i hate when im using this gun and all of a sudden boom boom boom boom boom striker spams you. and i wanted to know why they had to put a proficiency on the shotguns to make them what they already should be. the other guns in this game dont have that. another thing sniper rifles will get more 1 hit kills up close than a shotgun, they dont even need a proficiency to be a one hit kill 97% of the time

I think that the spas-12 deserves a better rating. On my road to gold with spas-12 I got about 5 collaterals and several montage clips. With damage and grip it turns into a beast. I think it's best to hipfire and make sure the enemy is in the middle of the hipfire crosshairs. It will be a one shot kill about 80% of the time.

He did it. He shocked the world. 1887 in fourth did come as a shock. I would have ranked it 2nd. I love the 1887 in MW3. The only thing to top it for me is the Striker with Extended Mags and Range of course. But I play a lot of Hardcore. My KDR is 1.34 and my WLR is 1.30. That may not sound too good but considering I'm playing with random noobs and inexperienced teammates I don't consider it that bad. I also play a lot of HC S&D. So 1887 with Range and Dead Silence. @londonsky1991, It depends. If you don't have assassin and enemies call in UAVs, you lose out on that invisibility that you could have had by just picking a gun off of the ground. On the other hand, in modes like search where you won't see a ton of weapons on the ground, it might be more beneficial to use overkill.

is it really worth all of the bother ranking up a shotgun 28 times just to get something that the shotguns really should have anyway? especially when you're about to prestige. I tried ranking up the spas-12 and only found grief. I know these guns become really powerful later on, but that's a long time to wait for a type of gun that is more reliant on pure luck (the randomness of the spread) than skill for the first little while. The problem with your ranking is on the Spas YOU WILL USE EM. Thus the spas becomes more powerful than the model. If you were using them naked, the the 1887 would have won, but youre not- Thumbs this up if you believe Bob should see this so he knows the Spas IS better than the 1887

@blazer1525 The stats tell the story, really. It's just that one stat can mean so much. For instance, the 1887 has amazing stats for most of the way, then a slow damage per second. That one stat means a LOT, so it changes the entire picture of the gun. I go over stats because I'm a numbers guy, I love the numbers.

I'm glad you put that disclaimer at the end about the Ext Mags Spas being better. It's pretty much widely accepted among shotty users that the Spas is a better one shotter than the Model (using guys like XCal and ManInBlack as a reference). The difference in pellets makes such a huge difference that maybe number don't indicate.
