However, I grew up as a male in a family and community that was practically ruled and policed by women; when I hear women say they want equality I simply can't comprehend it nor can I appreciate it seeing as I've spent 27 years struggling to escape feminine influence. Feminism has nothing to do with equality. If it did, you would demand that you and all other women be forced to register for the armed services before you can receive your student and because you can hold positions in office that can lead to war. If feminism was about equality, feminists would demand birth control be developed for men and that men too have reproductive rights. If it was about equality, women would demand male-specific cancers receive equal funding to breast cancer.
Even outside of the points you raised, there are numerous inequalities and issues of stratification around the world. Without more targeted responses to specific issues, it becomes much more difficult to make a positive difference. That there are some who specifically focus on sexual stratification, such as yourself, while others may focus on tribal issues, such as Survival International, is to me at least a very positive thing!

Agreed RED0660 as a current student I see the entitlements on a daily basis. Women sports who ever watches them or supports them? No one thats who. A couple of children a divorced female has her pick of state schools and social programs to choose from.
Yes, I've seen those entitlements as well. Women now acquire 60% of all college degrees. The Council On Women and Girls announced it plans to extend Title IX to all Science Technical engineering and mathematics admissions, or S.T.E.M. These areas are the only places where males still predominate in our colleges. I expect it to reduce male college degrees to %30 or %20 maybe more..

Women are very good at mending and changing our social fabric for better and worse.. They have managed to change the state of marriage with no-fault divorce, default female child custody and default awards of alimony and child support. Women used to say marriage was slavery so I guess the idea is to make divorce slavery for men and the threat of such slavery for men in marriage as well. The idea I suppose was to force male resource provision to the female both in and out of the pair bond.
The sad part is that I want to be a husband and father someday but I know that women have complete control over my children and the working labor of my body... I am scared she will take my children away, take my things and force me to support her and my estranged children financially...

If you call yourself a feminist, then that just means that you consider society to be unfair to women only (it wouldnt make sense to call it "unfair" to both sexes, since relative fairness is the only standard). There will never be a stable equality between the sexes. Men are the dominant gender and have been perceived as that throughout most civilizations. If it did, you would demand that you and all other women be forced to register for the armed services before you can receive your student and because you can hold positions in office that can lead to war. If feminism was about equality, feminists would demand birth control be developed for men and that men too have reproductive rights. Even outside of the points you raised, there are numerous inequalities and issues of stratification around the world. Without more targeted responses to specific issues, it becomes much more difficult to make a positive difference. That there are some who specifically focus on sexual stratification, such as yourself, while others may focus on tribal issues, such as Survival International, is to me at least a very positive thing!

Yes, I've seen those entitlements as well. Women now acquire 60% of all college degrees. The Council On Women and Girls announced it plans to extend Title IX to all Science Technical engineering and mathematics admissions, or S.T.E.M. These areas are the only places where males still predominate in our colleges. I expect it to reduce male college degrees to %30 or %20 maybe more..
I am not sure why they do this to men but they do for some reason..I don't understand it....

Women are very good at mending and changing our social fabric for better and worse.. They have managed to change the state of marriage with no-fault divorce, default female child custody and default awards of alimony and child support. Women used to say marriage was slavery so I guess the idea is to make divorce slavery for men and the threat of such slavery for men in marriage as well. The idea I suppose was to force male resource provision to the female both in and out of the pair bond.

There will never be a stable equality between the sexes. Men are the dominant gender and have been perceived as that throughout most civilizations. Sure, things like neglectful abuse to women by men is outrageous and stupid, but this general idea of stable equality won't be securely obtained, rationally speaking. Just my general opinion, I guess.

1. The reason why so many people equate Feminism to 40 years ago is because the Feminist organizations are still hanging onto those old arguments.
2. You won't call yourself a humanist until women's rights are addressed equally. How are womne's rights NOT addressed equally now?
3. There is neglect in reproductive rights against men too. Why don't The Feminists ever address this?

It's my position that we cannot tell what "masculine" and "feminine" traits might actually be biological until we stop teaching children with gender roles from birth.

I agree , women are equal to men, but that does not mean we should all be treated in the same way because the feminine gender has different issues that the masculine gender does not have to face and politics need to adjust to that. I am a feminist too. Women Power!

curious if you think that the previous generation, or current one has spun feminism off of it's projected/ intended course due to popularity power plays? Or if you think that the way it is is the way it is, and feminism is always reactionary to the present state? I learned feminism as a solidarity an equity, a protection for women's liberty, opposed to (but not excluding) manifestation of power.

They deny rape as a problem and are therefore apologists for what i call the sexual abuse holocaust. Am I right if I summarise your definition in this way?:
- Humanism is the recognition of human rights (equality of chances, liberty etc...)
- Feminism is the recognition of Women as part of Humanity.
- And It is pointless for a woman to fight for the primer if the latter is still not accepted.

I always wonder how they are fairing in the hypersexualized culture surrouding them the surreal level of objectification...I am as sex positive as they come...But I am amazed at the kinds of clothes that are marketed to little girls...
