Most all of these trucks are not 18 wheelers, they are the road tractor portion of an 18 wheeler. A tractor trailer "combo" consists of 18 wheels, hence an 18 wheeler. I have seen TT's coming out of northern Michigan near Canada where there is 42 wheels. Now that's a sight!!!
