No it won't break the sounds barrier... we cruise between .77-.81 Mach (% speed of sound). Our high bypass turbofans were not designed for supersonic speeds! Sorry to burst your bubble.

yes it has been done a million times,and i like the video doesnt matter which car does it...but what i didnt get what was so bad about it? its not like all the while they have been doing learjet vs car...its just a comparison of the difference btw different plane speed and car speed,remember last yr spyker did it with a fighter jet...

You are right for one thing.. second.. the jet is flying slow as hell.. that car could never match the speed of that plane at half throttle even.. that thing does 350knots. This plane has his flaps extended to keep it from going too fast.. this is clearly bullshit.

they will do about 0.8m or 470mph ground speed or 320 knots indicated air speed at high altitudes i.e + 26000 ft .
