It seems alive in the way it moves, now if we can put some really smart AI in it we could drop some in other countries and take over the world. Bwahahahahahahahaha. It is really cool tho :)
That's the most amazing part of all of his robots. The motions are so fluid, and when one part moves, other parts of the bot move with it. It makes it so... lifelike.
You guys seem to have a lot of fun doing this, and I (on a FIRST Robotics team - Animation) do very much enjoy watching it. Keep up the good/intruiguing/questionably genius work.
This vid made me fall in love with Hexapods. Never was a big bot person, but now I so am going to look into this stuff. :D purely amazing! You should program them to run.. lol
I don't know, it could just be a guy thing of having a girl to call your own, but hey, there are always exceptions. Maybe amongst robot programmers, making their creations 'female' in a sense helps to lower the fear of their creations going all sky-net on them ;D
u should make it climb walls, like with that gecko tape stuff some scienists made, it stacks when u pull down on it but when you pull out or up it releases .
Shut the fuck up, all you do is solve a rubiks cube, his project can do something useful for the world, while your does nothing. So before you open your mouth again, think.
i would like to see your vacuum sprout legs and change history as we know it oh and while your at it why don't you attach some guns to it, but until then stfu.
very cool. e way it's being programme and how smooth it's action are. if the front hindge is strong enough to pull the robot up. it'll be cooler! ;] cool shit~!
That is wicked and amazing it's action's look and act like an actual spider/insect, I have watched some of the other video's of your hexapod robot and that prove's to be impressive.
Beautiful demo. The manipulation abilities of small hexapods are just starting to be explored, and this is a wonderful demonstration of what is possible.
amazing, what you should try and do, seeing as it's running on programming, is add R/C, and as an extra, add sensors, so if there is no light around, it heads to the nearest light source, if it hits something it turns in a random direction, or probes with the front legs to see if it can climb it. its amazing even without that, but if it did that, it would be like *WOWW!*
I dont think its remote controlled, or even specifically programmed to do it. There was probably an intuitive AI made part of it that lets the bot figure shit out on its own to some degree
No remote control yet.. So far it's only preprogrammed sequences. No fancy AI ;) All sequences are made with a Excel sheet I call PEP. For more info visit forums at Lynxmotion or Trossen Robotics.
All moving about a centimeter a second, but with stealth, vast numbers, and a touch 'o death...me with a baseball bat, maybe some hairspray and a lighter, microwaving a couple, making Home Alone-type death traps to lure robo-spiders to their doom...
I think we have the makings of a decent Hollywood movie here.
most robots look rigid in their design, but this robot moves much more smoothly. It looks like it uses its legs instead of predefined actions making it do what its made to do

arduinotm 1 year ago
So, are these movements all pre-programmed or is it on-the-fly decision making?
It's much more impressive if the robot is actually playing around with the box in a sort of sandbox manner.

Just imagine: If your Little Cuty decides to visit Daddy and is trying to crawl under the blanket too, she will be send AIRBORN immediately!
And off they go - both ladies - different directions! ;oD

epic fail at the end but still awesome ^^

Is this remote controled or is it AI/self controled???
cuz if it is an AI, then it is actually pretty clever.
If built in super size and perhaps a better AI then it could be the first generation of battle robots.
Just imagin a machine gun or a gatling mounted on the top of it!!! Wow.
