Amazing! I sing Baritone Opera (I've never had a teacher, but I can get it pretty damn close to true Opera. :3) I've been looking for a way to practice, but I haven't really ever found a way to, with other people. I sing constantly, and I write a lot so maybe that accounts for something. :) if anyone has any songs for me to try out, please let me know. ;D
Zaccharia is noted as a lyrical basso by many. Thus it can be sung by a low (dark) bass-baritone, like Ramey and even by a true basso if he lightens the upper register. The matter is about the singer doing a good job of it and this singer is doing fine! The low G in the cadenza could have been softer but he has been singing in the upper register most of the time and it is not easy to relax the vocal chords all of a sudden.
This is an outstanding young bass voice. I don't hear anything that even resembles a baritone. Vazgen excellent job. I would guess that your voice will sound suberb in your 40s as long as you don't take on the dramatic roles too early...
This young man sounds fantastic and COMPLETELY bass.... "Choral Bass"? What? He is only singing Gs because that's what the music asked for..... This young man is an extraordinary talent..... Bravo Vazgen!!!!!!!
I'm not an expert by any means, but there is a difference between a solo bass and a choral bass. A solo bass is going to sing high because, quite frankly, that's what most people want to hear. Not some low rumbling type noise. Choral bass is a different story. That's when you really need the low notes to complete those chords.
BRAVO!

Perhaps he can become a bass, but I ask myself if a bass can hit an E2, he must be older than 28. Is that true?
Could somebody tell me that?
I'm just a lay(wo)man.
Elsynore 2 years ago
I'm a layman myself, but I can sing lower than E2 and I'm only fourteen.. I actually have no difficulty performing this piece.

Thank's for your answer.
So the conclusion is some very young people kan hit a lower note as E2.

He sounds more like a baritone, but either way, it is an excellent voice.

Why, because he's not "singing" extremely low notes?
agentkro 2 years ago
No, but the lowest notes I can hear him hitting effectively are still well in the Baritone range. The lowest I heard was a G2.
I am not saying you need to be super low, but a bass would be able to hit an E2 easily and resonantly.
He very well could be one, just saying he sounds like a Bari in this video.
