Do yourselves a favor, do NOT get trupanion insurance! They are a complete and total rip off. I called them prior to having ANY work done on my dog. Now they tell me they wont cover it!!! So Im stuck with a $4000 vet bill! You want good insurance? Go to VPI pet insurance. They are upfront about everything!

@jan1761 They have many a purpose, Search and Rescue,Police and Security Work,Guarding Estates,Family Protectors and Pets,Farm Dogs... So to say they have no purpose is a bit naive me thinks. My uncle in laws are bred to be true working type and are very fit and athletic and great guards at the yard along with Bullys and Presa's etc Its never been a hunter but was used to bay lions until the shooter shot the lion. Books won't tell you that though you have to ask SA Breeders
i have a dog hes very brave and muscular but knows i am his owner and is very obdient :) hes such a loveable dog whilst in the home but it is right when said that he is a protector of the home as his ears prick everytime someone walks past its so nice to feel safe at home as i live on my own with my 3 dogs although only one is a ridgeback he gets on well with my border collie and rottweiler
