thats hilarious how you dumped the exhaust out the side like that. sounds similar to my 2000 chevy metro 3 cylinder 5 speed..my exhaust broke right at the flange under the floorboard when i was driving down i-74 today. i think people really dont realize how dependable and tough the metros have always been. mine has 207,000 miles on it and i think that the car itself will rust away before the engine ever decides to take a crap.
@kowalskideahl Well I still had to drive the car for a daily driver at that time so I didn't want to beat on it too much and the neighbours don't really like that car too much so I didn't want to piss them off too bad, I had literally just pulled it out of the weeds before this vid so that was the first drive of the season as well, now that car is no longer my driver so I beat on it a bit in our yard now, Im actually planning to take it to the drag strip and stir up a few laughs this year.
@kowalskideahl when I get some time Ill get an updated vido of me beating on it in the yard, it will wind out and spin the tires all the way through 2nd gear in the tall grass but 3rd gear is too much LOL
goin wiht a ford 3.8 six. far cheaper than a 13b overhaul , this is with everythign needed too. yes a dirty rx7 but hell might as well get it on the road tho
Update: Last week the support part of the rear bumper rotted completely off and was bouncing around in the bumper cover, the mounts are gone so next week I have to fix it, it is rotting away a lot faster this year then last, my john deer green paint over rust did not help much like I expected, that rust spot is now about 2 times that big, this may be the last year out of the GEO.
Ah I must update this video, I am an auto mechanic and know what to look for, they rot out in the front where the front end is attached to the rest of the car, Geo's are unibody No frame, they have aL shaped area that rots out on them then the front end falls down/off, since this video I have fixed that and I should post pictures of it, its a rigged up fix but it will never break. and besides I only paid $150 for the car

rust, umm, if your frame is rusted your car will be screwed, metros are notorious for that, frame rust can cause the frame to crack.
