he created scratchin and not flash.. like africa bambatta(I think that's how u spell it) kid capri, aren't these cats from NY....Blaze
Forget what everyone is saying, u have to talk to the cat's who have been their from the begining who know the real deal.Kid
Capri came much later. Bam was on the other side of town, Bx. River, doing his spade thing. Cat's from 168st and Boston Road took it to another level with Djing and Mcing. Peace
So if hip-hop is from NY, which I heard it wuz too. Y day lettin south take over? maybe Nas wuz right. cuz da shit day playin now is whacc as fucc, I hate dat song crank dat, dat lil nigga ugly as fucc....Blaze
Yes HIP-HOP originated in da streets of the BRONX. And yes NAS is right it is DEAD rap replaced it. today's rapper spit mindless dribble take paul wall rob the jewlery store song. if ya robbed the store y you sayin how much you payed 4 the chain he's a jackass as is most of today's rapper, But I MUST GIVE PROPS to the only lyricist to come out of the SOUTH LUDA 1 GR8T M.C. where r all the lyricist at these day HIP-HOP IS DEAD oh and young jeezy a JACKASS TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!
At one point McDonalds was a mom and pop burger spot that served food that was decent and affordable. Once the owners were offered funding to expand, they took it and ran with it. What happens when you incorporate a mom and pop operation is that the soul/passion of the idea gets lost in prepackaging for quick turnover. This is the problem with Hip Hop. It's being taken advantage of like most cultures get taken advantage of. Nothing new.
Hip Hop isn't dead. In any civilization, you never look at the surface as a representation of what the origin is about. This moment we're in is a natural progression. It's growth.
@cashnet82 Sun you a funny dude, people say it aint dead people say all kindza slick ish & they intellectualize. I say it has changed, I remember cats would throw a jam and the Writers(graff) would be throwin up a piece and the whole atmosphere was hiphop the gear everything! These young kids disrespect B-Boying Graff and even DJing. When them people(you know who)saw how big rap was, they zoomed in effed it up and fattened their pockets but this party is proof it aint dead.
So Flash is claiming he invented scratching? Wonder what DXT has to say about that?

1. Flash invented backspins and pullbacks to allow him to keep the break going. - Fact
2. Flash didnt invent scratching, Mene Genes brother Theodore did. Theodore was a kid and used to watch Flash when he was teamed up with Mean Gene.
3. Just for info the Furious 3 were originally Flashes dancers not his MCs which they later became.
