One thing annoys me about this and other video's like it....the camera/editing/directing is abysmal. Instead of showing the dancers we are getting fancy shots of the backs of people's heads or of the musicians...don't get me wrong, I respect the musicians and without the audience why dance but come on....focus on the dancers. Notice that when the leader is about to do a special move the camera zooms OUT or pans somewhere else!

One reason why I won't subscribe to Greek TV!

1. Malevisiotis at the beggining

2. Sigano (a slow dance) in the middle

3. Pentozali at the end.

@htsavdaris I understand, as a cretan dancer and musician myself, i was just trying to make a point in saying it sound nothing like turkish music. In Crete, we have a Laouto, which they do not use. A little side note, the Megalakakides have to be the greatest dancers out there.

@spartandescendant This dance is called Horon. It's practiced by the 'black sea' people in Turkey who live in the north-eastern part. Originally the Pontians lived there, a group of ethnic Greek. When the Ottomans conquered Byzantium, they had freedom of religion and culture. The Turkish people kind of took over the dance. Well actually this dance, Horon, isn't Pontian only, it's mixed with Persian influences too. Right now this area isn't Byzantium anymore, it's Turkish
