From my experience with my Mom's Sheltie named Butch, Shetland Sheepdogs are extremely smart and willing to learn tricks and please their loved ones. I taught Butch sit, down, roll, tummy up, bow, beg, balance & catch and left/right paw all in like 2-3 weeks... 0.o
