I would never allow my kids to go to a government school. Most parents put their kids on those looser cruzers and drive off the other direction in their brand new car to a dead end job, or worse let them walk out the door on their own, while they sofa surf to oprah all day. I will never regret working a little harder, to afford a good private school education for my children.
