Thank you so much for this wonderful tutorial. I will be in Lisbon in September and I will want to purchase a pin like this. Can you tell me what the pin is called in Portuguese? Thank you.
I'm glad these videos are helping people to learn about this tecnique. There's a store in the "baixa" (downtown) of Lisbon called Tricots Brancal, it's in the Fanqueiro's Street, it has a lot of yarn and you can ask there for a "alfinete de tricotar" or "alfinete de dama", they'll understand. I'm sure if you go to any other store they'll know.
Thank you SO much for these videos! I'm a left-handed knitter who has struggled with both English and Continental styles, particularly when dealing with colorwork (Norwegian patterns, Fair Isle, etc.). Portuguese style is SO much easier, and makes colorwork FUN--not frustrating--for lefties. Again, a thousand thanks!
Thanks you so much, Joana, for adding this video. The members of my knitting groups, who all received knitting pins from my recent trip to Sao Miguel, will be very interested to give this technique a try. Blessings, Leslie
