please, if I don't have buttermilk, can I just use milk to replace, and can u tell me what is the function of using buttermilk instead of milk. thanks for your video.
@Stephaniebobo these are called buttermilk pancakes. That is their function. If you want to use regular milk, I'd look up a regular pancake recipe. You can make up your own buttermilk bu7t as I stated in my description box, it did not make the pancakes taste the same.
YOU ARE MY NEW BESTIE... I sooooooooo luv'd when you said @ 2:50 "I'M HERE TO COOK PEOPLE, You're not here to sit and stare at my mug" ..... Thank you for sharing sis.....
@chamogul haha You are welcome :) I have never understood the people who have tripods set up to show their extravagant kitchen and their pretty little outfits. I don't care about looking at you. I want to see the FOOD. Most of us do not have those pretty kitchens that are big enough to put a queen sized bed in, with two stoves and granite counters. ;)
I looooove watching your videos! It definitely makes my day when I see that there's a new video up. Also those pancakes look absolutely fluffy and delicious. I will definitely try it out.
OH so delish! I will have to make up a little batch of pancakes, just for myself, when my nephews were young and I was helping out at mky sister's, I used to make homemade pancakes for them, they loved it, I never used meaurijg cups or spoons i=I just figured it out as you go along haha, I like cooking like that just using what looks right give or take a teasoon or two, hv a good day!
Those were some beauts! Once you make homemade pancakes you just can't eat the box stuff. Btw have you used a product called dried buttermilk? Sasco is the brand name and usually in the baking isle. It is actually the dried cream of the buttermilk not the skim milk like in a carton and of course if you don't drink it not often on hand. The Sasco add great flavor but also really aids in making better baked bread, cake etc. I love it for pancakes. You get the fluff factor too.
I use to love Bisquick but now use Barefoot Contessa recipe or Truck Stop Pancake recipe, the texture is different meaning soooo much better. Do try the Sasco it comes in a little can about the size of a small can Crisco you won't be w/o it after. I use it in my homemade Cinnamon Buns and usually eat 3 before I can get out of the kitchen. LOL
Been watching and enjoying your vids for awhile; had to comment on this one. You had me in hysterics w/ your "fluffy action". They look awesome and I will be giving this recipe a try : )

noooo i know how butter milk is suposed to be !! But we buy all diary prodacts from a local store which is much more tasty than the one we buy from factories so its not completly out of butter there are some in there ... If u ever bought from a local store / farm you will know what i mean :D
ok, i really want to make this, but theirs 8 people in my house so i think i should double? i dont know if i should even triple.. how many, roughly, does one batch make? thank you! :D
@CookingAndCrafting haha yeah, i made it 3 times and then i made a huge batch of crepes so we just about had enough ;) lol thanks for the recipe, fluffiest pancakes i've ever eaten!! :O :D
I think this is how my best friend's dad makes his pancakes they look the same and are always so fluffy! I had no idea there were buttermilk pancakes, is this the american way of making pancakes? I must try these :D
pancakes are yumfort food. i just made that up. i hereby copyright the term "yumfort food" - if you hear it anywhere else ever, you will know it started right here in your comment section.
@snarkdetriomphe True. It was a girl who just wanted to know. She then replied, "I do believe that on many cooking shows, many people can be superficial on how the cook looks like instead of how he/she cooks like. So I see where you're coming from..." ... I obviously, as you know, don't care what I look like. People are here for the cooking, as you said.
@snarkdetriomphe I knew someone could appreciate it ;) My niece who is now 16-1/2 used to eat off that as well as the Power Puff Girls. Now Bainy uses it haha Until he figures out it is girl stuff. But I guess he won't care.
hhhh its so fluffy i am gonna die :P is it okay if i do it with buttermilk that actually have a good amount of butter in it ?? Like there is butter lumps in the buttermilk ??
@CookingAndCrafting ya i do :D will the butter milk we buy in here have some lumps of butter in it pure soft butter (and we wonder how do we have heart attacks lolzZ !!!! ) but maybe i can strain it ?? what do you think ?
@KINDERKRAFTS OMG it is sooo good, Surie! I don't know about the exchange of the yogurt for the buttermilk... you could try. It may not get as fluffy(?)
I LOVE buttermilk pancakes! As usual, I do not have buttermilk in the house so will have to improvise with the vinegar. I've been looking for a good recipe and this looks like IT! Thanks!
@MouseChirpy Ooooh Lettie, these are so good! Even Scott couldn't get over how fluffy they were. He said it again while we sat down to eat (mother had already eaten) .. He was very impressed :)

@thatgirlvintage Thanks girl :) I really don't watch any cooking channels on here. But I have seen a few that have someone holding their camera and they are all prettified, chopping while they primp for the camera.. yeah, that's not me.
Beth, they are also wonderful if you add some blueberries to them when they are cooking on the griddle, then drizzle some peanut butter or maple syrup on top. absolutely divine lol.
@Fitange I LOVE blueberries, but you know what? I'm weird. I don't like anything taking away the flavor of just a pancake. Believe me, I have tried. I just can't do it haha Although I have a friend that when we were in New Orleans would always order waffles with peanut butter, bananas and syrup on them
Those look amazing! I never had a pancake until I was in my 30s. My Mom never cooked them and we lived in a very small town where there wasn't a ihop LOL
@Texa41 We just got our first IHOPs here a couple of years ago. Every time we went to Maui (which was the only island that had one), we'd go. Now that we have them here on our island--I have not gone HAHA
O to the M to the G!!!!! My god those look YUMMO!!!!! Gotta make these. Oh, one question, you siad use your jedi senses. well, what if you dont have any? :) (I like your brothers tattoo)

@justrick48 I used to appear at the end of each video and give my feedback but sometimes there are lots of idiots out there and I preferred not being seen for a while. I peek in occasionally and do other little videos now and then, just don't want to set up a camera and hope I'm in the shot and then reposition it for the food, etc. It already takes a bit of prep to get everything ready for filming vs. just cooking. Time + me = not a whole lot of it. Got a business to run & it's hoppin right now!
It's okay if I have lumps in my stuff? Oh good - I was worried! :D LOL - couldn't help it. "They're so fluffy!" Love it. I may try them one day too. Better favorite this so I can find it again... Maybe for supper.....
@wildheart5 Oh man, I always wanted really fluffy ones. Ones in the past just didn't get nice and super light like that. But I also used to cook it in oil, so they kind of tend to get soggy
@IWalk4tnt oh no, you cant, they'll turn out horrible! it would be awful! they might even explode!..... of course you can flip it with your right hand, you idiot.
@quenelko LOL! Simmer down. She was kidding with me, since I get those kinds of questions a LOT! seriously. You would be amazed. Try going back through some of the other videos' comments.
