Your Spanish I presume. If, so who do you like in futbol, that's if you're into that. Great video by the way. You convinced me to get this mighty beast when I can afford it.
Hi, i really liked your video. Manual is our friend :) I don't own a dslr yet, but plan to get a 5D in a few days ( i hesitated with the 1ds ) mainly cos its a 24x36 sensor size, and no crop thingie. tell us what are your first impression with the 5D thanx
Heather, how have your pictures turned out so far? What lens do you use? I dont want to spend a ton of money on the mark 2 so this is what im thinking of. I dont care what these people say, my lens right now is a 24-70 L lens so the full sensor would be ideal rather then the cropped 50d. tell me what you think
i would have waited if i where you i word dust is going too make your life crazy......that said the 5dmark 2 has dust cleaning so yeah and has two the resalution of the outdated 5d
I too thought like you icecreamfilling. But after looking at the rrp for the 5DII. I too decided to go with the Canon 5D I. Mainly because it is still a great camera and its half the price of a 5dII. My one was a great deal because i managed to score a few bonus items with mine which includes a 8gb CF card and the bg-e4 vertical grip.
Heather if i where you i would take the 5d back and wait for the 5dmark 2 its only two months and your camera now is outdated and you would be much happier with the mark 2 because you will not have too worry about dust which on the first 5d it will drive you crazy and the overal image quality jumps 10mp and it is a freakin sweet deal the saleing price is 2600 and i bet you didnt pay much less then that for your 5d i would switch if you dont you are going to regret it trust me.
UPDATE: I am now incredibly happy I purchased the 5D and not the MarkkII. I like the files that come out of it so much better, and I have personally met tons of professionals who, after trying the MarkII, have ended up sticking with the MarkI. But to each his own of course! :)
Hello! Yes, the Canon 5d markII was just released! I was going to wait until after it came out, but I found the 5d for such a good deal that I went ahead with it. The markII looks pretty sweet - but one of the biggest upgrades is that is has HD video capability, which I don't really need for my shoots. Overall, very happy with the 5D :).
Not to mention 21MP, 3.0 VGA screen, Live view, New Digic 4 processor, 3.9fps, ISO: 50-25600 expanded ISO range. New superior sensor, sensor Cleaning, 3 anti-reflective coatings on the LCD screen.
With the combined performance of the new technology apparently outweighs the 1DsMkIII.
Hi Heather. I must add a bit of info today. I too bought a Canon 5D I. Reason being due to the economic crisis the 5D II now is no longer justifiably within my financial reach . I agree with anyone who buys a 5D I in these hard times, whether new or used it is a beautiful camera to upgrade too. I got one for half the price of a 5d II and mine came with a battery grip and everything.
Yes, the 5dII is pretty smashing :). I will be purchasing it eventually and using my current 5d as a back-up, but I don't regret the purchase at all. It was right in my price range, and doing everything I need it to do :).
i agree, the 5d is all you need, if we are going to play the 'hold out for the better model' game then why not wait for the 5d mark 3 or mark 4... you have to draw the line somewhere, why not make it at one of the best, most successful, tried and true cameras ever built, the original 5d. I love it.

It was shot with the iMac PhotoBooth in video mode ;). That's why it's backward.
