not adverstising but theres an easier way to make simple put anchor put pulleyabove put axels put gear box put axles put water wheel lot simpler put i cant explan wiring but its really simple to figure out hope i helped

Alright I am uploading my save right now, it's still 1.6.6 SO IT WONT WORK WITH 1.7. This is OBVIOUSLY because Better Than Wolves is still in 1.6.6. I will update to 1.7 as soon as FlowerChild updates his mod.

YOU WILL NEED PISTONS MOD and BETTER THAN WOLVES MOD INSTALLED TO USE ALL CREATIONS. You can just use better than wolves if you dont care about the pistons creations.

the switches wont toggle the redstone torches in the logic gate unless they are attached directly to the blocks

just use a memory cells and buttons

@theanimated1 If you just use memory cells, you would need two buttons for each side of a door, or each floor. The flip flop is used because you just toggle one value and you only need 1 button on each floor/side

i added call buttins to each floor anyways if that rare occasion happens

@theanimated1 I understand that would work at the bare minimum and you are correct, but you asked why these flip flops are used. What if you are at the bottom and the elevator is at the top? You would not be able to call it down AND make it go up again with just a memory cell and 1 button.

You can also use this for a elevator for any amount of floors, however high you want it. All you do is stack Redstone torches ontop of eachother to make a longer line. By stack I mean [Torch] [Block] [Torch] [Block] [Torch] [Block] That's about one level so do that five times and you have a 5 floor elevator. REALLY hard to explain in text

I did mine EXACTLY like this, followed it exactly like the video showed but power just won't run up the damn axels, the first 2 axels smoke like normal then it just stops! It's INCREDIBLY frustrating!! can anyone help?

@LordLaseneph Make sure your inputs on the gearboxes are lined up properly. Line up the side with 4 triangles pointing towards the middle towards the axle providing the power.

@TheSheepGuru Because this IS a tutorial. He's not saying anything, but if you watch it you can copy what he's done and recreate it. If it wasn't a tutorial, you'd just see him pressing levers and riding up and down his elevator. He's stripped it down to the bare so people can examine how he did it critically.

Eh. If you don't know anything about redstone, this is probably rediculously complicated, and I understand that. I was there once. But if you understand that the main part is the xOR gate, then it becomes simpler. For reference, google: Redstone circuits. That should explain some stuff.

I walk you through the designs and if you can't recreate it yourself its not worth trying. Me speaking wouldnt help any extra. And to do a "watch as i build it" video would take ages of video
