No. According to the book, he was an alcoholic paedophile ex-school teacher she rescued, then paid to provide her with blood. He offered to do it for free if she let them become intimate, but she refused.

sorry to disappoint you, but Eli is NOT a girl... the movie makes you think that shess a girl. and that she said, "I'm not a girl" because she's a vampire..but its actually a he. he was castrated. read the book. ohh in the movie you can see she has no vagina..the book explains it all. but I still prefer to think that is a girl :]

the movie was perfect as it was,i don't think it needs a remake,but it really wants a part2.the first Q a had in my mind in the first 10 min.of the movie is: who the hell is the old man with the girl?is he "dad"why is he killing for the vampire,is there no other way to get food.she could get it on her own.then i got it.strange but the same Q is back again.there must be something they could come up with to change "an inevitable outcome...."

Let the right one in is awesome! I loved it! I'm dieing to read the book!Living for a sequal to the movie! Not a remake! It doesn't need a remake it's perfect! Like the movie the eye!The original was good. Anyway's the movies bloody,creepy,very deep,and twisted! I think people don't like to call it a horror,because it is so touching,and deep,but I think it's both! though it's not a typical horror movie for that reason...So yeah these guy's have very good taste!
