i dont understand why they banned these cars, this isnt the fastest car sport, why not just ban spectators from the tracks its not hard so this can live on! and the other thing is all drivers know if they crash they could end up killed but they still race so its know elses fault but thereselfs

@trevcannon Group B was banned in 1986 because of Joaquim Santos (Ford RS200) crash in Portugal rally (at least 4 people died) and right after Henry Toivonen (Lancia Delta S4) in Corcega rally died and his co-pilot after the car expoled . Group B cars are 800+ Bhp and will do 0-70mph in amazing 2.9 sec. .

@crabcore4eva it wasnt the spectators that cause the end of the group B era it was the fact the cars were uncontrollable so the FIA at the time saw fit to ban the the group b an the lesser know group c classes due to several drivers and co driver being severely handicapped and killed hence why to days FIA rules that no rally car can have more than 400bhp hence why all of today's rally cars are only at most 320bhp
