I love bare minerals because it is so natural looking. I have been using it for about 2 years and still love it. It doesn't break my skin out like most do. I used to use Almay foundation but then they changed it and had to find something else... I like this way more because liquid foundation can be cakey. I love this video and I agree, Bare Minerals is the best mineral makeup out there. Hey have you tried Makeup Forever's HD Powder? I use it instead of the mineral veil now. I think it's easier to work with and when I get tan I don't get that weird pasty look.

i just subscribed to u and i saw a video with your blonde hair first but when i saw this i didnt think it was the same girl. This red is Hott, it adds so much more dimension to your face and its a good complement to your skin...WAY BETTER than the blonde. I hope u keep it red:)
Hey Poo - BE won't melt off the skin because it's a mineralized foundation rather than a liquid or a cream. I'd say it is a must for people that live in warmer climates than most just for that reason alone! Plus it has SPF 15 and that's needed always! It will only become cakey if you put to much on. You only need the smallest amount it's sick lol. And always put on moisturizer before you apply it so it doesn't look like it's sitting on the skin.
@pooja69patel i live in Cali and we have temp up to 106 sometimes.. i been using it for a while and it's never melted on me.. it stays put n it's light and it gives you a glow and makes ur face look smooth..
that's my personal experience but idk i'm not the type to sweat a lot i most likely just get sticky.. so hope this helps!

heyy i also use the origins face wash and i use a toner by them called united state. i just got the hope in a jar moisturizer and i like how it works... the only problem is i think it smells really gross. do you recommend another moisturizer? do you know if the one with spf smells just as bad? its a shame cause this product works amazing but im sensitive to the smell so i think i might return it.... what do you recommend? :-)

Well at the end your face looks just great but first when I saw your mineral color I found it too dark. So it's better to use like this, a bit darker than the actual skin tone? Thx a lot! :)
Then you're using way to much! Mineral Veil is so popular that people don't get to give good directions when they sell it to you. But you need such a small amount it's stupid lol. Also, when you put it on (as well as any type of setting powder) brush down the small hairs on the face that everyone has! :) Give it time, and use a LOT less :)

I love Bare Minerals but, I saw in some of your older vids that you used the MAC studio stick foundation and it looked really stunning on you so I was considering trying it out. What are your thoughts on it? Is it worth the money or do you now prefer Bare Minerals?
It all depends on what type of coverage you'd want. Honestly I'm over the studio stick by MAC and I'm in LOVE with the Matte Velvet Foundation by Makeup Forever...it's flawless! But if you want a more natural skin finish use the Bare Minerals!
is the Smashbox's Photo Finish Primer good for oily skin and does it really keep your make up on all day because i was wondering if it was worth the money
Smashbox is amazing. It is well worth the cash. It is oil free, but if you tend to have oily skin try to get a mattifier too. Sephora sells one by Shishedo that is in stick form and is amazing. It can be used WITH the Smashbox Photo Finish. Oh and to answer your question fully...lol Yes it is good for oily skin. If your skin is red or even a bit yellow in complexion they have color corrector primers that will minimize the look of those two issues! Let me know how it works out! xoxo Sarah
i have a question. I'm not really sure how to word it but the bm lady said that it lasts all day but i am noticing that half way through the day that is looks like it all just came off my face. what do you think i am doing wrong. i kinda think that the shade i chose is a little too dark. what do you think?
as I was saying the are under the eyes is very delicate, and concealer should be dabbed in gently to avoid premature aging.
Also, I have used many different primers for the face, I didn't quite like PRIME TIME by BE, and I do like Smashbox photo finish, but I bought STUDIO GEAR primer and so far it is my favorite....i absolutely love it.

It will work for all skin tones, adeeve. I'd say the only skin tone it won't work for is african american skin tones that aire on the darker side. You need to begin with moisturizer first so the product won't become ashy.
I wear moisturizer, before any makeup application, and it's still ashy. It's even ashy for my friend who wears NC25 by mac, that's pretty light skin. I agree that it works for a lot of skin tones, but to say all, is false advertisement. I loved your video though, and btw. African American people are not the only one's with dark skin tones.

I like their toner (the purple one) a lot back in the day. Haven't used Clinique in a long time, but I do remember their lotion is fabulous! Clinique to me, is a very young brand, geared towards tweens and teens. Their products are very light and are acne prone skin friendly, so if that's you then do it up!

Thanks! I like it so much better now though. It was way to dark then, but I understand why she went so dark the first time. Red hair fades so fast and I just had to deal with it until it faded just the way I wanted it. Look at my newest video to see the color now :)
Today I bought the Sephora bronzer brush you use! For my MAC Studio Fix (powder in a compact) foundation! Its just like the MAC 182 kabuki but with a handle and like $30 cheaper! I like how its so firm compared to other a lot softer powder brushes. Thanks so much!

Oh god I hated that phase...I was so friggin' depressed during that. Don't let that get you down though, you will get through it! For a face wash, use Cetaphil (spelling?) and a moisturizer that is SO gentle...talk to your dermatologist about what you should be using! But, I have no scars...amazing huh?

But it does look very good. and thanks for the mineral makeup tutorial. that stuff gives me such a hard time and is way to expensive to waste.

lol girl...let me tell you...BM is fantastic for that. BUT what I'd do is get yourself a good concealer. I use Benefit Concealer #01. I had BAD acne before, to the point where I had to use Accutane...so you can imagine how bad that was to take that stuff.

I went to school for makeup in High School, but never finished because I was going to school also, LOL. I got through the makeup portion of the cosmetology course, but wasn't able to finish the rest :-\. My Husband is getting a promotion soon (cross your fingers!) and I'll be able to work PT and go back to school! But I'm mostly self taught Yazzy.
Hey, here's a little tip for anyone who gets that ashy look after applying BareMinerals foundation and then following it up with the Mineral Veil: mix a little bit of the Mineral Veil with the BareMinerals foundation and then apply the mixture over your face. Because of this tip, I my face no longer looks like it's a part of a Halloween costume..lol!

They both smell nearly the same - try the moisturizer by DDF! It's a Dew moisturizer, with an SPF 15 so it's very light and fantastic lol!

i have a question. I'm not really sure how to word it but the bm lady said that it lasts all day but i am noticing that half way through the day that is looks like it all just came off my face. what do you think i am doing wrong. i kinda think that the shade i chose is a little too dark. what do you think?

as I was saying the are under the eyes is very delicate, and concealer should be dabbed in gently to avoid premature aging.
Also, I have used many different primers for the face, I didn't quite like PRIME TIME by BE, and I do like Smashbox photo finish, but I bought STUDIO GEAR primer and so far it is my favorite....i absolutely love it.

I haven't watched all your vids YET. And when I watch them I don't view them by date added, so I apologize, cause my comments on your vids are all over the place. However, I hope u don't mind if I give you a tip. I just read on your website you wrote about prevention of wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, lines etc...
So as a tip, when applying concealer under your eyes, always use your ring finger and gently apply it with a rolling motion so u can blend it in...this will avoid premature

I LOVE YOUR HAIR!!!!!My hair and skin color are just like yours so everything you do, works great for me. I got highlights this week, so now I have a thick blonde streak in the front. My "MEAN STREAK" lol

I've seen it, but it's TV...ya know? They're not ppl with skin like real people, like ME! haha, on TV their skin is washed, lotioned, primed, ex foliated and the whole 9 yards! Me, I was and moisturize...then I'm on to make up lol...

1)the hair is HOT...2)i ordered hope in a jar about two weeks ago, GREAT STUFF..( i switch it up with the new aquafina daily moisturizer though)...3) i've never recommended the rever upper as primer because it's moreso intended to nourish the skin with vitamins, i use it before my moisturizer. but i guess it would work as a primer for some people. 4)which concealer are you using?

mineral veil doesn't work for all skin tones. I have light skin, and it makes my face look ashey.

It will work for all skin tones, adeeve. I'd say the only skin tone it won't work for is african american skin tones that aire on the darker side. You need to begin with moisturizer first so the product won't become ashy.

I wear moisturizer, before any makeup application, and it's still ashy. It's even ashy for my friend who wears NC25 by mac, that's pretty light skin. I agree that it works for a lot of skin tones, but to say all, is false advertisement. I loved your video though, and btw. African American people are not the only one's with dark skin tones.

I like their toner (the purple one) a lot back in the day. Haven't used Clinique in a long time, but I do remember their lotion is fabulous! Clinique to me, is a very young brand, geared towards tweens and teens. Their products are very light and are acne prone skin friendly, so if that's you then do it up!

Thanks! I like it so much better now though. It was way to dark then, but I understand why she went so dark the first time. Red hair fades so fast and I just had to deal with it until it faded just the way I wanted it. Look at my newest video to see the color now :)

Today I bought the Sephora bronzer brush you use! For my MAC Studio Fix (powder in a compact) foundation! Its just like the MAC 182 kabuki but with a handle and like $30 cheaper! I like how its so firm compared to other a lot softer powder brushes. Thanks so much!

I can tell in your voice that tou were really shaken up about the new haricolor. I hope this has subsided for you ... cuz your hair is completely GORGEOUS! hey sarah, i just noticed your comment where you mentioned accutane. Im on week 2! in the gets worse before it gets better phase, but seeing your beautiful skin has re-energised me! any tips to deal with scar coverage/ the dry skin? please please do a vid on acne coverage!! it would be so helpful to so many people!

Oh god I hated that phase...I was so friggin' depressed during that. Don't let that get you down though, you will get through it! For a face wash, use Cetaphil (spelling?) and a moisturizer that is SO gentle...talk to your dermatologist about what you should be using! But, I have no scars...amazing huh?

First of all i think your hair is so cute, and dont worry, i have the exact same skin tone as you do and i had my hair that color a year ago and cried for 3 hours. But it does look very good. and thanks for the mineral makeup tutorial. that stuff gives me such a hard time and is way to expensive to waste.

Also: I love the MAC 182 kabuki (its sooooo soft and like dense and amazzzzzzingg) but can't bring myself to pay $45 for 1 brush. Know any good substitues?? Is the Sephora bronzer one like it do you think??

lol girl...let me tell you...BM is fantastic for that. BUT what I'd do is get yourself a good concealer. I use Benefit Concealer #01. I had BAD acne before, to the point where I had to use Accutane...so you can imagine how bad that was to take that stuff.

I went to school for makeup in High School, but never finished because I was going to school also, LOL. I got through the makeup portion of the cosmetology course, but wasn't able to finish the rest :-\. My Husband is getting a promotion soon (cross your fingers!) and I'll be able to work PT and go back to school! But I'm mostly self taught Yazzy.

Hey, here's a little tip for anyone who gets that ashy look after applying BareMinerals foundation and then following it up with the Mineral Veil: mix a little bit of the Mineral Veil with the BareMinerals foundation and then apply the mixture over your face. Because of this tip, I my face no longer looks like it's a part of a Halloween costume..lol!
