I suppose I could offer a few belated answers. I'm the owner of that firearm & was holding the camera while he was shooting.
It's a federally registered short-barrel rifle (form1) with a Gemtech raptor 9mm silencer I bought from a FFL/SOT in Houston. It's perfectly legal here in Texas and most other states.
I built it on a bushmaster lower. It has a 2.5lb 2-stage trigger, OKO reflex sight and a 5" barrel with mp5-style qd lugs for the silencer. It uses colt 9mm or modified Uzi magazines & w
i think you put the stock against your shoulder and dont pull the trigger just pull the gun and dont hold the pistol grip thing tight umm hard to explain there is a vid that shows you how its some where on youtube
I was thinking of buying one of these as my first gun. I like the look and feel of the rifle opposed to the pistol. Anything I should be weary of? I'm not an expert just a fan.

For a first gun (and only gun) i would personally get an AK-47 if you can find one. If your only gonna get 1 gun you might want it to be reliable if u know what i mean. An AK was my first when i was 6 :)
man why do stupid video game nerds always post gay shit on firearms related videos? no one wants to hear your 'info' you got from playing socom on your x box or whatever. by the way 9X19 and 9x18 are pistol ammunition, 9x39 is not. thats for the one retard from the previous comments
LOL!!! Who says 9mm is for handguns only? If it has a bbl more than 16 inches and a buttstock its still a rifle if it shoots one shot with one trigger pull. Who told you a rifle can't shoot 9mm? it can if you put a bbl that can shoot 9mm ya know?
In this case, you are correct as it has a somewhat short barrel that would be considered a carbine vs. a rifle. But still, who says 9mm is only for handguns or say an mp5 (machinegun)?
Because it was made for and primarily fired through pistols when it was developed.
The purpose of a rifle is to fire off long range, hence the rifling spirals and hexagonals in old muskets that is now modernly emcompassed in all firearms.
Let's hit up prior to WWII.
They had REALLY BIG bullets for rifles. Put them in blowback auto's and they were machineguns.
Small bullets, that were small musket handguns. Grew to revolvers. To autoloaders.
You don't fire out 600 to 1000 yards with a 9x19. You don't hunt deer witha 9x19.
It's the purpose of the cartridge. It's meant for pistols and submachineguns, close-range weapons. low velocity, thick and wide, that's what makes it pistol ammo.
Thin, high velocity, longer catridge, that's what makes rifle ammunition
Yes. Pistols have rifling too. Rifles are chambered in many popular cartridges used in pistols too. For example: We have the .22LR, .357 magnum, 9mm, .40 S&W, .44 magnum, .45 colt and there are pistols chambered for the large cases of popular rifle cartriges. Such as .25-06, .270, 30-06 (I have one of these) and of course the .223 to name a few. I am merely asking your opinion. Thank you.
@UpcomingJedi half of those are false...the revolver rounds such as 44m and .357 dont work in semi-auto because they have tapered cases and RIMS...wont work in magazines very well now would they?>
right let me see. . . why should bumpfiring make anyone movebackwards lol . .. myself i wouldnt think bumpfiring is useful just fun on the range... 1 shot 1 kill is fair enuf :D if u want rapid fire and dont want to go all out for full auto or bumpfiring nonsense, buy the patented triple bullet ;) or a volley gun :D
yes, as you can see, he has a really hard time to keep a small caliber weapon under control. And thats because you dont have the gun right against your sholder
I've seen good groupings at closer ranges, IE 21 feet and 25 yards. It depends on how much you do it and how well you can control it. I'm not sure it'd be usefull under stressfire conditions, most people probably wouldn't be able to control it consistently.
The fact he's shooting a 9mm "underpowered" bullet has nothing to do with it, and when you're bumpfiring you aren't holding onto it solidly with the trigger hand, so you're much more prone to recoil.
So STFU and leave before you embarass yourself again.
embarass myself ha, I am not talking about the up and down movement. i am talking about the guy geting pushed back off of his stance or lack of one. he looses his balance and takes a step or two back to prevent falling over. as to your comment "you have no idea what bumpfiring is, do you" i first learned to bump fired a 10/22 when i was 9 (1991) years old i am 25 now i have bumpfired a dozen diffrent guns in a half dozen calibers
The whole point is to make your grip on the weapon with your trigger finger as loose as possible so of course it's going to push him back you fucking moron.
You pull the barrel forward as you keep the index trigger finger steady. As the recoil brings the gun's entire receiver back, your steady aiming hand pulls the entire gun forward, and if done at the right strength and power, you can have rapid firing as you see above with a semiauto. Pretty cool; I just saw this thing in Wikipedia!
Thats really cool that you can stick your thumb behind like that and have it work. I can do that sometimes. With a little practice, you can do it consistently like that other guy that shoots 2 mags full-bumpfire back to back.
And suppressors and automatic weapons are legal, but only if you're willing to pay a LOT of money (like over 10,000 for an automatic weapon) and get lots of registration and lisencing from federal officials as well as the local police.
i live in CA, anyone can get a suppressor but you need whats called an NFA lisence, and to do that you have to jump through all kinds of legal hoops (they might even try to tell you there's no such lisence) and register yourself with the federal government. Some states may not let you ship one into the state, in which case you need an additional Class 3 manufacturers lisence, and you can make your own suppressor, provided you pay the BATF a $250 tax stamp.
You must be talking about a state license then because there is no federal one. The form 4 states that its a...Hold on, lemme get mine out...An "Application for tax paid transfer and registration of firearm" Nowhere on there does it say its a license. Compare to your driver's license where it actually says its one. And you register the firearm/suppressor, not yourself (unless they require it of a kung fu master )
You can also make a suppressor yourself if you file a form 1 first without having a class 3 license which only entitles you to sell them, not make them like a gun shop owner (he isn't entitled to make any guns but can sell them). The tax is $200, not $250. If they tell you that, then someone is getting a nice tip. BTW, do you actually own any NFA stuff or did you talk to a gun shop dealer (that doesn't deal in class III stuff) who talked your ear full of nonsense?
you hold your trigger finger steady in the same position, we find it easier to fire from the hip with trigger finger through belt loop. basically the recoil from the gun moves the gun far enough back that it resets the trigger and the constant easy tension that you put on the gun as you pull it forwared releases the trigger again. some people put a rubber band on the trigger to pull it forward to make bump firing a little easier.
From what I understand, you keep forward pressure on the forend; firm grip, while you keep a loose fireing hand. I think the recoil is pulling back, while you are pulling forward, thus eliminating the need to pull the trigger for each shot. I think that it is the recoil doing it for you.
I suppose I could offer a few belated answers. I'm the owner of that firearm & was holding the camera while he was shooting.

He kinda has a lil bit of a point.
When you have rifles shooting pistol ammunition then "carbine" is a more accurate term.
"pistol caliber carbine"
LaRueDeeko 3 years ago
In this case, you are correct as it has a somewhat short barrel that would be considered a carbine vs. a rifle. But still, who says 9mm is only for handguns or say an mp5 (machinegun)?
UpcomingJedi 3 years ago
MP5 is a submachinegun....like he said.
I never said 9mm was only for handguns and subs.
But the 9x19 is impractical for longer ranges in a high power rifle.
They DO use 9mm rifles but they are 9x39mm...and HK made a 9x90mm
But yes, the MP5 is an automatic, that fires pistol ammunition, and is considered a submachinegun, just like that first guy said.
LaRueDeeko 3 years ago 3
Ok but why is the 9mm considered pistol ammunition?
UpcomingJedi 3 years ago
Because it was made for and primarily fired through pistols when it was developed.

yes of course pistols have rifling too.
But during development as firearms were growing up....these names stuck for their purpose.
But you're right....today , we are so interchangable that the names hardly mean anything.
but we keep these names to hold things in perspective for ourselves.
