Just watched all 8 videos. I so enjoy your way of talking and have followed your blog for a couple of years. You're a great storyteller and very inspirational, thank you! :)
Thanks for recording your keynote and sharing it with us. That is great that you have decided to donate the money you have earned back to musicians. You are very generous! Now off to watch the rest of the videos.
What if I'm 30 and I didn't have that mindset you mentioned when you were a kid? Can I start a successful business without a focused idea but only some general thoughts?
@alexpinti 30 is young! Of course you can start a successful business without a focused idea. You have the advantage of more flexibility in your plan! Just keep making it something that people want enough to pay for.
@dereksivers I'm working with a guy who is trying to start a new business at the age of 62! Biofuels.
He's worked for others in chemical engineering and environmental engineering for 40 years. Now he wants to be his own boss. And we're going to badly need biofuels and other forms of high-energy-density sources of power (especially solar and wind) for transportation ASAP as fossil oil dries up and manmade climate change worsens.
I've been teaching guitar online for years and get great comments, millions of views and thousands of fans/followers but can't generate the online sales ( a few hundred a month). So I've taken a lot of action not just an idea ;) I love teaching and sharing and don't want to give it up, so I'm not sure what to do at this point to increase sales so I can do it full time (require about $2K per month). Can you or someone help with this?
sweet nice story man, i want to start a buisniss on my own just me no employees, hope i get success.
what i think is the key for me to success is experience because i want to make websites and the art for a website or something else related to graphic design i want to be universal as possible that's why i started a study for more then 7 year :)
in this study i learn how to code and how to design.
@greateralexander As you see the other parts, it's similar but different from my book. Some of the same stories. Some different.
This is a keynote speech I've done at a few conferences over the past year, and always got a great reception, so I finally recorded it to share with everyone. (Also so I could consider it done - and stop doing it at conferences.)
You're a really wunderful human being. :)

@wkriski Lots of ideas. Email me. Read books on marketing. Get new ideas for how to reach people. Do what the others aren't.
