@HoltonStudios The actual cost of buying a rabbit is not very expensive, however you have to consider the long term costs of keeping one - food, bedding, vets fees, etc. If treated well, rabbits can live for an average of 5–7 years, so it's a big investment. You will also need to be prepared to train your rabbit to live indoors, and to invest in some 'bunny proofing' of your home as rabbits do like to chew a lot! But if you're serious about having one, they are absolutely wonderful pets.
I had the same problems with my bunnies but after awile the just got used to me since i had a certain time to take them out and pet them and hold them and they follow me around and lick me now!
It has been 2 weeks that I have bought two baby rabbits. They are now 10 weeks old. Any advise on how to get them used to being handled? When they are outside their cage, they come and smell me and sometimes put their paws on my legs. However, when I approach my hand to stroke them they run away. What do you recommend?
@AngelLullabye It often just takes time for rabbits to get fully used to you. try offering them little treats (small pieces of banana or apple) and just try to stroke them as they eat them so they start to associate you with nice things....eventually they should start to trust you. good luck!
Rabbits have a completely different charactor when outside of a cage, I wish more people would try it! The house doesn't smell, but you do have to clean out their litter tray regularly, and they do like to spread their hay around everywhere! We did try them outside in the beginning, but they were just very scared, and since our garden is tiled, it wasn't much fun for them. I definitely believe they are happier and safer indoors! And they get a lot more attention from us!!!
@SarahFencott so true, i wish everyone would do it...rabbits are the most mistreated and abused animal in the world i just wish i could help more and convince people to treat them properly
Than you for showing people how rabbits should be treated, and maintained! it aes me so sad to see rabbits in hutches and cages, and even worse outdoors :(
omg i played this for my friends rabbit while he was freaking out one time and he calmed down instantly! and are those holland lops? if so ik y he calmed down
I loved your video. Those are some happy rabbits. Why can't all pet owners be like you? Two burning questions though, 1. How do you potty train? and 2. How do you cover your electrical cords (especially the computer)?
Thanks dude! Rabbits are super easy to toilet train, when they've been neutred/spayed. It's a little more difficult if they haven't had the op, since they use their droppings to mark their territory. Give them a litter tray, put some of their old droppings already in it and they should just go automatically after that. They like going in the same place, where they can smell their scent. If they keep insisting on going to the toilet in other places, put more litter trays around...
until they get the message! Electric cables are a bit more complicated - they just love chewing through them! The best solution is to get some plastic tubing from a hardware store that is specifically meant to protect wires, you just make a slit and pop the wire inside. But it's probably safest to try and block off completely any areas where there are exposed wires, so they are out of the rabbit's reach, just in case. I hope that helps! Good luck and enjoy!
thanks! yep they are pretty contented rabbits! they do have a bizarre love of eating wallpaper tho, so it has meant a fair amount of redecorating to stop them! :o)

Do you have to let them outside every so often? Or are they quite content in being indoors? Also, does your house start to smell of rabbits?

Aaaw its lovely to see rabbits get the run of the house rather than being trapped in a hutch all day. They seem so happy.
