Link owned a horse, but it was not named Epona (as she did not debut until "Ocarina of Time"). Link was friend with a fairy princess named Sprite. She was not Navi (again, an Ocarina character). Finally, the Trifoce of Courage did not make it's appearance until this series was somewhat continued in "Captain N: The Game Master".
A romantic interest between Link & Zelda was based off of the behind-the-curtain ending scene in "Zelda II". Zelda as an empowered tomboy was a new angle, as opposed to the classic (chauvanistic) damsel-in-distress. Ganon is a pig/boar-like humanoid because that's all he was known for at the time. Link did not wield The Master Sword, it did not yet exist (as it was only first introduced in "A Link to the Past". His short sword was based off of the sword artwork from the Zelda II" package.

I did not know that they had made a cartoon show based on the Legend of Zelda, I thought it was just a game franchise. I guess that will be something to look into. But I think the games will be a whole lot better than the TV show was.

I used to love this show as a child. Looking back I can see that it isn't quite as good as I remember, but hey, it's Zelda! :3
However, I can't help but be amazed at the amount of people on here that don't know anything about Zelda's roots, such as the fact that there was only 2 triforces in the beginning, Link could shoot beams from his sword in the FIRST game and the fact that Link here looks almost exactly as he does in the second game.
Link really had some moves at 0:27 but this show sucked. I used to watch it on Yahooligans when I was little, like, 4. but it made me not like LOZ for a few years until now.

well, in some LoZ games, when Link got his 2nd sword, if he had full hearts he would have a sword beam attack, the excuse me part, stupid>>. Characters needed: Saria(yes im a Link x Saria fan) and Malon, cause, idk, the ranch is just needed

There were only 2 Triforces in the original Legend of Zelda. The Triforce of Courage was added in Zelda II: The Adventure of Link.
