  • it would look cooler if the dividers were clear but none the less this is my future aquarium for bettas!

  • That was a creative idea. To top it off it looks great.

  • i have a fish bowl ( medium goldfish size) for my betta boston.. i bought him about 5 days ago and he was doing well, i have gravel ( colored rainbow) in the bottom and a fake plant in the tank.. the water is filled only half way up.. like i said he WAS doing well.but not so muc hanymore.. hes being swimming to the surface and sitting there , then to the corner and floating in the edge of the corner. check my channel, you can see boston there. please help

  • If you put the female in the center the males wont try to fight each other

  • you shood just get 2 more tanks that way thay will have more room to swim and you can add tetrs

  • The last one is the best.

  • What is so bad about dividing a tank? I was also wondering, do you know if they make black mesh?

  • I have a ten gallon right now, which isn't suitable for my fish right now, so after I get a twenty gallon, I'm gonna turn my ten gallon into a community beta tank. :P

  • go pepper!!!

  • Beautiful bettas, I love their colours!!

  • You shouldn't divide them.That's cruel.

  • @BlueSoda79 its even more cruel when u see 3 male bettas fighting to the death...

  • @kinyo1878 ikr

  • @BlueSoda79 well then it isnt cruel to decide them then is it, besides, bettas are used to cramp enclosures as they live in puddles basically in the wild haha

  • @kinyo1878 If I saw a betta fish..I WOULD GRAB IT and kill it..just kidding LOL.

  • @kinyo1878 They actually don't, they do part of the year when the ditches and rice paddies dry up in the dry season, but it is a survival technique not how they live year round. It's a myth that most people believe in order to justify keeping bettas in teeny tiny bowls when in actuality they are used to living in giant rice fields kilometers wide for the majority of the year.

  • @kinyo1878 They actually don't live in puddles. True they do for a small part of the year when the ditches and rice paddies dry up leaving small pools in the dry season, but this is definitely not how they live year round. It's a myth that they live like this year round, one that helps the uneducated justify keeping bettas in teeny tiny bowls when in actuality they are used to living in giant rice fields kilometers wide for the majority of the year maintaining cast territories.

  • @BlueSoda79 2 males in one tank could mean death for one of both fish. The nickname fighting fish is due to the fact that they live solitary most of the time. Putting multiple males in one tank will cause fighting most of the time.

  • i love it!

  • This video has made me decide to try this, I currently have 10 bettas, 5 males and 5 females, and have each male in own tank making 6 tanks, and so I need a way to free up space and seeing that there is enough space, though the boys im putting in are in 1 or 1.5 gallons

  • nice set up thank you for not using the one where you see the fish see each other

also thank you for saving those bettas like i would ,but :( i dont have any more room so i cant even though everytime i go to pet smart and petco i see a small trashcan filled with dead fish as they scoop them out D: it was horrifing seeing that happen i hope one day i can save fish from horrible pet store whos with me

lets put a end to fish abuse in petstores lets save every fish from ick ich and other diesise

  • the red 1s like man I got screwed! they got more room than me wtf am I not pretty?

  • love it! and props to you for rescuing bettas. i feel so sorry for them when i see them in stores...I have one...but love yours!

  • what didi you use to divide them up??

  • @imjustdadriver Google diy tank divider, and click on the first link that comes up. That'll give you the directions I used to make these dividers.

  • @Dukie1346 thanks alot mate nice setup by the way

  • wow u have 3 bettas i only have 1

  • @xyang9374

If you check out my videos you can see recent videos :)

  • @xyang9374 3 is nothing lol i have 10!

  • @snapplechick716 I had 17 at one time .__________.

  • I love starbust, he's beautiful. But if one gets sick, wont the others be contaminated as well?

  • @poeto4 well, starburst died a few months ago, sadly, but for unknown reasons :(

Anyway, I don't have this tank divided anymore, but what I did was if a fish shows any symptom of being sick, I remove him/her and put him/her in a smaller tank, about 1.5 gallons, until the fish is no longer sick.

  • I absolutely love this idea... I am thinking of doing a 4 or 5 way divide in a 20gallong high tank that I have... so I can put bettas in each one. Thinking of breeding them a bit (i have a LOT of experience and am aware of how hard it can be.. dont worry)

thanks for this inspiration... I just crossed the 2000g line... 2150g of water in my home... I love fish and they are about the only thing that keeps me sane these days

  • @RoyalFlush509 Thanks for the comment :)

I wish you luck with the breeding and your divided tank. Wow, over 2000g? That's awesome, seriously. I love my fish as well, and they are calming to watch and enjoy. Glad you've decided to give some bettas the space they need! Once again, good luck. :)
