unlike any other band Bloc Party was able to make my favorite album twice! and to my suprise they perform Intimacy very well live. i want to know what they're gonna do next but i kind of want it to be a suprise.

Their new sound is awsome, and above all GENIUS, it's their own sound like no other band.

They keep suprising be since silent alarm was released, since the start the are and will always be my favorite band!

Of course this was before people knew about Talons being added to the physical release, that would definetely be one of my fave songs off Intimacy. I personally love all 3 albums, by far my fave band and I suspect they will remain so for some time, especially if they continue to release such original new material :)

i love their new sound. i especially love the lyrics. i've always loved the lyrics. it doesnt matter if the sound changes if the lyrics still make me say 'YOU JUST DESCRIBED WHAT I WAS FEELING!' after i listen to a song. they'll always be great, and i'm glad they're doing different things. it makes me excited about the next album.

I didnt get really excited when I heard mercury... i thought wtf. I definitely didnt hear any "old skool" bloc party sounds in it... and it is not "really catchy" like you say.

If you ignore mercury, Intimacy is a great album.

i would have to disagree on the intimacy part. Yes, Silent Alarm is one on the best albums ever made, all songs in that album are amazing. Weekend in the City was Ok. I don't know what to think of intimacy, i like couple of songs; but i definitely think the Indie stuff suited them better. im going to see them live next saturday at the Argon Theatre in chicago....i really hope they don't only play Intimacy songs.
