You should have also contacted the end user if the Mac 2 months down the road to see if it did work? Then it would have helped you complete your life lesson.
I have a question ... how were you able to get something reimbursed from your credit card if you SOLD the merchandise? The proof from the repair shop was valid to cover? If so WOW!
nice strategy. It amazes me that people would pay more for a mac that doesn't work than a comparable, brand new hp/dell (especially when you can make it a hackintosh), but way to use all of your options to your greatest advantage.
So just to clarify: You sold the computer for $600, and got the $500 (or so) from the cc company because that's what the estimate was. But if you got an estimate for, say, $1000 (guaranteed repair) you would have made $1600, actually more than the cost of the computer? Is that correct?
Ramit, Great video as always. One question I do have for you - in your post to ebay did you include a minimum for bidding or a buy it now price? Did the auction really go up to $600 + from just bidding?
Right on dude
That is great info
Thanks

No minimum bid - I always do $0.99 (I think that's the min). No reserve.
