  • I have become very interested in what is called "primative skills." (A misnomer in my opinion.) I am looking for sources as it relates to the Michigan and nearby areas. I'm thinking that Native American skills would be the best source. Any guidance would be appreciated (i.e websites, books, etcetera.)

  • I am a decendant of the Wendat people (the Hurons) and we were amicable with the Anishinabe (Chippewa). There are many good books about michigan Native Americans out there if you're searching for that area.

  • I am looking for info on the Chippewa Indians in the Fifelake/Manton area in Michigan. I am trying to find any info on my other sisters brothers. If you can be of any help please let me know.

  • Have you tried the Ziibiwing Cultural Society in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan? They may have some information for you.

  • Thanks for the info I am going to check that out, but here is a name for you (Chief Okemos' ) Does it ring a bell? Let me know.

  • Robert TallTree and his wife came to our school yesterday...damn they were DEEP!

  • okemos is named after cheif okemos there is probably some information about him in okemos
