Alberts only went to his knees because he was trying to make a play on the puck. He did what he had to because if that puck gets passed him the Flyers have a 2 on 1 going. They lead the league in fighting majors because they constantly do this and then get penalized when the other team comes after them. Notice how Eager got a fighting major even though he wanted no part of Aaron Ward. A good hit great, fighting is great but it only works if you stay within the parameters of the game.

Rattus, I was at the game. Eager got a 2 minute boarding call, Ward got 2 min for roughing. Eager got 5 earlier for a fight. As for the hit-Hartnell should have held up no doubt. But the Flyers are no more dirty than the Islanders (Chris Simon), the Ducks (Pronger is dirty as they come), and every team that signed Bertuzzi since his freak-out. Players do need to protect themselves better though. The Flyers learned that the hard way with Lindros skating with his head down all the time.
